I love it ! And for those who didn't know, the original song of "My Way" was "Comme d'habitude" by "Claude François" you should all go check it out to see how it sounded too. Even though they don't have the same meaning, both versions (Frank and Claude's) are amazing ! Two amazing singers who are not there anymore unfortunately… Claude François was only 39 when he passed away. Two amazing singers, ICONS, I will always be fascinated about ❤️
Amazing instrumental version and so proud it was composed by a french man name Jacques Revaux and the original lyrics by Gilles Thibaut and performed by Claude François. Claude so proud that Frank Sinatra himself (his idol) performed the english version. Congratulations.
This is THE version! The original shown everywhere doesn't have this good instrumental. I've always had this version with vocals and the rest aren't right. Finding it in the internet was hard enough. I was now looking for a backing only track, nothing good. Hoping to find at least something like this version, searching for long, started to lose hope then found this exact one I needed. Thank you for making this!
no he didnt, he was approached to write the song and the producers then changed their minds, the song was written by Paul Anka and the music is from a french song called comme d'habitude
I respect Frank so much for this song... but I have to say that Elvis really sounded like he knew his time was really short when he did it and just gave it more depth! Long live the two of them!
I HEAR. MY DAUGHTER IN LAW LIVES IN MANILA AND WANTS ME TO RECORD IT FOR HER. I WILL IN TIME. HAVE LINGERING COLD. WHEN I GET TO THE PHILIPPINES I WILL TRY TO DO SOME CLUB WORK. I LOVE TO DO AND KNOW MOST OF SINATRA'S CHARTS.
Does anyone else think this song's instrumental sounds a lot like Pink Floyd's "Us and Them"? The sax, the slow pace, the piano.... They all seem to coalesce in similar ways almost at the right moment to make the same movements in both pieces
i like elvis his version just a much but its more because he can sing it so powerfull , frank really tells it like an old grandpa whos on his death bed kinda way but mean that in a positive way hahah great story teller
One of the most brilliant chord progressions ever composed.
