The reason I keep listening to this band is because of the musicianship of each member. They all know exactly what needs to be done to make the song perfect.

Hi Millie, thanks for reacting to Band-Maid, my favorite band of all times. I was fortunate to see Band-Maid play From Now On live at Tokyo Garden Theater, they sounded just as good live as on the MV. They are amazing musicians all of them. Saiki the vocalist has her rest time during this amazing piece of instrumental music. Greetings from Norway.

Steve Vai is a big influence for Kanami. Also, on their 2022 US tour, there is a picture of her at the Guitar Center in LA with her hands in Steve Vai's handprints. Very cool! I hope hers will be there someday too!

The ladies have a number of instrumentals..for the exact reason you stated..To allow Saiki a breather...You should check them out..as they are awesome!....They also do instruemntals of their vocals songs which can be heard and seen on their CD's which come with a DVD bonus which contain some of the album tracks as just instrumentals.....My favourite being "Giovanni"...A great track with Saiki's amazing vocals...But as an instrumental you can hear all that is hidden under those vocals..and it is AWESOME!!!..

Until a year ago I would have told anyone that my favorite bands were Rush and Joy Division. But about a year ago I was starving to hear new music and searching RUclips for new sounds and stumbled across Band-Maid. I believe the video was "Thrill". I had doubts about a group of young girls in maid outfits (cheesecake clickbait?) but the video had 18 million views, so I figured something must be happening here and I gave it a try. I wasn't disappointed. Yes, the song lyrics were mostly in Japanese, but the two vocalists were so expressive, obviously NOT AUTOTUNED, and singing each word as though they meant it, that I realized that the song was about a topic the was IMPORTANT to them. ...and the rest of the band were playing as though the song was important, too!
The drummer was kick-ass throughout the song with sly change-ups in beat and clever little fills, the bass player was also nailing down the beat while supporting the melody, and when the bass play launched into a funky solo that introduced a blazing guitar solo, they had me wondering what the rest of their catalog might be like. When the video ended, one of the suggested videos was 'Day of the Maid; Manners, Blackhole' I watched it and I haven't stopped watching Band-Maid videos. They're now my favorite band. 'Onset' is another "Give Saiki a break" instrumentals that never fails to satisfy your senses.

@@glenkelley6799 Yes, around the holidays I started buying albums: Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, and Just Bring it. I also bought the Online Okyu-ji Feb. 11, 2021. Then I purchased the Tokyo Garden live stream and the TLRS LA Palladium concert just to watch the 5 song OA. I am now thinking about Band-Maid 'Singles'.
I am considering checking myself into a rehab center to stem this addiction!

Even in an instrumental which is actually guitar oriented, the drums and bass get enough opportunity to prove themselves. This is something that the ladies of Band-Maid will not be imitated by anyone in a hurry and that's also why they are for me at the top of the food chain when it comes to modern rock music. 🔥🤘🏻

I recently read that some people don't like Band Maid and Lovebites. I have three questions: (1) Has it been ascertained that these individuals ARE actually humans? (2) Why are they still among us? (3) Isn't it more likely that these individuals are among the Walking Dead?

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed live twice with this MV quality in Tokyo and dropped my jaw twice 😲. I believe so did many of American audience at 12 venues in the last October. This song has been normally played in the middle of the setlist to give Saiki, lead vocalist, some break. They played this song, however, as opening at three festivals (including Aftershock, Sacramento) and in Guns N' Roses concert in Japan as support to the legendary band. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who knew nothing about the girls in maid outfit on the stage. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" So you got a good start. Please salute these girls 😄

I think most people will say the same when they get into japanese rock and metal bands, they can't decide who they like more. On one hand you have a band like band maid who in my opinion are the cutest monsters of the japanese heavy rock scene. Then you get all the metal bands who are usually fighting it out for the top spot in the metal scene even though it would be hard to decide who is on top
