Bonjour Mark!! 🤔❤

Mark, this piece turned out very beautiful. I am impressed how you always get a very good end result even when you change plans in the middle of the process. I must say that I liked how your first idea started. When you lifted the cookie cutter for the first time it looked like a flying fireball with a long tail. With a fitting background it would have looked great, too. Also, the piece looked interesting when there were still some lines of the circles visible. Would have been another beautiful design if the blow dryer had only passed every 45 degrees, but that way the paint would probably have cracked. Anyway, your end result is gorgeous and like always it was fun to watch you create 🖒💖

“Old paint on a canvas, as it ages, sometimes becomes transparent. When that happens it is possible, in some pictures, to see the original lines: a tree will show through a woman's dress, a child makes way for a dog, a large boat is no longer on an open sea. That is called pentimento because the painter "repented," changed his mind. Perhaps it would be as well to say that the old conception, replaced by a later choice, is a way of seeing and then seeing again. That is all I mean about the people in this book. The paint has aged and I wanted to see what was there for me once, what is there for me now.”
    Lillian Hellman, Pentimento

I enjoyed the final results but I wondered why you began with a star shaped cookie cutter but didn't use the paint to form that shape. I thought you would will the star with paint and allow the paint to come out naturally to make a star shape and them pick up the mold up straight to also allow the paint to stay in the star shape. When you dragged the cookie cutter through the paint the star shape was lost ang the pao=int started to become muddy. Mark I always enjoy your shows. Much Success.

Thank you so much. I don’t use pillows in my work (that’s mainly a term used for the Shelee technique I think?). If I use a base color I use acrylic paint and all my paints and ratios are listed in each video description 🙏🤩
