I'm pretty much new to 2v2s this expansion and I actually switched to Fistweaver because of that video you uploaded recently giving that sneakpeek, just when I was wondering if it was viable at all. It's been a blast so far! I got the impression that some teams try to deal with Fistweavers in a way that they deal with "normal" healers, pretty much meaning that I can just DPS away without issue and get insane damage and healing output. Mind you, this is still talking about a low ranking as my teammate and I are learning 2v2s and to work well as a team. Great video, good addition to my personal experiences so far!

Got my Fistweaving Monk at 70 and a duos partner I found on the forums that has been carrying me and teaching me the ins and outs of WoW lol. Thank you for this guide since I've been trying to get better at it.

I've playing fistweaving for days. It's absolutely fun and mentally disorienting to the enemy team. Most of the players don't have any combat experience against fistweaving. I had a game with my arm war vs. lock+red druid. Our health didn't even go down to 90% without me casting any non-instant spells. We were jumping on the lock like 2 melee cleaves the entire game. His druid didn't even have enough gcd to cc any one of us cuz the lock was taking huge consistent dmg from both of us. Plus we had two interrupts and lots of other ways to stop the lock from casting. Pretty miserable match for the lock

Statue seems clunky with this build and style. 'Save them all' is crucial but the capstone feels pointless here. Vigorous expulsion seems like the better option over statue. More self healing that can be used while soothing another for better on demand healing. ESPECIALLY if going for damage with the crit build. That extra 15% is huge there, imo.
Knowing that you never are supposed to blackout kick before rising sun, does it make sense to macro them both? As in try to cast rising sun, if it fails itll auto blackout?
Sure! I don’t think I know how to make that macro, but that would make sense to do because you lose out on damage and healing if you don’t blackout kick first!
Ive been playing this for 2 weeks now, since hpala was so dogshit i hardswapped monk cus iknew, they had fistweaving. Shit is broken in 2's i can consistently match my fellow dps's dps (almost) setups are insane, with orc racial my sun kicks are hitting for 97k. You have to micro manage your partner with the faelines, but this playstyle is so fun. Im currently sitting at 1800+ rating with it. Not really trying to climb tho :)
1) Instead of Chi Wave, I prefer Chi Burst when there's a stealth because you can use it to catch em. Chi Wave is just shit honestly. 2) Spinning Crane Kick heals for 60% while in your Fae line with Awekened Faeline, which is good against Demo Locks and Unholy DKs because of their mass of pets. I'm shitting 50k+ HPS with Spinning Crane against demo locks because of it. 3) For more sustain, I like to go Misty Peaks + Rising Mist over Invoker's Delight and just get 1/2 Secret Infusion. It mesh well with Rapid Diffusion. 4) I also like Song of Chi-Ji over Mastery of Mist to get more control. While Mastery of Mist is great, you don't really need the second charge because of Rapid Diffusion, especially if you're running Rising Mist.
Just to add to this faeline does more than give us the healing buff, it triples our blackout kick and dramatically increases our damage it also gives us the ability to reset it. So if you kite us out it DRAMATICALLY decreases healing and damage. The reason it’s strong in 2s is because it’s harder for people to kite us out.

Pretty confident you can use alpha tiger on pets which can be nuts vs demonology or something constantly summoning new targets for you to farm

Is the jade statue actually needed? Afaik it only heals if you start healing a target with the casting spell (just forgot the name)
Soothing mist needs to be channeled which is why imo its pointless, the time i spend casting is less than the gcd for replacing statue lol

Unfortunately, it’s not. Dampening is too high, healing is too RNG, and you die too easily :(

Never considered not taking the second charge of ReM actually... going to try it out and see how it feels.

If monk has same damage as dps and same healing as enemy healer, there is something wrong, I hope for some nerfs, because in 2s its too much.
Let’s just settle down there! Fistweaving is really easy to counter, just kite out of the Faeline Stomp and our damage/healing gets destroyed

It can definitely be good! Be careful because Ancient Teaching healing is RNG so it heals random people. But I have done 25 million healing with it!
