What if they give peacemaker the psycho pirate storyline where he remembers the old universe but because he's a conspiracy theorist everyone just thinks he's crazy.

James Gunn liked a comment saying "If the Justice League scene never happened then Season one would be conon". So i think its all what we assumed but Gunn is just saying it in a confusing way. Basicslly i think this 'new' Peacemaker will have gone through all the same things as the DCEU version did bar the JL scene
I don’t understand why they just don’t simply edit Peacemaker season 1 and The Suicide Squad. Just cut that scene out or promise to reshoot it later with the new Suicide Squad. They can simply fix the canon

N Peacemakers Batman Not A Killer N Only Need Just Out The Last JL Cameos Out of Canon.
I mean, all they have to do is edit out the Justice League and any references to them in Season 1 and also include The Suicide Squad by declaring it a reboot of the 2016 film, and just doing any needed edits with that film as well to separate it from the DCEU. But to be serious, they shouldn't cherry picking anything, just do a full-on reboot. They did it with Spider-Man and Batman plenty of times.
i don’t think it’s that deep or confusing. Peacemaker Season 1 is not canon, but we can start Peacemaker Season 2 with a general understanding of who the characters are and Peacemaker’s origins. similar to how Blue Beetle will be included in DCU. i doubt we get a full repeat pilot of Peacemaker joining forces with Waller to start Season 2, instead some brief general mention of some events from early Season 1 and we move forward from there
But... was Peacemaker Canon in the DCEU? because there are a lot of references that don't make sense lol like they saying Batman doesn't kill or Batmite
But it doesn’t make sense since the Justice league actually appear in peacemaker too
Just cause we didn't see batmite doesn't mean he wasn't in that universe and the Batman thing is probably a joke on how fans always argue if Batman should kill or not
The two ways I think it's going to go is either
A. Waller and Peacemaker pull a Rick and Morty jump to a new universe and replace their counterparts (which would be hilarious)
Or
B. Something resets The universe and potentially only Peacemaker and Waller remember and part of the DCU mystery is what reset the universe
Imagine peacemaker being the only one that remembers the old universe kind of like psycho pirate 😂
It’s not that complicated or serious. Peacemaker season 1 happened, just things that connect to the DCEU (Justice League cameo and certain deaths from TSS) didn’t occur that way.

i just want to bring to your attention about the peace maker in the new mortal kombat and my theory, that our peace maker from season one is that. As he references the events of suicide squad and peace maker season one and probably season 2 peacemaker is an Alternate universe
In it he literally talks like he is fine with staying there forever. so it could be like james is trying to give our peacemaker an ending of sorts

I doubt it. They have not been the biggest fans of Tomorrowverse. And half of it probably will be how it's not comic accurate. Although, they might review part 3 because of the animated series Batman appearances there.

At this point I don't care what is canon and what isn't any more. Good stuff is good, I'm only bothered by quality and Peacemaker season 1 was top tier quality entertainment. That is all that matters. So much so I am still stoked to hear news of season 2 progressing.

It feels like Warner bros fucked Gunn with how confusing it is to determine where dceu stops and his dcu starts. They should have scrapped flash and aquaman 2 so he has a clean slate, as well as not let him use dceu people in PM season 1 cause this is a dumb decision in my opinion
They can use the crisis animated movies on the reboot of the universe, they could also make peacemaker the only one who knows about the reboot

But it just probably won't reference season 1, or it will allude to certain things from season 1 that happened but not exactly the same. Tbh, if they didn't show the justice League at the end of reference Suicide Squad season 1 could still be entirely canon

Edit: for Blue beetle I just figured they just bring him over and that's it some people are making it more complicated, this kind of just feels complicated yeah they could just make a new show and not reference anything but this phrases and everything just feels weird
honestly the MCU should start taking notes from Agents of SHIELD. i get people still don't care for that show but the writing in most season is like objectively better then all the D+ shows lmao. i'm bias because it's my fav comic book tv show but it's a reason why it's the longest Marvel show and that show still has a strong fanbase 4 years after it ended.

Black Lion's channel had a theory that basically season 2 could involve a jump of DCEU peacemaker to the DCU because of the Flash events and he has to confront the DCU version of himself but becomes the main one. Could work
I think Peacemaker will be the DCU’s Psycho Pirate. I think he will be the only one to remember that continuity has changed, but since he’s already a conspiracy theorist, people will just ignore him.

I think it would be harder to keep season 1 cannon like how are they going to explain the whole jl scene, the butterfly invasion the whole ousting of Amanda waller etc. Just start fresh in this new one setup by superman movie and basically have peacemaker as our ride along character for to explore the new dcu. Doesn't take much explaining I'm sure any and all explaining to mainstream audiences would be In The superman movie

As someone who watched peacemaker season 1 it makes sense it aint canon since the old justice league was in it and it happended after a crisis and both flashes rebooted their universes.
Im fine if they make it so peacemaker is just investigating the universe hes in because it aint his and realises he has to bring peace to this new universe and uncovers a plot
Nope Marvel has showed what incursions are and have touched on it but again they just touched on it. In the Infinity Saga every other if not every project reminded you of the looming threat. Now they’ll have 1 project mentioning it then have 5 projects (exaggeration) without even mentioning multiverse, Kang, or Incursions so it just loses its treat level
When I mean why should I invest my time into anything that's not going to matter. Cannon and lore matter to a fan.

I'm always hesitant to take "non-canon" at face value in situations like this. Is it actually "not canon" or is it just a headline to get buzz? I could see this being more of a pivot than out right "not canon."
My excitement for the new DCU has continuously gone down since the initial announcement. Nothing has been cleared up and it just feels like we're doing the same thing as the original DCEU. I'd rather have the original Zack Snyder JL back and i hated most of the DCEU stuff.
Why would you rathwr have snyder back lmao? Its been year's since his last movie and the entire continuity is a mess, plus all the actors have aged out of it
Oh and as far as DC's live action shows go, Swamp Think was king. It was gorgeous, interesting and gripping start to premature finish. Doom Patrol I loved unashamedly, but Swampy was just factually 'better'
What about the animated Dc fans, the animated universe are messed up always rebooting it ever 5-6 years

i think people are way overthinking it, it's a Suicide Squad (2016) and The Suicide Squad (2021) situation where we kind of ignore the first movie like it didn't really happen but it's still meant to technically be a direct continuation
also pretty sure all the character development and the main events are canon aside for the Justice League scene and things that directly connect to or mention the DCEU
it's also why Blue Beetle managed to survive the reset, despite his movie being in the DCEU

Jimmy boy's a mofo hack. He absolutely doesn't understand or care about DC. All he cares about his own works. His "universe," which he stupidly named after the main comic book universe for no reason just like how he stupidly retitled his movie the same as the '78 movie, is basically a Gunn show, that's it. As a DC head, he should've canceled PM season 2 but he didn't. He lies all the time. Not only does he retitle the movie, he also has Eve Teschmacher and Otis, who are original Donnerverse characters and not based on any existing comic book characters. Is he just remaking Superman '78?
