You said it - the most in-depth, borderline-confusing, dragon-kind designations of any 'major' fantasy universe must be attributed to The Witcher with its zoology-like examinations. Poultry combined with a dinosaur...there's a coackatrice. Possessing that (non-Witcher) basilisk-distant-ancestry "make you a famous statue" attribute in their vision plus the angriest constitution of any unwrangled cock-of-the-walk that I've ever heard of. When playing The Witcher 3, I especially had a strong sense (and wariness) of these monsters' speed. The agility and grace that the game engine/mechanics portrayed were impressive...from a distance, on the run. The "even MORE-reptilian dragon" is one back-of-the-mind reference that has persisted for the decades that I've known of wyverns in general. These creatures' sharp intellect has stood out among dragon comparisons, too; I think due to the misconceptions of their behavior and unexpected-ness of a a "smart raptor-lizard". They've always been sleek suckers, too. "Wily", is what one may think, to stare at a wyvern's literally-sharp features. Lucky orc shamans - I would ride one as a mount, stone-freezing eyes or not. THANK you, GrimDark Narrator, for so exhaustively cataloguing and explaining this overall dragonkin topic of the Continent. It's enrichingly-fascincating as well as amusing ("run, atheists!") - all entertaining, like always. Be well, may Melitele's blessings be with you, goodsir.
It's just shows you how each dragon can be uniquely dangerous but the one that I think is really dangerous is the ones who think and interact And those are very rare in The Witcher universe of course you're not going to know about those type because if they free thinking creatures are probably going to make sure they're secretive and tell they have no choice Of course it would be cool to have kind of dragons like Drago from dragonheart in there we're they talk but I think the ones on The Witcher just good as they are
I think it be cool if there was a fantasyland universe like this but replace the dominant human culture with the southern u.s., it's like the protagonist enter the crooked bag swamp and starts hearing dueling banjos.
I am not a hunter of Dragons, I am a researcher/scholar of Dragons

Amusing that Witchers have confused classifications just like anyone else trying to precisely sort things.
