last edit! this was my first project as a huge beginner to crocheting and this was a pretty good tutorial! i think showing us exactly where some of the holes to double crochet in (like a fellow commenter also said) would be great! and including how exactly to tie off the hat would also be helpful, as i had no idea how to do that and had to go to another tutorial. overall, a good tutorial, even if i had to ask my mom for some help (who crocheted years ago and coincidentally the person i made this hat for). i learned a lot from this video anyways so thank you and good luck in your future endeavors!

I'm new to crochet, but I love it. I made this beanie for my granddaughter, and it turned out great. Just a few flaws that most people wouldn't notice. Thank you. You're a great teacher. 😊

Just finished one for my teenaged daughter. I was following the adult medium directions and still had to do a little extra decreasing for it to fit the way she wanted, but she's thrilled with it. Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial. :)

I'm a little late to the party, but if i want to make it a little bigger, i suppose i add on 2 more in the beginning where you made 8? Can i add 4 more to make it 12 instead of 8??

I wish one of the numerous videos would show exactly where (which hole?)their double crotche is going through. I'm unable to see it & am a beginner with this. Otherwise good tutorial. Im making some for the homeless and some will be gifts.

This was a really great tutorial except I’m not sure how many stitches should be left on the decreasing rounds, it’s a little bit confusing. Otherwise though great job!

Even though I like your tutorial it's a bit confusing because the beanie that you just made looks so much smaller than the one in the model, like something was missing.

Just a word of warning for anyone following this tutorial...
This comes out waaaaaay too big and does not grab onto the head at all, just sits there and you'd have to clip it on for it to stay in your hair and I followed the CHILD instructions with the intention of it being an adult size medium..turned out like an adult XXXL.
I will say the tutorial is nice for beginners learning how to do basic stitching.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Just wondering if you used the recommended yarn and hook size? It should not have been a drastic size difference like that. I have made this particular hat countless times & have received multiple positive reviews on Etsy for this pattern.
It’s worth double checking the yarn and hook size; this will impact the result big time

@@DIYFromHomeCrochet Sorry I'm so late to this lol but yes I did! I actually tried following it twice and cut the number of rounds in half the second time and it was still just way too big for my preference. It was just a heads up (no pun intended lol) in case anyone is looking for a tighter, slouchy but not excessive, fit. Regardless, your pattern helped me create the perfect slouchie beanie for me and I thank you for that. :)
