Blue Dragon SWIRL - Using only Paint + Water PLUS a NEW Color! Abstract Art Painting

- Using paint and water can be so easy - you really don't always need a pouring medium so give it a try. I made my own unique color and did a swirl using the help of an embroidery hoop to help me get the shape I wanted.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Dutch Pour
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with water only - on a ratio of 1:1. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Brilliant Blue, Sky Blue Light, Kings Blue, Phthalo Blue, Titanium White.
I made my own base color combining Prussian blue and Paynes grey.
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Cool button that needs to be held down, I cut a bit of popsicle stick and pressed it on the button then taped it place tightly. Works great and I don’t have to hold it down. Mark, your paintings are always beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

This is fast becoming my favourite time ⏰ of the day.
Firstly, I love how always say at the beginning of every tutorial, "let's see what WE can create".
I feel that these words are acknowledging the ideas, requests & suggestions from all your fans, so thank you.
This creation is by far my favourite & I think it will always be my favourite.
I collect dragons so was intrigued by the description of this latest work. This collection started when my dad, who was in the Air Force, bought me a dragon 🐲 back from a trip to Japan ㊗️🗾 when I was only about 6 years of age.
Thanks also for contributing to my love of all things "dragon". 🐉
My excitement levels rose as every minute passed, with good reason.
The finished piece is truly brilliant & I also love the blues, (though again, I would love to see something similar in a purple palette. 💜
Even though this video arrived in the middle of the day, I saved it to watch now, the middle of the night!!
Unfortunately though, due to how excited 🎆 I am, I'm now going to go through my collection so probably won't get to sleep 😴 for a few hours.
But thanks to your calm, relaxed ways, I feel very relaxed myself.

I haven't been brave enough to try a pouring project yet as I would have to go outside to do it. Still cool thru the day sometimes, so I'm using that as my excuse. I will have a go as I am so impressed with your rhapsody in blues and hope I can achieve something as lovely.😊
