Morning drew n Paul yes I’ve been working under my mobile home and it’s right too really sucks . It’s just dirt too no moisture barrier, I talked with a landscaper am gonna put this barrier down they use forgot the freaking name of it protects against animals . I had to crawl under mine so tight and there was a big asss hole so I had to cut around the steel beams and screw thick plywood wasn’t easy at all I was screaming shit falling on my face long story short fix the wholes put a barrier on the ground Buy a few vents secure the whole mobile home with nice skirting and build a door where the water line is yup. No contractor can’t afford one too much money 💰 the morons who owned before me screws old wooden fence they cut put it one side the other is white plastic you use in the shower don’t know the name of it real dickheads being lazy and super cheap so I gotta fix all this shit people don’t wanna fix it right the first time but drew and Paul are great guys am learning a lot but am doing the same thing guys and it’s not easy at all Joey Massachusetts

Drew and Paul just made my day! When I heard that a vapor barrier wasn't necessary (and Drew alluded he wasn't a fan), it saved a few bucks and a shit ton of work! Thanks you gentlemen

Bought a 1984 in a nice park in Central Florida in 2017. Got a great deal on it . Last summer i finally decided to get under it and do clean up and pull down all of the hanging insulation. I also pulled out a pile of tv cable lines due to the cable companies putting in new lines over the years. Cut down the propane gas line and added more blocks and straightened out some existing blocks. Raked it and put down heavy plastic. Now its so nice to go under there if needed. Plenty of room except for about the last 15 feet and then it gets tight. Edit again.... didn't see even one bug or spider. I was grateful for that considering im in Florida. But ive bombed under the mobile home at least once every year which helps.

Great Job! My son and I are going to do the same thing.. After the weather changes.Expecting High Winds tomorrow and around an i.5 inches of rain.. Tree roots have overrun the drains here in this park and I know they don't want to do it but I think Rotary drain clearing is in order.

I've lived in a number of mobile homes and I've had to get underneath them for one reason or another. I've NEVER seen one as low to the ground as the one you are working on. My claustrophobia would kick in big time if I had to be working on this one!

One question that comes to mind is why are mobile homes so low to the ground in terms of their crawl spaces? You would think that they would be a little bit higher elevation just so that repairs could be easily done. Especially where the client replaced their underpinnings with block foundation.
That would have been a perfect time to raise it up by one block. Fantastic job you two and looking forward to seeing the rest of the videos on this place. :)

All I can say is it would be real nice if they would raise it up but generally they don’t they try to go as cheap as they can and less blocks is less money. Thanks for watching and I look forward to doing my best at these videos.

So much fun. My MH was much like that but the land is an incline. By the time I got to where all the damage was, the axles were still attached so we had to dig channels in from the side to repair the old insulation and ripped underbelly. Good luck!
