What happens with DOUBLE Layering Puddles? WOW! 💙 Abstract Acrylic Painting

- I love revisiting some of my favorite techniques and creating NEW pieces of art - and this one is a double puddle pour. wow! I just love how those silver tones really help the blues to shimmer and pop.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Puddle Pour
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with Owatrol Floetrol and water only - on a ratio of 1:1:3 - one part paint, one part water and three parts pouring medium. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
For the cell activator I am using Amsterdam's Titanium White and Australian Floetrol (1:3)
▶ Color Palette:
Liquitex: Primary Blue, Turquoise Blue.
Pebeo: Iridescent silver, Phthalocyanine Blue, Cyan Primary Blue.
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

I was afraid that so many blues would merge into one blue, but no, I should know Mark knows better. The silver was a perfect choice, adding to the painting without overwhelming it. Today I watched you during the painting process. I could see your mind was 100% on the painting. It was like you were in your happy place and the joy showed on your face. I love how the one area is centered by the lacing on both sides. All those blues with the silver are gorgeous! I definitely would love to see this technique with some other colors. It is really beautiful. Denise ❤

So Beautiful !! I'm calling this one the Little Mermaid. I'm a huge fan of the Blues. Im a Pisces so Blues are My Heart. But I've come up with another name for u mark. Not only are the The Marble Marble but U are also The Canvas Dancer ! U hold the canvas like a dancer holding on to their dance Partner. Its a site to watch yr face & eyes as u help the paint move as u wish. Great job Mark. I Absolutely Love Fluid Art !!

Hello Mark !! 🥰 You are misterious with your questions on the intro. 😄 I find the metallic color... than it's silver. 😉 But I've not find the technic. 😅

Lovely painting Mark. Have yet to try a swipe. As Australian Floetrol beyond budget I have bought some Aussietrol from Owetrol. Have you tried this and if so do you use same ratio as with Australian?
This is gorgeous. I’m a big blue fan and this really is stunning. Mark may I ask, how do you touch up the sides if you miss a few areas while titling? I find mine looks out of sorts and you can tell it’s not fluid with the piece.

What gorgeous shades of blue snd the cells are fantastic! Probably a silly question but I always wonder how you tell from bottles, the difference between Australian floetrol or American floetrol. Our Owrtrol bottles here in the UK are more obvious as it says Owatrol not floetrol.
Hiya. The Australian Floetrol has a red label (it’s not readily available and most people have to have it shipped in). US Floetrol is an orange label. They are actually also two seperate companies and not related so the US version is Flood Floetrol, Europe is Owatrol Floetrol, and Australian is Floetrol. Hope that helps
