Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro Optical Wireless Keyboard Review - Ticks All The Right Boxes

- Long ago, there was the Razer Deathstalker, which offered a low-profile experience with chiclet style keys. Fast forward to 2022 and we finally get an update to that very series, with the Deathstalker V2 family.
We're talking low-profile, optical switches, wireless connectivity, ultra-durable ABS keycaps and more. After about 2 months with this very keyboard, we have to say that we're left impressed far more than we ever expected.
It's good. Really good.

Been using this keyboard bout a week now and had to make sure I wasn’t the only one who’s loved this keyboard. Was originally wanting a wooting 60he but it normally takes a month to ship. I figured why not get this with 2 day shipping and see how it goes and this keyboard is phenomenal. It won’t react as fast as the wooting, but it’s insanely fast with the 2.8 travel distance.
Got the TKL and i cant be more satisfied. Perfect for gaming or whatever.
Enjoyed the review format, keep up the good work.
Had this keyboard. I love it so much that I bought 2. One for office and one for home use. I think Razer really nailed it this time.
It’s really good!
What about the software?
Does it have on board memory to store the macro you set in Synapse so that the macro can be used on computers without Synapse installed? Thanks!
hey nice review. so is this about as quiet as the huntsman v2? also i think it would be cool if you reviewed the ornata v3 since it is low profile like this one and compared it to the ornata v2 just a thought.
Possibly even less as compared to the huntsman due to the shorter travel, but yeah! And definitely more of such reviews in the future.
@@Terafied so is the actuation force too low to where I can't rest my hands on the keys before pressing? I'm using a low profile asus membrane board that looks exactly like this so I think I'll end up getting this. This is linear but is there any feeling when pressing down the keys at all? I'm used to tactile feedback to let me know when a key has been actuated. But this one seems like it's for me.
For Those Who are Wondering about these Question , I have the Answer.
Q : Can you Replace the Keycaps?
A : YES and NO at the same time , Capslock were using different stabilizer , and the space bar doesn't seems to fit with the others.. The yes is , its technically fit since its using MX Stem , but some of the third party keycaps out there might get stuck on some keys , definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.
Q: Is the Switch HOT SWAPPABLE?
A : YES , but only with Low Profile Optical Switch like Keychron Low Profile , the switch can easily be pull straight out from the PCB.
Q: Is there any Dampener inside the Board?
A : YES , there's silicon dampener inside the Switch itself and Inside the Board
Q: can you take apart the PCB from the metal plate to remove the stabilizer?
A: NO .. Unfortunately the PCB stuck on the metal plate by a plastic locking , if you wanted to lube the stabilizer you have to use Syringe style Lube.
Best keyboard ever made TKL for life.
TKL ftw!
Hi,can I replace the keycaps to normal keycaps like the razer phantom keygaps (not low profile keycaps)?
No, as you will bottom out the keycap first before you bottom out the switch.
such a nice review!!
and a question of mine: are these switches hot swappable?
Unfortunately no.
@@Terafied maybe on the next iteration haha
thanks!!
@@Terafied They are actually and they are compatible with Keychron Low Profile
they are!
Hi, nice video. I'm new to optical keyboards. So I just want to know are these switches hot swappable?
Unfortunately no, they aren’t hotswappable.
@@Terafied thank you. 😊
@@Terafiedthey are hot swappable
They are
They are hot swappable with a few specific low profile optical switches
Nice review but one question remains unanswered😊 It's not even answer on the Razer website. Can it be used with Android and/or iPhone/Apple TV?
Yes, can use it with Android, iPhone, and Apple TV. Pair it via Bluetooth to navigate menus, search, or type within apps on your Apple TV.
Got the wired version 👍🏻
I like that the wired version has a detachable cable and only uses one USB port
I had the first Deathstalker with a LCD screen more than a decade ago and it wasn't a good experience. They have cheap chicklet keys and the LCD was also a disappointment - there is an obvious lag because of the sub-par framerate, what's the point of being able to play videos when it has a choppy framerate. I have the Logitech G915 wireless and it has decent keycaps although a little on the fragile side. It is super slim and super sleek and although it excels in the looks department it has a very thin and fragile feel to it. I prefer the Huntsman and Blackwidow series.
I got one for $188 new on EBay today!
hi and the purple switch ??? seriously the red one suck
200$ crap with abs keycaps, fold your company clowns XD
