Thanks for this upload.I had a near death experience last Friday. I went on my road bike down a moist-wet and slippery road and of course the wheel slipped and I lay there on the tarmac. Frame broken, helmet totally broken... Badly injured.... (wouldn't have survived it without my helmet....). Today, recovering from the wounds and the accident I decided to do some karaoke and also came to this song. Now, I can sing it all clear and bright. Even though my body is still recovering. Yes, it is my way. I always say what is on my heart. I make mistakes, I will keep making them. Yet, I know that I also do a lot of good things. For myself, for my wife, for my cat, for my friends and family, for the homeless/jobless people who sit in front of the grocery stores...I'm broken (yeah, physically from the accident last Friday, yet, mostly broken due to 17 years of child abuse....) though more evolved and certainly never shy to speak out. When God decides to call me to Him, I will not go with many regrets. I will go with pride in my heart that I took my life in my own hands. Even though the monsters of my past always wanted to make me as weak as possible. Life is too short and too beautiful (even when you have to deal with C-PTSD...) to not live it the way it is so perfectly described as by Paul Anka in this song. Thank you!
@@MilaMila-cb4cm I meant a bicycle. Yet, if a motorbike makes you happy, do it :-) Better a Harley than one of those sports motorbikes. The drivers of said motorbikes often think that the public road is a race circuit..... I don't have the same observations regarding the more relaxed motorbikes like Harleys. The wind in your hair and the satisfaction that you get from riding on two wheels is, IMO, higher than that of a car :-) (however, you are much safer in a car than on a roadbike/motorbike.

Basically due to the song's machismo connotation, drunkeness of patrons in Philippine karaoke bars, and the obvious singing performance of some people, they would sometimes be killed when or after singing this song. So many karaoke machines here do not have the code to play this song anymore.
