And the reason Madame Web is bad , is because they don't care , even if they " scream so loud and so persistent " that they care , they just don't , I think/ believe that they lied so much to themselves that they really think that the movies are good and the public are just haters who don't understand their movie .Now let's watch the greatest podcast about experiments and comics 😅 .

Pretty sure Sony Pictures has no idea what characters they have outside of Peter Parker Spider-Man, and if anyone at that studio had half a brain cell they'd pause the chase scene in ATSV and start asking "okay, who's that?"

I'm assuming Marve has more creative control over Spider-man now that their Spider-man movies are successful, otherwise I can't imagine why Sony would keep needing to change course from these movies including him

I agree i feel the success of mcu is the genre dipping and they trip on themselves by making them end in a big cgi super fight. As to sony they hve at most 5 characters they could/should make movies about, spidey, black cat, cardiac, venom, silver sable and maybe jackpot making the villains the focus isn’t going to net joker success venom and spidey are the franchise makes black cat could maybe do a trillogy or twofer the rest are one offs but can be used in the other films and you have them come together in a maximum carnage or spider island cross over

I think Sony should cut some deal marvel to get rights to most of the 2099 characters and build that universe
My new theory is that Morbius, Madame Web, et. al, are actually part of some hardball Sony/Disney negotiation strategy. Without them, the Spiderman rights are worth $X (primarily the value of Spiderman), but now the rights are worth $X+$Y where Y is the value of eliminating these ongoing reputational hits.
Especially because Disney doesn't really have much incentive to repurchase Spiderman since they still own the merchandise rights.
That is not how that works. If anything Sony is destroying the brand.

If you watched the 90s cartoon, you know who Madame Webb is. But unlike with DC animation who at least made a bunch of decent movies since then, showing most characters… there’s been nothing (mainstream. Cartoon, show, or movie) with Madame Webb since, as far as I know. So basically, if you’re like 30, you probably know, but 40+ or 20-? Nope.
GIVE THE SPIDER-MAN RIGHTS BACK TO MARVEL
Ok clone saga pitch: Peter Parker was cloned at birth, the parkers got the Tom Holland Spider-Man while hydra got one and raised him as an assassin and After no way home and Dr stranges spell erased all info on peter Parker from the world the assassin one has to track down Spider-Man and they have to team up to deal with some world ending threat together
as I know actors read script before agreeing to take the role 😐

I remember when it was asked if Sony would put Spider-Man allies in the spider man movies, and the head of Sony at the time was like “all we got is spider man”
Honestly I think that’s one thing that failed regarding the Spider-Man movies. They should have added allies by the third movie… maybe the second. Otherwise the movies just become redundant stories like the first three
As for madame web. It was alright. I liked it.
Best part was the scene where she tries to climb a wall only to slide down and was like “we won’t mention that to anyone “
