Rumi had evolved over years after meeting shams Tabrizi.
He consider no limits for human as we are used to branding people in this life.
He is truly a free spirit bound by no worldly boundaries.
What a pure soul.....the objective of The Almighty of the creation.
    Peace

Those words fill a spiritual seeker with such longing...imagination, be silent, do not build any more idols...just let those words sink into the heart in silence.

Beautiful, simple, direct and I love it. It is the Breath of creation who is speaking, writing... and breathing through the musicians, the pauses in the music and the simple truths softly penetrating our crusted minds, beliefs... freeing us to join the breeze coming through the cracks of the windows and doors of perception.

Poetry, philosophy, science, wisdom, knowledge and experience, are all universal expressions of humanity at large, far transcending the boundaries, possessions and scope of any religion , person, groups or belief system.
Humanity is part of the universal pool of consciousness and love and it's expressions or reflections far senior to any religion known or to come.
We are not born Christian, Muslim, Jew, buddhist, Hindu, .....we are born alive & start with breathing and affection not religion.

This is due to the translation. In the original poem Rumi says "Gabr" which is a term referring to Zoroastrianism (the official religion before Islamic invasion of Iran).

It speaks of a state that overtakes the Sufis. Its called "Fana Fillah(Absorbed in Divinity)", in which duality disappears. He sees the apparent as delusion, a sign of the Traceless. Its his state of the heart speaking.

The love and deepness in his spirituality reaching to God by Mawlana,Balkhi is far greater than any religion or path which is imposed by any specific faith and religion.
I think Mawlana reached the love of god and himself far behind anyone can explain it.

Afghanistan has been a part of Persian Empire for centuries, yet fighting over which region, culture, flag or regain Jalal Aldin Mohammad Balkhi, Molana AKA Rumi belongs to is evidence to not understanding his poetry wisdon at all.
Rumi belongs to the spirit of humanity where there is no borders, flags, cultures or beliefs restricting human connection and understanding.
He also belongs to nobody and specially not to any form of ignorance.
Our consciousness is a complex form of universal light

The security and treasure we naturally seek is not in material wealth or worldly achievement. How can what we truly need and who we really are be anything which decays and breaks down, can be stolen and is surely left behind and is no more when the body dies? Know the treasure which cannot be stolen or taken away, which does not decay, which is immortal. Knowing is the greatest gift after Life itself. Don't be afraid to know what is beyond the ideas and beyond the dust to dust : )

:-) whatever brings peace, harmony, unity, friendship, respect....between all people of the world regardless of their ideology, beliefs, religion and culture is the universal truth.
Whatever does not serves the false intestate of one group, religion or culture that can be ignored or eradicated .
We are universal beings seeking uninstall truth, love and support. There is no monopoly in bring good.

Friend i am from Iranian decent, Bamiyan is in Afghanistan, not Iran. Yes there is influences of Buddhism in Iran going as back as 5th Century BCE, but Buddhism was already in decline in Iran and Afghanistan due to the persecution of Buddhists by the Sasanid Empire, the people who propagated Zoroastrianism.
Rumi was born in 1207 C.E. Well after the fall of Buddhism in Afghanistan and the decline of Zoroastrianism and the rise of Islam in Turkmenistan, Iran and Afghanistan.

Let´s make just one thing clear, for good...: Rumi WAS A MUSLIM. He testified that there is no God but God and that Muhammed a.s. is the Messenger of God, he was praying five times a day, he was fasting the Ramadan month, he was giving the proposed benefactions, he was going to Mecca for the Holy Pilgrimage. Hz. Mevlana was the MUSLIM!
