Not yet but he is fixing to become that guy. The same people who love him now will be the same who turn on him as soon as he reveals he is human. They did it to Jimmy , Trey, Kyle , and they will do it to Purdy also. On a different note I want to see how Purdy finishes out the rest of the year before i form a accurate opinion on what I believe will be the correct option . We might not all agree but one thing we can’t do is Judge any player off 2 1/2 games , with that said he does look the part thus far .
I would like to add a little to this story as a teammate of his in high school: he didn’t get any college offers after high school until Alabama offered him a walk on offer which led to multiple schools offering him which led to bama upping it to a full ride. Currently so proud
Don't understand why Saban would basically say Purdy was average at best when they offered him a full ride. Just doesn't add up. What context are we missing here?
If Brock Purdy wins the Super Bowl for the 49ers there will be a movie about him in the future. This guy has defied all the odds and is resilient. Thank you War Room for putting this together.
They lucked into Purdy. This is the organization that drafted Solomon Thomas and Trey Lance, both third overall. Beathard... When they drafted Purdy they were admitting they still knew nothing about drafting a QB at all. They just hoped they'd get a camp arm. The entire NFL missed on Tom Brady. Montana was a third rounder. Even Steve Young had to play in Canada before getting a real job... NFL scouts have always been deeply stupid it seems... They decided to blow a 7th rounder on a camp arm while still hoping that Trey Lance somehow wasn't a complete bust.
I’m an old guy (66 years of age). I fondly remember when an another old guy (also 66) started out his NFL career back in 1979. His name is Joe Montana. I think most of you have heard of him. But what you might not know is that his main strength as a QB was his ability to be cool and calm while he lead his team (primarily the 49ers). I see the exact same presence with Brock Purdy. I pray he stays healthy. He is in my opinion the second coming of Joe Montana.
People say he has a low ceiling. They said that about Joe Montana too. Being a QB is 75% mental. Add in a quick release, accuracy and boom! there is Brock Purdy.
Great video. This is the mini-movie that this moment deserves. Hopefully he has a long, legendary career and gets a feature length film about his story years from now… after an eventual MVP award, record statistics, and 4 Super Bowl wins (being hopeful, but realistic with my number there 😂).
You forgot to mention that he wears 13 because he and his dad are big Dan Marino fans. And who was at the stadium to watch the Dolphins v Niners game? Marino himself.
As a Florida native 49er fan since the age of 6 I’ve seen the massive highs and the lowest of lows. Never strayed! I love this story that’s unfolding. This is the type of story that all young players should know about. That anything is possible if you stay focused and keep fighting for what you love. 9ers forever baby! Whooooooo!
Me being a Iowa state super fan along with my family I’m so happy for him and I love him. I wasn’t ever a 49s fan but now I am because of him. And yes I’m from Iowa and live there
This so-called "Mr. Irrelevant" is destin for greatness! The future is very bright for you. Keep up the good work Brock and lead the 49ers to that much awaited 6th SB title.
Yup the 49ers should be 7-0 in the Superbowl's. But with the 49ers winning the last 2 games and if the Eagles lose the last 2. Then potential number 1 seed for the 49ers. Still waiting for Purdy to go over 350 yards with 4 TDs.
Talk about starting from the bottom. It's an incredible journey for him if they can keep going all the way to the SB. America loves a success story in sports as this, against all odds and shinning at every opportunity given.
This inspirational NFL underdog story never gets the shine it deserves . Jim Plunkett's Parents were blind . They married and he was born .Then he Is the Number One Overall Pick . He gets destroyed in NE , and burns out . He joins his Hometown SF 49ers , and is a Bust . He then Joins the East Bay Oakland Raiders as a Backup . From 1980 - 1984 He has to scratch and claw for the Starter Job for 4 years all the while winning 2 SBs as a Backup in those 5 Seasons mostly .
Man, that was so enjoyable to watch. You Sir, did your homework, know what people want to know/learn, and did an exceptional job putting it together. Great 10:01. Thank you.
So something that caught my attention recently was Brock Purdy was asked about why his Junior and senior years weren't nearly as good as his Sophomore year. His answer sticks out because I got the impression that he actually learned how to win. Nearly all draft prospects don't seem to have a solid grasp on that. A lot of them go to big programs, put up monster numbers and get drafted and all they've learned is how to put up stats. This is why you see a guy like Cam Newton who could nuke the league in his early years but once defenses catch up to him he was not the same guy.
@@chiliconkyle He talked about how he was putting so much on himself that he didn't realize he didn't feel like he was a part of the team and that he was no longer having fun.
Cam started to get injured and lost his athletic edge. Teams never caught up to him in the sense of figuring him out. Cam just got old and beat up, plus he played right before the league became flag football
I'm reminded of the story of Ole Anderson telling Mark Calaway aka "The Undertaker" that he would never amount to anything and nobody would ever pay to see him wrestle. 40 years later he retired as the GOAT wrestler and is headed to the HOF. I hope BCB turns to the camera as he hoists his Lombardi and says "hey Saban.....thanks!"
Just watching today, the day after the first playoff game vs Seattle. He won again. I didn't know anything of his earlier doings. This video is almost making me cry with happiness. It's real. Someone pinch me....
I call it the probable rise. When we drafted him I researched his career and Brock did two things consistently, enter a competitive situation and quickly become the teams long term starter. He’s smart, confident and doesn’t take football too seriously. He trusts in Gods plan making pressure/fear completely foreign to him. He executes the coaches game plan with 100% faith and no agenda for personal success. He’s the perfect quarterback for Kyle Shanahan. I was so excited when he first came in I must have sent 50 messages out to friends like “This is it!!” 😂😂.
I watched Purdy getting drafted live and then saw one of his video interviews in which he was expressing his gratitude after being drafted. He looked so calm and poised in that interview even after being the so called "Mr Irrelevant" , it made me think he might play a role for 49ers and maybe write some storybook script. I never thought my hunch will come true. Champions are defined less by their 'skills' and more by their 'character'. I definitely see a character in Purdy even if he is far lesser in skills than his NFL counterparts. I strongly feel he is destined for greatness. Only future will tell :)
As an Cyclone fan, I really hoped this would happen. We've seen his mobility, accuracy, and everything else for a quarterback for the last 4 years. It was truly a blessing having Purdy and Breece Hall on the same team.
Nobody saw this coming, unless they watched Purdy at Iowa State, where he piled up 12,170 yards and 81 TDs as a 4-year starter. The skill was never in question, scouts were just leery of his size and not sold on his arm. But he definitely knows how to play QB.
It appears Purdy has much more real play time experience than most of the young QB, that helped him, and stand out. No sure he will become a star QB, but he is a solid QB in the NFL.
Way to go, Mr. Irrelevant! You sure showed all of them (and us) what you're made of. Stay healthy, man, and bring home the Stupor Bowl ring your first year! You are now MR. RELEVANT! We love ya.
I would like to concur with the pervious poster referencing the "Joe Montana" era. He was a brilliant play maker and his ability to shift on the fly and turn a loss into 9+ yards upfield was epic. Brock is showing those kind of skill sets.
I'm new to this channel, and I'm surprised this is the longest video you've done thus far. This was a really great mini doc. Not an SF fan in many ways. But I have to support my local guys, the dogs and especially his story. I’ll be ecstatic if he performs in the post season and I will be watching. Maybe he gets to play a Super Bowl in front of home town fans. Supper happy for this kid and thanks for the coverage of him.
what a line: "What's happening right now is something we've never seen before and probably won't ever see again. Brock Purdy is the underdog of all underdogs: he is America's quarterback. He is Mr. Revelant."
This was my first time visiting and I will be here every week from now on. I have been searching for footage on Brook for 3 weeks now.. I am about to BLAST THIS!!

I was BPs (that was his nickname because he could always put some gas on the ball!) Pop Warner coach. He was always the hardest worker on our team and on the field. He asked me if he had a chance. I told him he was gonna be in the NFL one day. I'm so proud of that boy!
He was the best qb in preseason… of course some people expected him to be the best qb on the roster. When JG returned, it was easier to go with him after Trey went down.
Shocking that the War Room would mention Anybody who didn't have a New England(or especially NY) connection. Kudos however, for mentioning Purdy's AZ high school & Iowa St background(I'm not part of either area).
49er Faithful here and have to say I was worried when Jimmy went down. I hadn’t followed Brock. After a few games it was obvious. What great poise and performances week after week. So stoked to see him take this team all the way. Oh and btw Great video!

Brock deserves this and very happy for him!
I haven’t been this excited about a niners player in a long time. Not because we haven’t had good players but because someone picked 6th round isn’t supposed to be this good and he gives me young play vibes, and prior grudge and draft respect as Brady
Thank you for this video. I appreciate all the effort and knowledge put into it and even though I'm not a 49ers fan, it was definitely informational and entertaining enough to enjoy all the way through. Thank you
It’s a 3 game sample. But it gets no better for a rookie. You never know where or when those special players emerge. But this kid seems like one of them.
Thanks. This is a great story or at least the greatest quarterback story ever. I like Purdy and you made his experience come alive. Me like 'em Brock and Garoppolo as #2 next year after Brock wins his first Super Bowl this year.
How many touchdowns in high school? Over a hundred in short seasons? In college over a hundred in shorter seasons? He has over 200 already? Dudes a stud. You see his ability to get the touchdowns compared to other quarterbacks in the league. I think Steve young . He does all the good stuff.
This channel is super underrated and should have more subs. I’ve been bingeing all ya vids and this vid is awesome. I definitely didn’t tear up when they showed his dad in the stands cryin being a father myself 😂
9 months after this video released, Brock went undefeated through the rest of the 2022 season and playoffs, leading the 49ers to the NFC Champ game, where he was injured, resulting in a loss to the Eagles. Now in 2023, Brock has led the 49ers to a 3-0 start, putting up 30 points in each game. This story is continuing to be the best underdog story I've ever witnessed, and the 49ers are already looking the best they've looked in basically my whole life, now with Brock leading the offense.
The Joe Montana comparison is not far fetch; cool under pressure, similar height and weight, average arm strength but accurate, and throws a very catchable ball. He has a long way to go, but it's hard not to notice the similarities.
As a 49rs fan, I just wanna thank u for this and will say that if he wins the sb there will be some sorta movie or something about him defying all of the odds
Called this. Called it waaaay before the first QB was injured. He plays QB with nothing to lose and has a ton of verifiable experience at playing QB, not just running around waiting for Christian Watson to stretch a defense wide open for everyone
Mad respect purdy!!! Remember playing against you and you tore our defense up !! Crazy part ima die hard niner fan!!! man az babbbyy! Niners to the superbowl !!!🟡🔴🟡🔴🟡🔴
Is Brock Purdy the future of the 49ers⁉️
I don't know, but as of now, he's looking better than both Garoppolo and Lance. I hope he continues to improve and become the next 49ers franchise QB.

this kid got destiny on his side. you don't bench a guy like that.
Seizing the opportunity
Reminds me of tua freshmen year 🎉
He was a three star recruit in Arizona. It’s just when you’re not prototypical size everyone thinks of you as an underdog.
And he won a New Years Six Bowl in Arizona at Iowa State.
This year's Super Bowl.....is in the same stadium.
If Brock Purdy wins the Super Bowl for the 49ers there will be a movie about him in the future. This guy has defied all the odds and is resilient. Thank you War Room for putting this together.

Don't forget to update this as the season continues to unfold! Well done.
Brock Purdy is my newest Great American. Even before I saw you video. Now he's my "favortist" human. I loved your video!
Very well presented vid. When he wins a Ring, I expect to see the Full Movie Documentary. You're a good narrator too. BCB MVP
As a 49rs fan, I just wanna thank u for this and will say that if he wins the sb there will be some sorta movie or something about him defying all of the odds
Called this. Called it waaaay before the first QB was injured. He plays QB with nothing to lose and has a ton of verifiable experience at playing QB, not just running around waiting for Christian Watson to stretch a defense wide open for everyone
he even made it to ABC National News...inside the numbers.....amazing..... 🤩
Great video, lots of good information. Longest video you've ever made. Thank you so much for the awesome content. Merry Christmas!🎄
I hope he stays healthy, it sucks as a 49ers fan to have some come up to you and say your quarterback got hurt every other week
Wow great video about a never give up person in Brock Purdy...
He played really good during the preseason games. I was telling my buddy then, that 49ers had 3 starting qbs and I’m a Saints fan
His story is so wholseome froma mr.Irelavent to a playoff qb
Mad respect purdy!!! Remember playing against you and you tore our defense up !! Crazy part ima die hard niner fan!!! man az babbbyy! Niners to the superbowl !!!🟡🔴🟡🔴🟡🔴
Very well told story! You deserve a lot more subs than the present number.
I’m impressed with this young man. If he doesn’t lose a regular season game he will be offensive rookie of the year for sure.
i like the background music, where can i find it?
Alright you're still right in the story man it's not over yet
Great video thanks!
