just got my 2021 two weeks ago SO FAR I LOVE IT AND STILL CANT BELIEVE I HAVE ONE
You haven't been walking the floors in the early morning hours having that buyers remorse of paying thousands for a way over priced overated truck have you?
@@EarlGoreman salty much?
@@EarlGoreman you seem like a joy to be around with.
Got mine 2 months ago! Hype is an understatement
Congrats! :-)
had 03 sr5 for 18 years and ordered the cement 2021 TRD off road - great buy and investment - nice look
I bought a 2020 tundra as a daily driver/tow vehicle for my E46 and absolutely love it. Was never a truck guy but I totally get it now
You picked the most reliable truck you could ever get. Smart man
glad you became an actual man now!
I really like the Tundra and can't wait for the new model coming out soon.
@@SeanS54 i can't wait either, but if there's no v8 option, then i'm not going to want one 😂😂 somethin about full size trucks with these v6s doesnt sit right with me lol
i’m gonna get mines in 4 DAYSSSS IM SO EXCITED
Mine is coming in about a month from now. I can't wait. Its a TRD off road premium in cement as well. 🙂
I ordered the exact same truck, same color everything but in manual. I'm a month into the 3-4 month wait for it to arrive. This COVID crap better not add more wait time. Nice truck bud. Enjoy~
Very cool! I've ordered a custom built car from the factory years ago and the wait was intense. The wait will be well worth it.
So if I change the grill the sense won't work any more I wana put a pro grill on there??
That button with 400w on it is for the plug in the bed I believe.
Yep, 400 W when truck is not running and 100 W when is running.
@@buffalo241 you have that backwards
@@chrisb6866 OK Thanks for letting me know.
Loaded the video on my phone as well to say the same thing !
You guys are right!
like your truck see you got it at stockton Toyota how was the dealer treatment? I'm in Livermore bro
That Accord Sport with the slicktop is an eye catcher!
Agreed. Love it too but sold it to make room for the truck.
got mine a month ago..same everything as yours man...love the truck.
Cool!
I just purchased the Tacoma TRD Pro in Black. So far I like it.
That’s my next truck.
Very cool. My E46 M3 track car and my Honda Pilot are black.
Changing the alternator power when your towing haha 😄
Did you go through the Costco program. Elk Grove Toyota accepts it. I saved a lot compared to other Norcal dealers
Honest question all. About how much is the average monthly payment for a truck like this? Seems like so many of you can afford these trucks. I def feel I couldn’t. Is there a secret I’m missing out on? Tax break? Tax credit? Dealership pays you?
Which dealer did you buy this beautiful truck at? California?
I see you got it without heated seats, I'm curious if they left blank buttons on where Tacomas that have heated seats options would normally go? That's a pet peeve of mine
I have heated seats in mine as well but i did look at a few without that option and they do not have a blank. Nothing is there at all
The truck bed on the double cab don’t match the rest of the trucks side design throughout on the sides. That’s why I’m getting the black access cab SR5 4x4 Tacoma.
Just got mine two days ago but with the off road package. Didn't know it had remote start until I watched your video.
I'm about to get mine but it has a manual transmission so I suspect no remote start. Lmk if you know anything about it.
Cool. Glad to help. :-)
Just bought this in the access cab version, still waiting for it 😩
I think most Tacoma guys are saying 4400lbs as the practical limit for towing. I did have a student last month with a full-interior-E36 and U-Haul trailer pulled with a Tacoma, but he traveled a short distance.
I'll do some testing in a few months and post my feedback.
Nice video! I bought a midnight black TRD off road
Thanks!
I bought a 2021 TRD off road 4x4 prem pkg in midnight black too !
209 in the house... Nice truck!
Best deal in Bay from the 209! :-) I could've sworn I saw Nate Diaz (UFC fighter) in a lifted truck when I was there but not 100% sure because of his window tints.
I’m looking to buy one, but there are no deals right now because of low inventory 2 to 5 thousand over msrp over 41 ,000 OTD for cloth seats 😬
I’ll just wait till production is back up.
Contact several dealerships because many didn't want to negotiate but I found one an hour away that did.
Nice truck good choice I been looking at theses and the tundras I
Just can decide on what truck to get
TRD Pro Taco is the way to go.
I thought about the Tundra too but chose the Tacoma for better MPG and better driveability because it's a smaller truck. Wait for the redesign of the new Tundra in the coming months to see what's change before you decide.
Tundra is like a boat..Tacoma all day
sunroof? what color is this??
A BEAUTY
Aaah, Sean! I know where you live now (when you cycled to your nav map). I will steal your truck tonight. kidding, I just ordered 2021 TRD OR also. Nice truck.
LOL. Thanks!
Does you taco come with a moonroof? And did you special order that truck? I’ve been looking for a new taco with all the features except the moonroof. I really don’t care for moonroof or sunroof. I’ve had bad experiences with them. Last three vehicles the moonroof/sunroof leak.
That one doesn’t have a moonroof. The moonroof comes with a higher package which he doesn’t have.
No moonroof. I didn't want the moonroof on this truck. It wasn't a special order but I had to search several dealerships to find the exact specs I wanted.
@@SeanS54
Yiu have to have a tech package or above to get a moonroof.
Nice truck! I have 2018 trd off-road
Thanks!
What was the walkout price on this? I’m debating getting the premium package
You'll have no regrets if you get the premium. If you go with this one, you'll always be questioning your decision.
How much was the total price I'm looking to buy my first truck and I think this one is the one I was I always have cars never have a truck I like this one nice video by the way
This one is MSRP 40k-42k if I'm not mistaken. Not sure about your region but toyota does have some lease deals that might make some sense for the Tacomas.
Depends on the options and depends on the dealership (some dealers wanted MSRP, some wanted mark-up!). I contacted several dealerships before driving an hour to find the exact specs and pricing I wanted. Check True Car, Edmunds, and KBB for fair market pricing.
I just got the 21 TRD off road as well. Though my color is metallic gray.
Bro you need to get new tires as well. I got rid of the good years and went straight to 265 75 16 bf Goodrich KO2s my next mod is 2.5 inch leveling kit
Cool! I've been researching new wheels & tires so that will happen eventually. :-)
How is it doing these days?
What country was this one made in? Does it say inside the door?
It says on the top left of the msrp sticker. Either San Antonio or Mexico.
How much was this package out the door? Jw cause I was looking for the same package as well.
I got it for $40K + California sales tax. Contact multiple dealerships because some don't negotiate.
Mine was 44k out the door. Call around because like the poster said this is one vehicle they hold firm on their price. When I was at the lot looking they had two left, this or the Pro. It was early January and the 2021 were selling faster than crack on skid row.
Ok but why does the navigation only work through apple play. And they don’t tell you
My navigation works without apple car play but i bought the premium package
Love Tacoma’s but the transmission in the new ones is a step backwards and fix that seating position! For now, I’m taking a 4Runner instead.
What’s wrong with the seating position?
2020+ comes with power front driver seat which is an improvement. Seating position is fine for me being average height. I agree the transmission can better.
How many miles do you get with a full tank ?
96
Very nice.
Thanks!
Did they fix transmission gear hunting??.... had a 2017..... got rid of it because of problems
Dang sorry. I’ve actually never heard somebody saying they had a problem with a Tacoma
@@addelgado2008 Well that’s a little surprising because there is a ton of RUclips videos on transmission issues started back from 2016!!....... I didn’t know about the issue until I bought mine in 2017...... maybe you don’t have a problem it does a lot of gear hunting like if you’re going up a hill it drops down lets the RPMs go up real high even a small incline...... maybe you don’t have that problem maybe they fixed it I don’t know.....I loved my truck I just didn’t like the problems with the transmission I took it back several times and they re-flashed it it’s still didn’t help so I got rid of it
@@ruger-hi2tg you’re totally right. Started watching some videos on it.
@@addelgado2008 I really don’t know if they fix the problem they may have and you may not be having that problem but I just thought I’d share the information with you just pay attention when you’re going down the highway and you’re on slight inclines or hills see if it constantly gear hunts. But hopefully they have fix the problem I just don’t know and I won’t know until I test drive one
I got a tundra, thinking of trading it for one of this or a 4runner
I wouldn't. the V6 is rather underpowered. Gas mileage doesn't vary much.
Wait for the new Tundra redesign coming out soon to see what has changed. If the changes aren't significant as far as MPG and tech, get a Tacoma if you need a truck or a 4runner if you're okay with an SUV. My brother in law has modified 4runner and it's nice!
Do you have heated seats?
Unfortunately not. I wish I had leather too.
does it have cruize control?
Yes they do.
Did the auto start come stock ?
Has to have the audio plus option
@@JD-qw4bo Good to know. Stock on my 2021 with the options I mentioned.
Has anybody bought their's straight out full price plus taxes and fees(no financing/payments)? id like to know if im getting a good deal
Yep after all said and done with the extended warranty 51g as of two days ago.. that’s the off road premium with tech package and black out everything
So you have a Pilot, I just sold my 2004 Pilot ,🇨🇦 I owned for 17 years for $10k. My name is on a 2022 off road premium Tacoma, blue crush metallic, coming early November hopefully sooner. great minds thinks alike !
Enjoy - I bought my 2019 TRD OR Dbl Cab Tacoma in Jan of '19...I have put 81K miles on it so far - MANY of those in 4x4 (we own a horse farm on a river). I've owned a LOT of vehicles and we have 4 now...this Tacoma is not the most expensive vehicle we own - not by a LONG shot. However BY FAR this truck is the BEST value vehicle I have now or have ever had! It performs wonderfully in the mud, along the trails, on the road, everywhere!!!! Good luck, enjoy and be safe!
Damn!.. I bought the same truck as you but a 2018 model in June of 2018. It is now just about 2 1/2 years old, and I only have 15K on it!
@@chrisb6866 ha! Yeah my main office is 120 miles round trip! That’s one of the negative things about our horse farm...but it’s worth it to us! I can walk out my back door and fire my rifles, guns and no worries.
Great feedback. Thanks!
What happened to the pilot?
Still have it as the main family vehicle since it's a roomy 8 seater. :-)
Just got my 2021 Tacoma 4x4 off-road in army green the sticker price was 40k but the dealer added a markup of 6,000 just for the green because its more scarce they said but I was able to negotiate the price a bit
How can a 2021 Army Green Tacoma be scarce when it's not even 2021 yet?
You got hosed bro. I’ve heard of a few places marking up Pros for $3k but not off roads. Worse case you might have had to pay msrp, but no markups. That’s crazy. That said, I hope you enjoy your truck.
Army Green is a cool color. Most dealerships weren't willing to negotiate so I reached out to several.
Question... what do you do for a living? Lol jealous
:-)
It doesn't have premium audio
Anyone been able to get a trs off road for under 40k?
Depends on the options and your area. Contact several dealerships because many I found asked for MSRP and some mark-up. I drove an hour to find my exact specs and best pricing.
Does the transmission still wander all over the place?
Get a manual
@@terrynichol577 OK that does not make any sense
@@seadoo4life127 get a manual transmission and you won't ask this question is what I meant..it's irrelevant with the this transmission in the Tacoma
@@terrynichol577 oooooh I though you meant buy the manual “booklet “😂
@@seadoo4life127 lol sorry
beautiful! how much did you pay out the door?
Hes from California guaranteed he paid msrp at the lowest if not $1k off at most. Thats basically the going deal right now in the state. Im from Socal and the prices of 4 runners and tacos is insane right now due to pandemic ruining inventory. 4 runners are exempt from costco auto buying discounts too in my region.
A fair guess would be $43-44k with taxes and fees.
@@superserial1 Very good guess guys and you're right about the California dealerships not willing to negotiate much.
I’m stuck man between a manual or auto!!!?
Manual is a fun daily driver. Auto is better for off roading and better for commuting in traffic. I think autos get better MPGs too.
Manuel is in my Spanish class
Its also cheaper repairs and more reliable
Also, put it in the garage. Too many tweekers what the catalytic converter
Lock lock lpco hold lock
You might get the front windows tinted
Have you towed your track car with it yet? I’m about to be in the same boat. Just curious on how it performed
Thinking about it.
@@chrisharris8872 Not yet but will in the coming months. I'll post a video when I do.
You know you're not gonna read the manual lol.. thats what RUclips is for brother 🤣
Whats your out the door price?
With these options, $40K + California Sales Tax. Contact multiple dealerships because some weren't willing to negotiate.
37000!! Holly Shit Balls.
That is base price. He didn’t show sticker price with the options, which was below off camera It was likely around $41-ish. A few thousand more after that for taxes etc if he didn’t get any discounts off msrp.
Stop at the rear axle and see that Toyota is still using drum brakes in 2021, 1960's tech, no other light truck does
I hear you on that. There are aftermarket kits available to change the drum to disc but I probably won't mess with the brakes on this truck.
Total spread on 60-0 midsized segment is 9 feet with GM's rear disc Canyonero coming in last place. Shouldn't theses trucks all have independent rear suspension? Solid axle technology is from the late 1800s?
I want one - just don’t want the payment
Then save up pal
For real, life is short
They got really good deals right now they offered me 400$ a month
Looks very expensive
