Just got my bike yesterday and can't wait to get some serious milelage into this. He is 100% correct about the bike being much larger in person than the pics would indicate. I'm looking forward to modifying this bike with upgrades and wondering if I could swap out the handle bars with something that would make the bike more compact when folded!

I have mine here in Hungary and I love it. I now have over 1,000 km on it and can say it is excellent. However, it has several flaws that make it a bit less fun. I had a failure of the throttle within 400 km and Lankeilesi sent me one from China which took 2 weeks to arrive. The support is excellent. The kickstand very rarely catches my left foot which can be disconcerting. The rear rack is my main sore point and I think I will remove it. I ride on very hard trails with a lot of jumps, gravel, and rocks. I have several times landed a jump and bashed my right calf muscles into the rack and gotten some hefty bruises. I now force myself to ride with my right foot forward when hitting a jump so I can bash my left calf instead. It is a real problem. I am 175 cm tall but the seat post is too short to adjust so my legs are straight on the down stroke. I bought a carbon fiber 400 cm seatpost replacement which solved the problem. The front shocks are having issues with load noises on smaller bumps which sound like metal on metal. They work fine but are very noisy. I will disassemble the shocks and see if I can figure out why this is happening. It started roughly 300 km of use so is apparently a wear issue. It sounds like the pads have worn through at the top of the shocks and the pistons are hitting the top plate.
All that said it is excellent and I generally ride it on dual motors at level one and shift to 2 on steep hills using the throttle to push a bit harder when necessary. I adjusted the max speed to 35 kph so at level 1 it tops out at 25 kph. on flat areas, I move it to the rear motor only and either use level 1 or 2 depending on how fast I want to go. The throttle acceleration adjustment is misleading and doesn't affect the throttle at all but rather how much assistance there is. A higher number gives more oomph at a given assist level meaning less actual pedaling. I have found the default of 3 is actually the best and lets me still peddle with roughly 50% effort. I have had 2 flats since riding and both are on the rear tire. I now carry a seat bag with all the tools necessary to repair the tire when riding. You need at least 5 zip ties as well and a tire pump. One time I had to carry the rear of the bike 5 km as the tire was so flat it was coming off. It is very heavy at 40 kg and is a tough walk home lifting the rear all the way. When the throttle died I couldn't ride with power at all so found out how difficult it is to peddle with zero assistance. It is young but not as bad as you might expect with these massive tires. I rode home 15 km at roughly 15 kph including some big hills. I got a lot of exercise that day. I get a realistic 60 km pedaling on level 1 with dual motors and very steep hard trails. If you plan to ride 40 km or more you need to charge it completely or you will find out how it is to ride without assistance. The more you use only the motor without assistance the less range you will have. The battery meter level is awful and completely unreliable. I have ridden 40 km and it shows using only 1 of 5 bars then suddenly you have one bar left and if you have 20 km or more you won't make it home with any juice left.
I also notice the area where the battery and controller are gets pretty hot to the touch and I would estimate it to be over 80 degrees C, which might be a problem. I am pondering mounting a fan to cool it. Because I ride on awful trails there are also a lot of fairly deep pools on the roads that cannot be avoided due to vegetation. The motors so far appear to be water/mud resistant. However, when hosing and washing off all the mud later I notice the battery compartment is not water resistant at all so advise if washing the bike to remove the battery completely and make certain to dry out the interior of the battery storage area. If you ride on trails/roads that develop deep ruts the tires are impossible to get out of which can cause some problems. I end up trying hard to avoid getting into tire ruts and if I do I manually lift it out. If you try and ride out you will fall. I also have had to lift it over fallen trees some of which have trunks more than 50 cm. It is tough to do and be very careful of the front as it will suddenly twist when it gets over the side which can break your arm if you aren't careful. it is large and very heavy and a bitch to lift over obstacles.
I know it sounds bad but this is a beast of a bike and I do love it. It is the most fun I have had riding for over 50 years (I am 70). Other riders hate me :)
Hey there, brother! Appreciate your honest feedback! I'm actually planning to upgrade my seatpost too. And swapping out the kickstand is a good idea; those models bending to the other side could make a difference. As for the rack, it seems like a great fit for commuting, but if you're going offroad, it might be better to go without it.

@@BK42Cycles The overheating problem usually appears when I am riding a long distance and climbing long distances with 20% grades on hot days. It cools off when returning home though. The other thing I wish it had is battery regeneration but that is a controller issue. I am not even certain the Bafang geared hub drives can even do it but it would be nice to be able to recover some of that energy used going uphill. I will also add the weight balance of this bike is perfect for me and I hit a lot of jumps just fine. I can add the tires are not very good for gravel and sand though and slip a lot. If I deflate them they work better but it decreases milage. I also added inside each tire rim protectors from a 26-inch wheel but mounted it outside the tube to help prevent flats. If someone wants to do this I advise using rubber glue to lightly fix it to the tire as it moves when inflating the tube. So far no problems and they apparently work. Repairing the rear tire is somewhat difficult and requires carrying the necessary wrench for the wheel nuts which are huge. You also need a knife or wire cutters for the 5 zip ties. I am replacing the zip ties with velcro cable ties. The tires are very soft so not resistant to small sharp objects and the Kevlar protectors seem to be a good solution. The tires are also really noisy on roads which is cool as pedestrians hear me coming a long way off. I almost never have to use the horn.
When I park anywhere in public a lot of guys come over and stare at it. So far, I haven't attracted the attention of the police as I do keep it below 25 kph on roads so as to appear legal. Also, the motors are labeled so that the actual power isn't displayed. But frankly, here the larger problem is people riding massive scooters at 50 kph (without helmets or any protective gear which to me seems suicidal) so a bicycle at 25 kph isn't on their radar. Off-road anything goes as long as it is electric and I have passed several rangers who give me the stink eye but I am legal. Here off-road motorbikes are illegal and this is pretty close to a 250 cc dirt bike in performance.
@@borschelrh 95% of ebikes under 3k would have some issues with ur commuting my guy. indiana jones would have problems go to work there. i weight 120kg, and 187cm. few times i borrow it from a friend and it goes very very well of road. as long as i dont try to ride it like a dirt bike. in a normal commute, on road off road mixed, it performs very vey well even at my weight. and i never felt fear about its stability. it feels like i could put a person on my back and still will goes well.

I don’t know how tall you are but can’t help noticing that with the saddle up high enough to get full leg extension, your arms are at full stretch down to the bars.
That rack should have been placed further back so it can clear the seat in case you mount a crate or basket.
The hack is huge, and there is some room to move it around. :) tks
