Mark didn't get a single break that season my man's was in conflict after conflict
glad Dan brought up the confusion with how durable these characters are - Kate surviving made sense, and from everything Hassan's alluded to with Rex I can imagine there's more to him that made him able to live a bullet in the head, but it threw me that Shrinking Rae survived. Really hope we get a Rex special soon, he's become so much more likeable a character this season and I'm starting to wnoder about his backstory now

I did like the Mark and Amber moments this season but I do think I like the idea that Mark and Amber fall apart on their own better thematically because it pushes the narrative that Mark isn’t this boy Scott he tries to be and makes bad and selfish decisions especially when it comes to love and so does Amber and Eve and everyone else. You get to see how these people aren’t always gonna be who you or they want them to be

I finished the season the story was always just fine to me but the fake out deaths really make me not care to keep watching. Hassan as a comic reader his explanation didnt make me feel like it would be worth hopping on the hype for season 3
Yeah the break sucked but it was still great show I’m guessing will get another special before s3 I’m guessing Rex’s origin..
The series has standard TV-length episodes, but its pacing is still terrible. The animation is poor, but I suppose it's acceptable. Young Justice did a far better job. Blue Beetle, in many ways, is the superior Mark Grayson.

What's funny Is Young Justice s4 did the animation short cuts way more than Invincible. The Mars arc literally has them communicate telepathically to avoid animating the mouths plus the thing where they just show a lot of still frames
