    It's not the first modular gaming mouse - the Mad Catz R.A.T beat it to the punch by quite a few years! That mouse did have its fair share of issues though! Edit: he changed the title so my comment is pointless now! Yippeeeee!

    This is such a sick idea! I love this concept. I already have a mouse that fits my hand size and grip style pretty much perfectly (G Pro Wireless; I wish the Superlight shape was the same as the OG GPW, but I tried both out in person and they're slightly different. The GPW fit my hand better.), but for those who haven't found their perfect fit yet, this is an awesome option without spending a ton of money on several different mice.
    Also, for the people saying that the Mad Catz R.A.T. was the first modular mouse, that's technically true, but it still had a very specific/unique base shape to the frame that couldn't really be changed much. This new product gives you almost complete free reign over the shape of the ENTIRE mouse (minus the front where the triggers are), and that's epic!!

    It's funny, i just bought a Deathadder V3 to replace my broken G703. The shapes look near identical on Amazon and while simply looking at the mouse, but they feel wildly different in the hand and i find myself wishing i could just put the Deathadder internals into the G703. One huge pro I can see here is that you can pretty much indefinitely test all sorts of mouse shapes and configurations to find the best ones that work for you and then keep whatever works best for you, but also change things up when getting into new games with new demands.
    The only other way to even just sufficiently test a mouse is to buy it, and then if you want to keep swapping things around and compare you would have to buy several different mice.

It also had the option to adjust the resistance of the scroll wheel. The sides also worked as buttons which you could press in. I think in total there were 10 mouse buttons plus the scroll wheel.

If there isn't enough of a market to mass produce them, I couldn't imagine mirroring the shell and a small bit of software and hardware tinkering would be that expensive not to make them to order.

      That's the neat part, you can't know what shape works for you until you try it.
      If you're willing to do gaming for the rest of your life, I'd say 200 bucks is an acceptable price to have a decent mouse you can experiment your shape prefrences on. Eventually when it breaks or becomes outdated you'll know what mouse to replace it with depending on the shape you liked most, you'll have the information needed to buy the perfect shape mice for your hand for the rest of your life.

      @OrbitalWorks_coyeah, grips can vary a lot throughout game
      its something that i think a lot of people come to realize after experimenting with different shapes and grips with mice
      i tend to change from fingertip grip to claw gripping a lot

      I thought the same thing initially but I'm not so sure now.
      Firstly, I can definitely see myself using different mice for different things (ie a bigger mouse for non-gaming stuff). Just switching grips could do that as well.
      Secondly, how're you gonna know what your right setup is otherwise? Buy several mice to test them? That's far more waste and money spent.

    • @Dionyzos
      @Dionyzos 3 месяца назад +1

      I also don't see the point of it honestly. Most modular products like this don't get changed once the user finds their favorite setting and all the other parts collect dust in a drawer somewhere.

    • @Musikvidedo
      @Musikvidedo 3 месяца назад +16

      First, how're you gonna find the shape you like? By buying several actual mice? Much more money spent and waste created.
      Secondly, at least I don't have the same shape preference for ALL applications of my mouse. Different games or office stuff do definitely benefit from different shaped mouses I think.

      That's not the point at all, lol. This mouse kit allows you to change around the shape of the mouse to find the one that fits you the most, instead of having to buy like 10 different mice to get the shape that you want. It's about finding the shape that you like the most, not about changing the shape up a lot.
      I know that most people (at least here in the US; I can't speak for foreign countries) can just go to Best Buy or Micro Center and try out different mice, but even then those stores don't have every mouse on the market available to try out in person. This kit lets you spend money once and try out dozens of different shape and size combos to find the one that works best for you.

    • @Shyvorix
      @Shyvorix 3 месяца назад

      @daandelombaert7198 Yep. Buying is usually the only option for many places, even in the US, where most mice I am interested in aren't available for demo even in multiple micro centers nearby me. You'll never find brands like WLmouse in Micro Center, and especially not mice that are limited in quantity.

    The thing about modular gaming mouse is after you have found your optimal configuration, the extra parts becomes useless. Which means you might as well find a mouse that fits you in the first place. No one needs their mouse to keep changing or have preferences that keeps changing.
