Omg another 30 days, oh the humanity. You do realize that most shows before streaming went on regular 4 months breaks a third of the way into the season😂 pretty sure most of them still do.
@@cl4-tpgaming After only 4 episodes when the episodes are already done. Before streaming it'd be 22 episode seasons with a break in the middle. You come back after a 2 year break with 4 episodes and then take off for 3 months right after that. They lost momentum

I feel like these companies don't understand how to market their shows in the digital space, the only way I know most of these shows are back on is by youtube recommendations. I like the show, but def will find it hard to justify paying extra just for 4 episodes before a season break

I dunno about 'killed' but they sure as heck did nothing to help it with this huge gap in the middle. Streaming series are the worst, people just don't wanna watch half of them until they're finished, so we either get A COMPLETE STORY or just not having to wait years between things,
so the weird thing is Amazon allows account sharing you can pick up to so many people you can just share your streaming account with.

I canceled my prime sub as soon as the email came out. I have had RUclips premium since it was launched and I haven't had to watch an ad on my choice of streaming platforms in years. I may be in the minority, but it wasn't worth it for me to pay more just to not have ads.
So I read Invincible and loved it, and I’m guessing he’s trying to avoid spoilers for people, but I’ve heard Sal talk about there being a particular point he dropped the book, and I’m just so curious what part got him to feel that way

I think it is either "Sometimes" moment or reason for Reboot arc. As at that point in the story there's no attempt of making Mark this selfish hero show tries to potray him, no, instead he is shown what comic hinted a little bit, but then coming back to: Mark was never a good person, but tried to play a role of hero for own sense of fulfilment.
Probably the Anissa moment with mark and the “reboot” stuff that led to mark finding out eve had a miscarriage. I don’t like those moments much in the book but I feel the chances of them changing both are pretty likely
@@tjclark6928I think both of them serve a purpose but they’re not meant to be comfortable even through it’s brutality ppl can go man that fight was cool but if the anissa moment it kinda makes sense given vultrimite culture but it’s not the most comfortable and some ppl might just hate it cause it’s not comfortable. The reboot was an decent thing for marks development and showing who he is and how he’s not perfect but he tries and the miscarriage thing is not that bad I don’t think
@@tjclark6928 show is so weak for not leaning hard on Mark being a douche, as one of the best things by the end of Invincible is acknowledgment of Mark's hypocrisy and subverting "heart of gold" trope by showing that he doesn't have it.

I was so F’n mad when I was watching my stories on Amazon Prime and then it abruptly stops the episode and then suddenly COMMERCIALS take over my screen!!! WTF?! This is some B.S. corporate money grubbing, and every industry is pushing the envelope with just how much profit they can squeeze out of every product and consumer down to the last literal penny.
With how streaming is developing and evolving I feel like I’m watching the birth/rebirth of CABLE TELEVISION cable television again. Fist commercials happen on every streaming service to offset costs for each “channel” then they bundle streaming services together to all make more money plus they keep the commercials (maybe more and more as time goes on?) and then boom we’re back to basic cable and package prices!
That’s a shame I barely remembered and enjoyed it but can’t wait for more, really enjoying it
Idk I have an app called TV time so it reminded me when my shows get new eps so I don't really miss shows thank god. Invincible is really good and interesting so as long as it keeps it quality I'll keep watching

Yeah they killed the show for me. Waiting 2.5 years between season 1 and 2 for it to not be immensely better animation-wise, less episodes, season getting split, and have that break be a few months long while giving bs reasons why (there's no way it's needed for an 8 ep season after 2.5 years) did it. It'd be a lot more understandable if it was the quality of the Atom Eve Special, but it isn't lmao
I'll maybe watch it on Prime Video after it's done, but in the meantime I'll find a way to watch it week-to-week without them getting my view. I refuse to be strung along by a company that's in the top 20 most profitable in the world, holding art/media I like hostage to make me stay and beg. We still have the comics which means the story is still preserved, so I wouldn't be as bothered if the show dies for THIS reason specifically.
It sucks because I enjoyed season 1 so much and it introduced me to Robert Kirkman's other famous comic, Invincible, but at this rate the time between the finale of season 1 and the finale of season 2 will be just a few weeks shy of 3 years, taking 5 months to release 8 episodes. Entirely too much to adapt a story that's already done to another medium, and with animation that ranges from subpar to decent, with the occasional scene that actually looks good.
Can you tell this upset me quite a bit at the time (and reopening that can of worms now)? 😂

@cl4-tpgaming a couple of things, I'm not watching all the content surrounding the show, I've only watched this specific video that has a discussion about how Amazon might be hurting the show with how they've handled the show with absolutely no mention of any of the actual content of season 2 and chimed in myself.
Second, I still like the show itself quite a bit, I'm not invested in the sense that it being cancelled due to Amazon's mishandling and greed would not bother me. I thought I made that clear, and I'm unsure if you're mistaking my passion for the IP (gross way of talking about art but dunno what other word to use) of Invincible and criticisms as just hate or whatever, but me not absolutely glazing Amazon for bestowing an Invincible show to us from their place in the heavens is not me hating on the show itself or me thinking it's beneath me or something.
Lastly, by "killed the show for me" I don't mean that I hate the show, that it's a bad show, or that I absolutely won't watch it. Again, I really like the show itself. It's that they killed my hype for the show and I will no longer be waiting with baited breath for Amazon and excusing their shitty greedy decisions. Oh and that I'll be looking for ways to watch the show that benefit them the least lmao

I like the show and love the comic. But how cheap this show is with animation frustrates me. In S1 the outside view of the school is from a 3D program named sketch up. And there was so little visually engaging in the premier of S2 that I noticed marks costume gets absorbed by his crotch (there’s a crotch outline check it out)
I’m not saying they should burn out animators. They should give them more time and not even ANNOUNCE anything until the animation is up to par.
You’re dumb, the animation is fine, way stepped up in season 2 due to an increase in budget. Do you want them to spend millions of dollars in animation and just fire all the actors, the port of the show that actually matters, at the end of the day anyone with half a brain can do VFX.
I'm about off. I've been waiting for all of season 2 before I watch. And I'm not hearing much great about it. I'm not pay more for something that has taken 3 years to finish and is simply good.

I cannot believe how badly this break ruined alot of the Hype for season 2 of Invincible.
Legitimately one of the best Superhero projects to come out in the 2020s and if anything people were willing to accept the Long Wait for season 2 because they said the wait time between the later seasons wouldnt be as long as the wait between season 1 and 2.
Episode 5 of season 2 is the most watched episode of the series on release to date. So the break didn’t affect that much it seems😂 seems like it had very much the desired effect of “I have to see what’s next”

How they adapt Mark's sociopathy growing tho? Like, there's this cringy 'dark music as he gets edgy moments" but comic literally had him ghost friend for months and having casual jerk moments most of the book, even scene with Nolan explaining his origin there's a moment of how Mark has this pause of thought and even then Mark's turn for worse doesn't sit well with people, so how they even other half of the comic when Mark's inner nature as selfish scumbag is a pretty big part of it?
Also, Omnimon is a real Digimon, which is funny.
Invincble, despite people saying that all the time in between season 1 and 2 was gonna kill the show, and that the break mid way into season 2 would kill the show, as soon as it drops the entire internet halts to praise and or criticize it, AND it’s one of the most watched streaming shows of all time, continually getting more and more viewers.
Kirkman himself said it lead to a record number of comic sales for all his work. They didn’t kill shit because they pay people way more money than we could imagine to make that decision…. And it’s working😂

Invincible is coming, like legitimately, 4 months is an actual standard break for television shows, 2-3 years is the standard release for streaming shows for over a decade now. Y’all are crazy if you think this will have any negative impact on the show or Amazon.
I agree but I hadn't watched Prime since the end of the first part and was shocked by the sydden appearance of adds. I pay for Prime annually so I thought this ad business didn't apply to me. I have been Prime member since the days when it only covered shipping costs for your textbooks. Sadly, I won't cancel Prime but I was taken back by the ads. Why would a company as profitable as Amazon even need to do this? I am happy to see someone else vent my frustrations about these ads. My concern now is how many other streamers are going go right back to the TV model.
I hope it does, because I hate the show with passion and it would be funny as hell if the show which designed itself to be this disingenuous corpo creation for maximal hype, like Sherlock show, gets screwed by corpo bs, but at the same time, it mostly screams entitlement and stupidity of Invincible fanbase which doesn't seem to understand how hype cycles work and that when it does poorly animated fight scene with Conquest drop, people will be back, because it doesn't have that much competition and something like Pantheon seems to be too obscure for some reason.

@@mero7731 because comic for all its flaws had this spirit and spark that is quite unique to it and what it says about teenage superheroes ideals, how in the end they are hollow and performative, I find quite bold. And then I see the show, where it is designed to undermine any unique thing and that rebelious spirit the comic had, the genuine wit and ability to say a lot of with less being replaced with cringe as hell soap opera which exists to drive up hype and which comic itself had ability to avoid a lot and actually build contrast of it's dark apathetic parody and it's heart earning for empathy. I despise it not because Invincible was my favorite comic, but because it represents disintegration of meaning of original text, which is all to common with adaptations.
@@mikhaelgribkov4117 but all those aspects are present in where the story is now. I am mean the amber stuff and genuine teen drama happened in the comics too. I feel the show is making a bigger effort to outline the darkness and futility of being a hero way earlier.

@@mero7731 but that's the think: the futility of Mark being hero is him at his core being a hard head who performs to everyone his "heroism" while being this bubbling idiot who got ahead due to natural talent. Ever since dad told him the truth his head was going "wouldn't it be better to chose his side". The entire character arc is realization of how close he is to evil Marks, a thing show does poorly. Amber always a teen drama, but it avoided "you didn't tell me?" trope like a worthless shit it is and gone stright for how Mark pretty much ghosts people over time and had Eve being somewhat stalkish and to the side. Making Mark pathetic before his dad fight is such idiotic choice, as literally the best panel is him seeing himself bleed for the first time. This is basic storytelling and comic does wonders with that.
Stop being babies try being a venture bros fan wait 2/3 years between seasons.
