      Well back in the early 2000's they would respect guys who stayed 3-4 years like they do in football but that changed around 2010ish

      Not the heart, but the talent. Scouts gave more favor on the height.

    Nba teams really watched fred play and didnt think he would make it in the league, thats insane. They should be embarrased. Teams value potential, athleticism and talent too much. He is a flat out winner and warrior. Ok maybe they didnt think he would become as good as he has but you can't watch his college tape without thinking he'd at least be a solid backup and good locker room guy. The fact that he went undrafted is ridiculous lol.

    • @bullettomy7thheart
      @bullettomy7thheart 3 года назад +4

      I get what you're saying and you're not wrong but height is also a major factor. I'm taller than then Fred. If he was 5 inches taller he would probably be a lottery pick. The same way that if Lamelo ball was 5 inches shorter he would likely go undrafted lol.

    I went to a rival HS in Fred's conference. Everybody knew he was incredibly talented but didn't expect him to make to the NBA because of his height. It's crazy to visualize how much better he has gotten through hard work. Well-deserved, so happy for him. 815

    When I think of the perfect backup pg/solid NBA starter, Fred VanVleet is the first that comes to mind. His greatest assets in my opinion is his IQ and patience, he is incredibly intelligent, knows his spot and can elevate any second unit or contribute in a starting lineup, one of my favorite players of the last two years.
