      I really appreciate your kind kind words I really do. All I know is if I’m working on your house your house is my house and tell I’m finished. And when I’m finished I want to be proud of it. I wish I could help everybody when it comes to this type of work because there are a lot of contractors that just will not touch a mobile home. I don’t know if they’re scared of it are they just not able to do it. I don’t know. Thank you so much I appreciate your comment 110% God bless. I make videos to help you or whoever needs the help. A lot of people cannot afford to pay Contractor‘s ridiculous amounts of money to fix their house or floors or walls or whatever the case may be. I try to keep the charges within reason. I know contractors that will bring in a laborer charge $50 an hour for him and he’s probably only worth five.

    These roof repair videos are great, but where the heck are all your penetrations from your hood vent, stove vent, bathroom vents, heater vent,...etc.😅

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  24 дня назад

      All the plumbing vents on mobile homes nowadays they are going with ventless. It would be under the sink of your mobile home not through the roof.

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  24 дня назад +1

      Go on Google and type in ventless vent pipes

    • @skippylanoue966
      @skippylanoue966 24 дня назад

      @@Drewsroofingandhomerepair it don't look like they're too reliable, however I can eliminate a lot of roof penetrations particularly the stove vent and heater vent... Stoves have self-contained vent hoods now, and if I go totally electric with the heating and cooling systems, I can eliminate my furnace vent "chimney".... It won't be a big deal to cut out for one or two penetrations, instead of dealing with the several that I have in my roof now.

    Whats the benefit of keeping the metal roof and laying OSB on top of it? Would the metal act like a radiant barrier? Would it not be better to remove the metal roof and put the osb on the rafters? Maybe could go ahead and install a radiant barrier on the underside of the OSB like some sheds do.

      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  Год назад +1

      Thank you for stopping by and that’s a great question I have actually done it both ways and I’m not sure if there was any benefit to removing it so for the most part when we do it we do not remove the metal. But like I said we have done it both ways I don’t think it matters either way to be honest

      I see it all the time on mobile homes. It is the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. I do not for the life of me understand why they allow them to do that but apparently they did I don’t understand it. It happens more often than you think more in the older mobile homes than the newer ones obviously

    • @w8what575
      @w8what575 2 года назад +2

      They didn’t start forcing a standard code with mobile homes until about 1982…before then they ran all the wiring through the center of the roof where they botched out a grove and laid them over the trusses…it’s mind boggling there are any older mobile homes left and they all didn’t end up burning down because of this crap…I have a 1977 mobile home that has wiring like that and it’s been a mess trying to figure out what wires go where and popping circuit breakers etc…I also am stunned that all they have are those tiny little trusses holding the place together on the roof lol
