This is THE BEST video I've found for walking a beginner through the process of starting a hat at the top! Great instructions and camera angle. Thank you!! 😊
Thank you for sharing this pattern. 🙏 I’m a male crocheter who was taught by my grandmom 55 years ago, and I’ve just begun again. I’m really looking forward to making this beanie. Since I’m rusty (essentially a beginner again), I need SLOW video of the various stitches, especially at the beginning. Your teaching is understandable, but when you demonstrate the stitches, you go VERY fast. Please consider showing the initial video of the various stitches more slowly for us beginners. Thank you!
Click on the video. Three vertical dots appear upper right of the screen. Select playback speed. You can slow down the video. I do this when trying to learn foreign language. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much! This pattern worked out great for me and your tutorial was perfect! I especially liked that you took and provided all the measurements. This really helped me because I didn't have the exact yarn you used and used a much bulkier yarn but once I hit those measurements I knew I was on the right track! So I had less rows but same shape and result. Thanks again!
To everyone who gets frustrated or been called names for liking this🥰💞💕 your wonderful and I just want to tell you something from my experience and to tell you something for you and you alone :) My brothers and my moms side of the family say I have an old lady problem for liking to knit and crochet or do those plastic bracelets become of how patient I am. But I like to think this helps soothe my stress, it may come out sloppy but that's the happiness of failure because you get up and try again. Like my family said to me don't let other say the same, it really hurt me that they said that and the live of my life called me awesome and cool for being able to be patient and calm when doing these things! Appreciate what you do! Being relearning or beginning to learn is the most satisfying thing ever❤❤❤💕💞.
I'm currently working on my third one of these. super simple and it looks extremely professional and neat when finished! thanks for sharing this pattern
Thank you very much for this pattern. I have just finished knitting a jumper for a young man whose taste is a little quirky. One purple cuff on an overall green speckled jumper 😁. I have crocheted this using the two different greens in the jumper and am adding a pom pom which will include the two greens and the purple. Your tutorial was excellent. Once again many thanks. ❤️
Omg I love you. Thank you for this. Best tutorial ever, and you even did the method that makes the seam straight so I'm so stoked for this. Thank you! Bless.
You surely are The Best...Thank You from the heart for sharing you talent..It is sooo appreciated.❤❤❤❤❤ My hat came out great with your instructions....Thank You Thank You, Coco😂😂 Am a Happy camper, Thanks again🎉😊
The chain 2 at the beginning every round is the one that you don't count and it is not included to the 12, 24, 36 etc , the slip stitch is to connect for each round to the second st after the ch 2, hope this help, thank you 😊
Thank you for your kindness and the prompt reply. One more question Is it correct that as the round gets higher the ring gets a little wider even the stitches are still remaining in 60 stitches Thank you
Where/what are the size adjustments (chart)? I made this following the video. It worked up quickly and with no problems. I like the hat. However, it is way to big.
you should probably skip round 5 then and instead stay at 36 stitches around total, like once you are done with round 4 continue to increase until you reach your desired length and this should make it smaller. the poster probably did not supply a chart bc ppl use different yarns/hooks so itll depend everytime
using your tape, take your head circumference, then divided 3.14, then you will get your Diameter ( Diameter= head circumference : 3.14), hope this help
Row 6- there's no increase meaning 1DC on each stitch all around, repeat the row 6 till row 21, but if you wish to increase then the pattern should be 1dc on each stitch ( 4times) then 2DC in to the next stitch, repeat all around. I hope this will help you, thanks
Thanks so much. This is the first time I actually understand how to make a magic circle!!! You made it easy 🎉🎉🎉

It's a VIDEO, not a live demo. Just PAUSE and rewatch?!
You can always change the playback speed. I do this a lot! Good luck.

So is the beginning the crown width of the hat or?@LittleRevacrochet
No Slip Stitch, does not count as is 9nly for joining the row and not a separate stitch😊❤
