Whether Arthur realizes it or not, he caused such a city-wide disaster, Gotham now realizes they need to put more of their resources into helping the mentally ill. But, Arthur knows that they're doing it not for people like him, but for the so-called "innocents" and wants to prove them wrong.
He just like joker want chaos and destruction...that's what he is all about...flip society upside down so the loser and the loner the ones ppl dont care about are on top...why he killed those wallstreet men and why other have killed due to him...the end also shows him embracing the fact that he is like by other and he is the face of chaos in his city
Actually Arthur does realize it. He just enjoys it like a madman. The chaos began with lack of recognition and society's rich not realizing it. Arthur went into transformation from a innocent poor man with a disability to a madman who enjoys the destruction that surrounds him.

Man, someone tell me how is Joker not better than Batman, any day of the week? Both as a character and as a movie. If bruce wayne really abandoned him, he doesn't deserve to live.
I don’t think anyone actually understands this movie. At the end when he’s smoking and laughing that’s when we cut to the real joker in Arkham and he’s been telling this whole story even though it’s not true. Which is exactly what joker does, he tells you a story and then you find out it was all a lie. Everything we saw in the movie up until the end when he’s in Arkham talking with the lady was all in his head
@@pradineski But in actually seriously the film isn’t bad and I’m glad you enjoyed it. However I do agree that not a lot of people didn’t understand the film, I don’t think that’s because the ideas were too difficult or subtle, but rather that the film was a bit unfocused and had too much fluff for those ideas to really shine

I think he's (joker) in is early 30s in this film, young bruce might be around 13 years old, so theoretically in ten years they could fight as young batman and an older joker. Sure it isn't Ideal, but its possible.
It’s meant to be ambiguous of if this is happening in real time or a memory. Or if he’s the actual joker or just an “inspired” clown. Message of the movie was thst anyone could be “the joker”. So it could be the joker and Batman in their older years to where the joker knows Bruce is Batman and is remembering the death of his parents/ his origin, spliced with his own origin, or it’s a different joker that inspires the Batman joker, just like joker’s red hood is what inspired Jason Todd’s red hood
