Autumn HATCH 🐣 Using an Egg Box to Paint Pour FUN Abstract Fluid Art Technique

- The seasons are changing and preparing for the winter, so nature is changing color and preparing for Autumn, so this creation is Autumnal inspired with the color palette and I am pouring from..... and EGG box! So much fun and the colors remained so VIBRANT! Yay! Let's see what we can create.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Egg Box Pour
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with Owatrol Floetrol and water only - on a ratio of 1:1:3 - one part paint, one part water and three parts pouring medium. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Pyrrole Red, Azo Orange, Vandyke Brown, Olive Green Light, Lamp Black
Pebeo: Primary Yellow.
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Wonderful. You were the first artist that I saw using pouring paint, this was a few months ago and you made it look so easy! Ha! My mistake to think that it was. You are a pro Mark and you give lost of inspiration to budding painters. As you say in nearly all of your films, “take your time, step back look at what you’ve done and think about what you’d like to do next”. Wonderful advice. Its beautiful and fun. I love it. It reminds me when i was a kid grabbing an arm full of colorful leaves and throwing them up in air just to see where they would fall. Mostly on my head. But very nice and fun.❤❤❤

Oh wow Mark its stunning, its just so beautiful to look at.
Something reminded me of going down to Brighton in the early mid 60s as a small child and watching the Rock makers stretching the candy into logs etc.
Making the Humbug squares and the Rock sticks 😊😅

What a bright stunning piece!!! I love everything about it. Those black "deep gaps" between the bright colours are gorgeous. I am impressed about all those thin lines and nothng getting muddy. Awsome job 🖒💖
PS: it would be interesting to run a marble through the lines before tilting the paint over the edges. Maybe it would end up looking a bit "overloaded", but it might be worth a try... 😉

Vibrant Autumnal palette❤. Would you recommend trying to find a yellow that is more opaque? or is there any such thing?
There are opaque yellows - I know Amsterdam does one and I’m sure others don’t, mainly listed as “primary yellow” or similar - it’s just about being mindful of the opaqueness of a color when doing a dark background within your palette

how long do you let it dry before you put on the varnish /and how do you put on the varish
Dry and cure for 3/4 weeks and then I use a spray gloss varnish

A few days “dry to touch”, a few weeks to fully cure.
