The price of my 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road is Insane!

  • As promised, here is how much I paid for my 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road with crew cab and long bed. If you're interested in buying one or just interested in the numbers then this video will break down all the expenses involved. This video can also be applied to other new or used vehicle purchases. I highly suggest doing your due diligence before getting a loan like checking your credit score, checking the current interest rates and shopping at multiple banks to get the best deal. Don't let the bank screw you over with a high interest rate. I am unorthodox with my loans, so let me know if you think I made the right decision or if you have a better strategy. I'd like to know what you'd do in this type of situation in the comments section below.

Yeahhh it’s kind of annoying...also, depending on your state, dealers don’t even budge on discounts. And sell at MSRP. Dealers in Utah have Tacoma’s sold even before the truck reaches the lot.

I’ve not bought a car from the dealer yet, I heard that you can bargain at the dealership to lower the msrp you just have get out of your comfort zone and try to get the price down. One of our friends who bought car recently was able have the price brought down instead of buying it full price at least. Anyone else can confirmed this? This was in California FYI

If you're not lazy about buying your Tacoma, you can still find a deal, but not in your crowded metropolis where the shortages are evident. I just flew 800 miles from Orange County, CA to a rural dealer to pick up my 2021 4x4 TRD Offroad. With taxes and fees I paid the sticker price out the door. That computes to 10% below MSRP for the truck alone, and about $3,000 less than any deal I was offered in busy SoCal. After paying $500 for my flight ticket and gas to drive home, I saved $2,500 and had a nice drive home exploring parts of the country I've not seen before. And to top it off, my loan's APR is 2.29% for 60 mo, compared to 2.9% offered in OC. Seriously, why would you not want to save money and enjoy a nice drive to break in your vehicle?

Thank you for being very transparent with the purchase price. I’m a finance nerd and always appreciate seeing the real numbers. The car market these days have gone nuts and it’s tough to find a good deal for high demand vehicles. We had a good deal with my dad’s Tacoma earlier in the year, but nobody was willing to budge from MSRP with our recent shopping for my sister’s Mazda3.

I paid $43k cash out the door last year for my highest spec’d(leather, all tech packages) 2019 4x4 TRD OffRoad w/ 8k miles. I could only negotiate $1k off the OTD price unfortunately due to the pandemic, as there were maybe 3-4 available here in Phoenix at any given time. Just no leverage to negotiate in such a high demand/low supply market. Of course lowest price is best but I was totally satisfied as it already had full ceramic tint, predator side steps, Bakflip trifold tonneau cover, hitch/ball, etc. Great truck, unbeatable resale value. Only sticking point was no Apple CarPlay in a 2019 vehicle when it was available in other Toyotas and nearly all other makes even w/ much lower MSRP.

California dealership markup is insane. I went to a dealership in LA charging 15k extra for a TRD pro 4Runner and they said they “only charge that much over because they are a volume dealership.” I contacted a smaller dealership out of town who is selling below MSRP and shipping the vehicle to me. 84 month is definitely not a bad idea for DTI but you’ll feel a lot better paying it off sooner 😂 the rate gap I saw between 72 and 84 wasn’t as high; I usually recommend credit unions, Bank of America, or US Bank after working in the industry. Congrats on the new whip it looks awesome!

My 2021 TRD Sport totaled to $49k, threw 10K down and will pay $525 a month for the next seven years at 3.2%. Worth it!

Love this video because you put how much you paid. First of all damn... The truck looks amazing, but holy moly are cars so expensive. A little mini truck be over $40k is just insane.

    • @carlospina6604
      @carlospina6604 3 года назад

"holy molly" you are absolutely correct, cars are insanely expensive. This is called "INFLATION". We are heading into it for sure. So it's time to invest in consumables that can be liquidated if you need to. A car should not be considered an investment because it is a liability usually and loses value rapidly.... except when you buy a Tacoma, Land Cruiser, 4Runner in that direction. You have to drive something anyway. You might as well drive it in style and something that has a bit better chance riding that inflation wave than a VW or a Ford or worse, a Hyundai.

@@carlospina6604 I know what inflation is, but the way cars have gone up on prices is just insane. Everything has gone up, but like cars have dramatically gone up in a very high level that is insane. Like a Tacoma $45k MSRP is just plain insane. Cars were more affordable before now its getting impossible to buy a new car.

Yes another much better way is if you look the deals at the dealership ( sample) sometimes they have the 1.9 IR on any truck , that’s when is a good time to purchase ( you have to financial their the dealership) much better option ( you have to have very good credit score) but you do did a good job!

Cash for everything. That’s it. People say I’m nuts, but i am a multi millionaire and I drive a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. I also live in a very modest house. Buying a 44k truck, I think you should be making 250k plus a year to justify such a purchase.

    Great video!
I feel I should also share my experience of purchasing my Tacoma to help anyone thinking of buying one in the future.
I bought mine a week ago from San Antonio, TX and this is the deal I could negotiate:
2021 TRD Sport 4X2 Double Cab (Cement)
    Sticker Price: 38,975
    Final Sales Price: 32,800
    Trade-in equity: 12,260
    Otd price: 22000
Monthly payment: $393 for 60 months
    Hope this helps!

I bought a 21 double cab TRD sport 4x4 w/ 5ft bed. Didn’t pay any markup and managed to get out the door, w/sales tax for 40k. Dealer didn’t really want to deal but didn’t try to jam me with stuff I didn’t want. I’m not unhappy with my deal as I wanted a new tacoma
