    I purchased the Logitech G915 TKL and immediately hated it. The keys were wobbly and the linear switches felt mushy. I took it back and got the DeathStalker V2 Pro TKL and it's amazing! The switches are hot-swappable with Keychron low profile switches, and I've fallen in love with the stock Razer Linear switches.

      Hey, I'm in the exact same boat. Tested all 3 versions of the g915, linear/tactile to mushy, clicky to loud and on top on all: the wobbly keycaps... 🤮 Would you say the deathstalker is that much better? Still searching for a Keyboard, but right now I'm unhappy with the Logitech...

      Ur so right. I have had my Logitech G915 linear for a year now. Great keyboard but it does wobble and the key caps get too slippery overtime. Since I have a razer mouse i was thinking about getting this TKL.

      Just picked up a “renewed” g915 TKL for 100 bucks …Turned up in mint condition and I absolutely love it. I used a 10 year old DAS keyboard before, but I find the lower profile of the Logitech far more comfortable. It’s true that the keys wobble when you shake the keyboard but just using it normally I’d never even notice it. Feels very solid and ergonomic.
      I think $200 would have been too much - but at $100, it’s a great buy imho.

      Have the G915 my own, and the wobbly keys almost were the reason not to buy it. But it doesnt bother me in any way, dont notice it either when gaming or programming. I absolutely love the G915, great feeling (linear Switches) and after a year, the keys still look great.

    any comment on the software bloatware performance? Can you run any of the features without installing software?

    • @vetreas366
      @vetreas366 Год назад +5

      Logitech's G-Hub is the worst piece of software I ever had the displeasure of using. It takes everything Logitech Gaming Software (the old soft used for Logitech's hardware) and does every single thing worse. Aside from the interface, I guess. It has a sleek, minimalistic, modern interface. It also tends to lock up on startup and require a restart sometimes. When? Usually it happens if the coin flipped by a small beggar child in the fifth poorest city of the seventh richest country on whichever continent has had a meteor strike recently falls and, guided by gravity, hits the ground and makes a sound that sounds halfway like a scream and half way like a resigned sigh. In other words, whenever the hell it wants to.
      I have the G915 non-TKL wireless version and G502 wireless. Love the hardware, software is atrocious. So many bugs that you keep encountering literal years after they were reported the first time... it's really bad. When it works it still lacking features LGS had years ago and when it doesn't...
      Without the software you can set up some basic on the onboard memory like basic lighting, DPI settings for the mouse profiles, some basic button assignments, that kinda stuff using a tool that Logitech offers. If you want full control of the device, it's G-Hub or bust which actually allows customization of lighting (rather than just basic pre-set lighting), more macro options, more button assignments etc. At least the thing I wanted the keyboard for, the volume wheel (I watch online videos that can randomly go from silent to screaming depending on the creator) works like a charm without any software installed! It's also wireless which I wanted for work and low-profile which I wanted for my pleasure so G-Hub only entered the picture when I had to actually start fighting it.
      Haven't used the Razer one so no idea there but I'd really advise trying out the keyboard with G-Hub installed if you have the option. I personally love the G915 but G-Hub really makes it hard to justify that to myself.

      You need to press it again, after it wakes up. But I heared if you double pair the keyboard to a razer mouse and it's dongle, it might be less of a problems. Currently don't have a razer mouse to test it myself though.

    I have the G915 TKL and I love it. The only issue I have with it is the fact that the secondary characters aren't lit up by the RGB, which is a big plus for the Deathstalker, but at 220 quid Razer are on crack. @@TheProvokedPrawnit definitely is a big issue on the Logitech keycaps and also the reason i switched now to this Razer keyboard in it's "none pro" cable version. Coming from Logitech G513 (got it replaced 4 times due to color wear off of the keycaps after 1-4 months each) and G815 (replaced 5 times with the same reasons), which I use for remote office and gaming. Never used any liquids or detergents for cleaning, just dedusting.
      After that Odyssey (I actually liked the typing on the linear G815 and the macro keys) I now hope this keyboard will last longer..
      If there will ever be a successor for the g915, I really wish they'll use better switches and PBT doubleshot keycaps.
