France just beat Belgium 1- 0 with France scoring another own goal. They now only have three goals so far in the EURO and two of them are own goals and the other is a penalty kick from Kylian Mbappe. Is Kylian Mbappe just having a rough patch or is he not as good as advertised?
Portugal just barely beat Slovenia in a penalty shootout. Portugal and England are also struggling. As is Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Harry Kane, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Could we see an early exit from either of these sides?

Is mbappe as good and as productive as we think?
I don't believe in fickle analysts. Mbappe didn't start doing what he does this year, the fact that he's statistically the best player in the world is not up for debate (of course Messi and Ronaldo don't count), what is up for debate is who has had the best season per year and that depends on a number of factors.
@@grettfc France are trying to win the tournament, Mbappe is gladly paying the price for that. Mbappe himself said that he would've gladly traded a WC final hattrick for a win in 2022 via an Argentina own goal

Vinícius Júnior is the best player in the world and the only reason people are slow to admit it is because they prematurely took some nonsensical hard stances against him which they now find difficult to move from. @@KaidenKnox11 Lol a simple google search could have helped here. Out of the seven only 2 were Penalties. He scored 5 NPG. I made a mistake in assists. He has 3, 4 & 1 assists in those three seasons. Mbappe is always overrated. FYI, I rate Vini much higher than Mbappe and I am a Barca supporter.

The fact that in absolutely, but absolutely, every best player in the world, GOAT or ballon d'or Messi is obsessively mentioned by absolutely everyone(positively or negatively) it shows only one thing and it's a paradox: actually Messi can't be compared with anyone. He is the best that football has ever seen and probably will never see again in the next 5000 years.
It also shows how insecure are all the people that are not Messi fans and always try to prove that he is not the best by bringing some irrelevant stats or comparing him with average players like this case.
To be honest, is a joy to see, but I kinda have enough.

Related to Mbappe: in my opinion he stopped being the best player in the world when he extended his contract with PSG. And his prime faded somewhere in 2018 after World Cup.

I litterally texted my friends when the game almost ended, to sub kane and bellingham out, but than they scored. Their performance was just poor in the match. They just scored tbh. The players don't compliment each other....You can have all the talent in the world but the players have to fit with each other.
The problem is people look at the talent and not how long they have been playing together, France have (6) players with over 50 caps compare to Argentina with (9) and those or not bench players but starters. If you look at The starting lineup for France they only have (2) out field players playing on the same team and that was Mbappe and Dembélé.
Spain may have players with less caps but most play for the same club.

Both of England and Portugal’s problems respectively in major tournaments remain the same. It’s a talented squad with a lot of very good players, but when it comes to their managers, they have very poor tactics no cohesion or balance and they’re only bailed out by luck and individual brilliance and they don’t play well as a team. Football isn’t FIFA, you can’t just play the best 11 players and expect yourself to all of a sudden click and I think that’s the problem that both of those teams have.

In my opinion mbappe suffers from success. When you watch him perform at his highest level, he is better than anyone in the world at their highest level, but this euro he’s just been bad. He’s made good choices, has done good things, but his execution has just been poor. Idk if it’s cuz the euros have gotten to his head, or maybe the playstyle deschamps has chosen doesn’t compliment Mbappe, or maybe it’s the mask he has to wear, but Mbappe is missing chances he would normally get on target 9/10, and he’s being a sloppy passer. I wouldn’t say he’s the best player in the world, but I also wouldn’t say anyone else is definitely better than him at the moment.
How can you say that he is the best in Euros when you said it yourself that he has been off the mark? I'd argue Nico and Yamal both look better than him in this tournament. Though that's not saying much; nobody has been outwardly outstanding in the tournament.

Mbappe was never that good but the he is so media inflated. He is not as good as everybody claims. Messi and ronaldo have raised the bar so high i dont even think lamine yamal and endrick will reach their peak. No football player deserves to be called the best itw.
