As a Husky fan and lifelong Duck-hater, I have to admit. Oregon had a really great team this year. Their only nemesis was the Huskies, and I think they'll win their bowl game. I hope Nix plays.
UW has been the target for EVERY team they played since the start of the season. They have taken everyone else's best and prevailed whether they were ranked or not, including Oregon at 8 and at 5. There is no reason to count them out of any game because they are so versatile on offense.
They play in the Pac-12... Do you realize that Michigan and Georgia would have run through Washington's schedule and won every game by double digits without being threatened? UW is in for a rude awakening in the CFP.
@@ryanamburgy2791 Penix is going to get knocked out of the game or benched for being ineffective. Michigan is an NFL team with a real pass rush and a classic Big Ten offense. You're in for a rude awakening.
It is only fitting that the last ever Pac 12 championship would be two great schools from the Great Northwest! My hats off to the Washington Huskies for playing like a true championship team and The Oregon Ducks for the fact they wanted to win this one that really counted the most . This really sucks for Oregon to lose twice to Washington by a total of 6 points in the same season.

Just re-watched Washington’s usc, osu, and pac 12 championship games. The huskies can make plays on defense and offense. Lots of heroes. It doesn’t matter if they’ve given up a big play or the lead, these guys are flat tough.
People fail to realize who they played on offense and at quarterback. If texas played cam ward , caleb williams ,Bo Nix (twice) and dj u would they be in the CFBP? I don't think so all while washington top safties have been hurt since week 2
At the timeout between the 3rd and 4th quarters-Penix rallied the entire team in a circle and barked at them when they were down 24-20-and they responded. That's leadership
17:33 Just an incredible game for Dillon Johnson, but the icing on the cake is here, when he bear-hugs the ball and slides to make sure he cannot fumble. I love a player who sacrifices individual glory for the sake of the team. Bravo, Dillon!!!
Yes! This is a very underrated point. He could’ve kept running, and maybe had an outside chance at scoring, but maybe just maybe a defender could’ve knocked the ball loose. He could’ve had some more yards on his stat sheet, but he knew he had the first down, and that’s all they needed. Team players like that help win championships!
I'm a southern guy who hardly ever watches Pac 12 football but these UW vs UO games might be the two most entertaining games I've watched all year. I'm not sure if either of these teams can hang with Georgia but these are two of the best college football teams in the country playing at a very high level. What a way to send the conference out in style.
I live deep in Duck Country, but was born in N. WA and my grandfather was a professor at Washington. Been rocking my old Huskies Starter jacket all week for my Dawgs!

Absolutely incredible game. Huskies and the Ducks have about the same rivalry that the Seahawks had with the niners from 2013 to 2016. So much talent on both teams. Even though the Huskies made a terrible coverage mistake at the end for the long Oregon TD, Oregon's Coach made an even bigger mistake. Why in the world would you ever do an onside kick with still well over 2 minutes left and all 3 timeouts. Im a huge Husky fan and I couldn't believe they went for an onside kick. You always put them back in their own territory especially knowing how bad our punter is. Giving UW a short field like that only creates more comfort for you offense. The ducks slow start, their defense couldn't rily stop Michael Penix. The offense not capitalizing on huge opportunities the defense gave them all, of this was big factors to the Ducks losing tonight. Congrats to Washington though, they came with energy and physicality, great game and performance overall!!!!
Oregon fans can't put all the blame on Lanning for this one. UW completely outplayed Oregon in all offensive categories - total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, first downs, time of possession, etc. The game wasn't as close as the score indicated.
@Gr8Stowe Agree. That speech against Colorado didn't age well. He beat an over-rated team and acted like he won the National Championship. Good grief. I'm glad Washington won, again.
Much as I am a husky fan and I’m really happy for the W it was sad to see Nix sitting there with his head down under a towel. That kid has nothing to hang his head about. He played a great game as well as his teammates.

Kids at 18 are defending our country overseas, and these whimps can’t get the towels off their head, quit pouting and look like adults during competition? Grow up young spoiled brats.
Agreed. He just didn't have it tonight, and even the OC play calls were a bit of a head scratcher. Ducks didn't really try going for deep routes very often. And wow what a game for Penix. all this talk of him being injured , he stepped up his game here, the whole Husky team did, especially their D.
If I were Bo I would be still sitting with a towel covering my head thinking almost non-stop of the absolute terrible decision made wasting first couple years in college playing for Auburn where apparently that offensive staff was clueless when it came to QB development. Nix definitely hit a home run and twice over when switching CFB programs trying to win a natty but much more importantly he went somewhere that sought to maximize ALL his athletic abilities resulting in what appears to be him likely being drafted much higher than anywhere he would've been considered (if AT ALL) had he not wisely chose to head out West to be a DUCK 🦆🦆!!!!
His interception with a chance to go up by double digits cost his team the game. He has everything to hang his head about. He lost the Heisman Trophy, the CFP, and an outside shot at a national championship (although we know that wasn't happening) in one night. It also cost him a lot of money in future sponsorships.
Kalen DeBoer is 24-2 with Washington, and its easy to forget that the team was adrift when he was hired after Lake was fired mid-season, what an awesome coach.

It is INSANELY hard to beat somebody twice in a single season. How many times in recent CFB history has that ever happened? I'd guess roughly a hand full. Congrats to Michael Pennix Jr who is now going head to head with Jayden Daniels for the Heisman.
Lol that's because they play defense in the NFL. Every other play in college is a busted coverage and maybe half the time the QB knows how to recognize and take advantage
Can’t believe everyone is just now realizing how good this team is, they can compete with any fbs team the offensive is so smooth and the defense gets consistent stops, wouldn’t be surprised to see them win it this year.
I’m a casual Bama fan and I’m watching the replay of the PAC 12 Championship game from last night and I’m pretty sure both Oregon and Washington could definitely beat Bama and Georgia, those are two good teams that play well on both lines of scrimmage. That has been the problem that has kept the PAC Conference from being nationally relevant is the weak line play but Washington and Oregon have good linemen. Whomever plays Washington in the first round is in for a struggle. That Huskies offensive staff will come up with an effective game plan I’m sure.
Slow down there....we saw how Washington did against Michigan. Them and Loud Mouth Lanning's Ducks aren't getting anywhere close to the top of the SEC.

Finally McMillan got the brace off and is healthy. Made a huge difference
My Colorado Buffs... take note of each team's effective O & D lines. Awesome game... congrats Washington!
I tell my friends , these guys play like pros , funner to watch than alot of nfl games!
Lol that's because they play defense in the NFL. Every other play in college is a busted coverage and maybe half the time the QB knows how to recognize and take advantage
100
The NFL has gotten VERY boring. I don't watch it anymore.
Can’t believe everyone is just now realizing how good this team is, they can compete with any fbs team the offensive is so smooth and the defense gets consistent stops, wouldn’t be surprised to see them win it this year.
They are good but will get smoked when they play against Georgia, Alabama, or Michigan.
Michigan, Alabama, specifically are underwhelming this year. Georgia maybe..
Good game from start to finish! Classic football being played! 🔥
I've lived in Oregon my whole life, and have always loved the beavers (even before graduating from OSU) despite their historical struggles as a football team. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing the ducks lose. Especially twice to the same team.
And for a loud mouth coach to get his mouth shut. Ole Dannyboy wasn't talking about clicks and likes much after this one.
Cinderella story. Im not even a fan(Vols) but what a story to be told. Super proud of this team. Oregon has no shame as they went out fighting. What a game!!!
I'd hate to be on the team that will play Oregon in their bowl game. Ohio State or FSU?
Hahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha GO LIBERTY 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂HILARIOUS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS
Can't wait to see #10 ranked oregon hang 90 points against new Hampshire tech in the Family dollar bowl
New Hampshire Tech!
That sounds like someone that Alabama would put on their schedule, to "pad" the W/L stats.
New Hampshire Tech🤔🤣🤣😂
Also “ Family Dollar bowl” lol
oregon ohio state
cheezit bowl
Won at Autzen, Husky Stadium, and Nuetral site. I think the argument of who the better team is has been put to bed regardless of venue.
Amen
Each time by 3 points!
Better coach too. A man of character and class, can't say the same about Dannyboy.
Go dawgs!!! Congrats from Germany 🇩🇪 we’re gonna win the big title this year!
Michigan Vs Washington at Rose. It will be the instant classic game.
I remember a game long ago when Washington played Michigan in the Rose Bowl back when Don James was coaching and Warren Moon was the passer/QB...lol!
Man this one stung. Huskies beat us around that first half big time. I guess this UW team is just 3 points better than us…. I’m happy this rivalry is back but man, they just felt like the more physical team this round. Now we gotta wait almost an entire year for the rematch. Good luck in the playoffs dawgs. I can’t say I’m gonna be pulling for you, gotta cheer on the bulldogs since they gave us our head coach, who I still completely believe in. I hope the fan base doesn’t feel discouraged over Lanning. Dude is bringing in amazing recruiting classes and our defense is better than I have seen it in years. GO DUCKS
Kirby said last year that "Lanning would be an elite coach someday, if he just learns when to take the f**king points!" Honesty yall shouldn't have lost in Seattle, but he didn't take points when they were available
Great win UW. I'm not from the PAC12 area or a fan of any of those teams. However I was absolutely one of those college fans that thought Oregon would beat you in a rematch. Congratulations on winning your conference and provings is nay Sayers wrong. Good luck in the CFP.
