White walls, white walls, white walls replaced wood beams and walls all with unique grains and warm tones. All of that comfort and warm colors replaced with asylum white... Too bad.
In December 1986 John held a 3 gig Country roads concert at the NEC in Birmingham. I was part of the equipment riggers for the concert. On the first day John had 2 concerts, 1 at 8pm and one at midnight, Around 10 in the evening, a load of the different teams were just sitting around with a couple of beers and chatting with John, his team and band. He talked about how Aspen was the inspiration for a lot of his music, and how he had to fell a load of trees because of problems with water, sewage and drainage problems. He employed master craftsmen to use all of the wood in the decor inside his house. The way he was talking, showed the true love he had for the house and surrounding nature. I would love to hear his comments about how the estate looks today.
The house is nice, but looking at the gorgeous outside views and serenity, gives me understanding of the loving peacefulness he must have felt. Perhaps the calmness of nature lead to the nature of his writing and music.
Nothing in this house reflects John’s personality except the fireplace and the other couple of things kept unchanged. I see nothing cozy about it. Industrial style with white walls? Why even buy this house owned by John Denver if you are going to ruin it.
You might not know, this is the replacement house. John's original home was all but torn Down, and replaced with this, hideous thing on the site, with just a few wall studs reused. I know about this first hand. A lot of folks don't know this. Sickening. His original home was a masterpiece of art and wood craftsmanship. It's pathetic the realtors exploited his name to sell this monstrosity.

This type of architecture completely reflects the abject vapidness, utter banality of our current era. White, empty spaces, devoid of privacy, intimacy, imagination, devoid of soul, of feeling - cold metallic, anti-human, anti-nature. Certainly fails to 'fill up the senses'. Keep it.
Ruined a beautiful home . Destroyed John’s architectural beauty that he designed. A few items kept from what was the John Denver home does not make this new sterile rendition anything close to what John created. These people ruined a beautiful home with warm wooden and nature inspired interior and exterior and turned it into a sterile and bland dwelling that has little of what John love and held dear. The home needed no renovation. Somehow these people decided they could do John Denver better and cash in on his name and legacy. Too bad they destroyed the home and its legacy I the process. John definitely would not approve of this renovation nor the vision these people are trying to pawn off. Honestly it’s a travesty and disgusting in my opinion. Just compare how it looked originally with this hollow sterile dwelling. Not even close to being John Denver worthy.
Who needs such a massively huge house? It all the rich people built homes this big it would use up all the materials and labor so that no one else could afford anything ... oh, that explains a lot.
Shame on you, Coldwell Banker !!! Riding on John Denver's fame to sell this metal monstrosity is a disgrace !!! Very, very little, resembles what John called home, and you're using his name with dead, deer head, and steel. Pul- lease!!!! This house is a curse on his beloved hills and landscape ! SHAME ON YOU !!!
This abomination was not what John built. I don't know thought he would have liked this, but I can tell he would hate it. I have been in the original house he and Annie shared, this is NOT it.

Well said, looks like a hospital lobby, atrocious!

Shoulda left it alone. You messed with a legacy.
Should have kept the original house!!!!!!!!
Blah blah shut up
John Denver wouldn't hang stuffed taxidermy animals on his walls. He was quite the animal activist.
Should have left it as it was, would have had more appeal to me. I’m sure the house was reflected in John’s songs. I would have left it as it was.
Ripped out and destroyed
John Denver's address, NOT his house.
Industrial, cold, and soulless. I knew JD, and I think he would be shocked at what they have done.

Truth!!!
What we own in this life is only a loan.
This guy sounds like a late night informercial
He is a realtor. They are all hustlers.

I agree I saw the original home and it was beautiful, craftsmanship unmatched and it screamed John Denver this is just another no feeling, cold house
So sad isnt it??
Was something wrong with the original home? Why did they replace it?
Once again proving that people with money have no taste.
Once again proving that people with money have no taste.
This is NOT John Denver's house. Stop the lying. John would never hang a deer's head on his wall. He loved all animals and nature.
He also didn't have this modern style. He wasn't the owner when this was remodeled.
It is no longer the same - amazing yes - but it is no longer John's home.
It was unique to him and much nicer when they lived in ut.
I guess money can buy a certain amount of joy, if not beauty.

I agree. It looks very antiseptic and cold.
Well said!
I don't think John would enjoy that dead animal head in his home he loved animals! This place sucks it will never sale
It does suck , but it was his home. A fan should buy it and restore it to how it was.
I would have bought that if I had had the money

This is really sad. So typical of today's real estate market. let's take a legendary house with beautiful woodwork and paint it black and white.
Who needs such a massively huge house?
It all the rich people built homes this big it would use up all the materials and labor so that no one else could afford anything ... oh, that explains a lot.
Love the real wood burning fireplaces!
Well done!
They ruind the original structure, very bad

Stop capitalizing on John's name. It's shameful what they did to this home.
Too bad they couldn't keep the "John Denver" feel in this house....modern now??? Yuck, come on now... what a shame 🙄
Yeah! Der Bunker hat was 👍
Verkaufen und spenden.
A sweet rocky mountain paradise.
Wonder what billionare owns it now?
really ruined the feel of his home. He would never go to "industrial" for the interior.
Crappy and cheap!
What a shame that the 'new' owners destroyed what JD had done. Doesn't look the same at all. It is lost.
This abomination was not what John built. I don't know thought he would have liked this, but I can tell he would hate it. I have been in the original house he and Annie shared, this is NOT it.
Yeah, nice job. You ruined what JD created as he designed the home. Yes, the outcome is unbelievable.
OK, they ruined that house.
natural beauty aint for the common man anymore. just the moneyed.
5,000 gallon gas tank still there?
