I played this for my Dad before he died last year~at 94! He was still sharp, and with tears in his eyes, thanked me. He said "Carol, I hope I can find it. I'll keep a place for you." You will find other kind that have been in search of you. I hope he is free and found his way!
I'm a very hetero man and I'm crying right now..I miss my dad and wish I'd played lots of things for him. As a musician myself, he did come to my gigs once in a while. I'm glad he saw his son make something of himself, what with how bad a student I was growing up.. I wish I could go back and start all over. I'd eat up school lessons and get good grades and degrees. My dad died at 92 hating me for the mistakes I made with him, not even thanking him for all he did for me and especially not telling him I love him... Oh how I would love to see him right now..

Recently found out Phillip Bailey has walked with Christ for over 60 years, that he’s even had Bible studies on the tour buses. He even prayed with a group of men frequently. No wonder why he performed and sang like he did. That fulfills my joy, that none of it was in vain, it was for the King of Kings. And that he may praise the Lord with that voice when we are finally with Him for eternity.
Remember, He is the gate, come to Jesus Christ and He will never let you perish. May anyone who thirsts come, and drink from the fountain of life freely

Bailey moves like a panther on that stage. This band brought talent, drama and spectacle. They enjoyed performing. So joyful. Best live performance I ever attended!
EW&F and this HBO concert was the pivotal moment that is wholly responsible for inspiring me to become a musician. I still play keyboards today-thanks to seeing Larry Dunn surrounded by them in this concert (I just bought my 12th synth today 😂)…

And he still sounds like this. If you get a chance to see them, GO!! Yes, there is something missing with Maurice gone, but I’m telling you that you won’t regret it. They do a beautiful tribute to Maurice with “That’s The Way of the World.” Had me crying like an unfed baby with a soiled diaper.

To see EWF Live with Maurice White was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience! They are my favorite group of all time!
I saw them LIVE at Madison Square Garden in 2019 and they were SPECTACULAR!!! You have never seen such a broad range of ages, ethnicities, creeds, cultures, etc.

Just saw them in concert. They showed just as much or more Joy and energy now as when this was filmed!! WHOA. They blew me away! One of the best concerts I HAVE EVER BEEN TO ! They had the entire arena jumping together in this song! I wanted to rush the stage and jump with Verdine!

I am now a Born-Again Christian. And the music that I listen to today is quite different than the one we had in the 70s. However, I cannot deny this music group caught my attention and captivated me immensely … and even today I feel this was the best soul music group of that era. But behind the scenes, there was a lot of darkness and I couldn’t see it. I was in a different mood away from God. But now, even though I still like it, my spirit is no longer tight to it like it was in the past. Jesus Christ is my lord now and the music that I listen to today fulfill my soul in a very different way. God Bless you all…
