No kidding. There's some pretty filthy content ON regular tv nowadays. You have to ask yourself what's in that book that can't even be aired on the news like that. I had walked into an auto shop where they had a regular tv going. No cable, just regular tv. There was a full on commercial for a razor company talking about shaving pubic hair for example. I was just like... Whaaaaat? The tv shows and even so called children's shows are sexually suggestive. Pedophiles. That's what these people are. Go after Diddy... fine. Go after the school boards and the teachers. They're all a bunch of Diddys, too. I can't believe they're hocking pornography in the public school system. No you know what? I CAN BELIEVE IT. I can. My sister as a young adult in her early 20's used to read trashy romance novels, but the books these schools are allowing in their libraries make her little "love" novels look like the 1980's Smurfs cartoon in comparison. There's only one reason why they'd expose children to this, and it's the same reason pedophiles introduce this kind of content to children. The two are one in the same.
How about when teachers are subjected to your child vomiting “F” bombs in the classroom and that student says my mom doesn’t consider that a bad word!?!
The school representative saying that parents shouldn't have control over what other students read. But they should have control over what THEIR children read.
I agree with that mother, and I believe a great number of parents in Las Vegas do to. Shame on all those teachers, remember you are just teachers not parents of the kids in your classrooms. We parents decide on what moral issues need to be taught to our kids.
Was they assigned to dance in stripper clubs too ? Those assignments need to be on syllabus contract before this stuffs can transpire later in the school term.
Oh no! Sexual content? How horrible! /s Unless it's something like sexual assault, I don't _care._ Give them some ACTUAL explicit stuff, like abuse and autobiographies of soldiers, or stuff like Ane Frank's Diary.
Hold up. I've read that book in middle. I'm an adult now. I'm fine. I pay my taxes, I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, I support my family...The book is fine.
If they have to censor it on the News then it is not appropriate for 7th graders.
The sentence that said, it’s to sexually explicit to show on TV should explain it all

Award winning filth, fantastic!
Exactly! That mother is right! If sex ed provides a permission slip that should too!!
Sex Ed doesn’t require a permission slip
That was back in the 90’s
They are teaching kindergarten classes about sex today 😢
@@Irish176actually some schools do still require a permission slip.
Teaching filth in public schools #parentsprotectyourchildren
The media made it seem like book banning was a new thing in Florida. I had no idea that this was taking place almost 7 years ago in Nevada.
Shamika loves black tootsie rolls and Lincoln logs and Darius loves to show his snake.
The PARENTS absolutely CAN impose their values in their school district
That snotty teacher works for the Parents

That administrators attitude is why parents DO need to determine if books should be in the school library.

Wow, the host facial expression shows disdain for the parents
Democrats believe these books are good for kids to read. Who did you vote for mom?
Meanwhile this was going on during Trump's presidency as well. Try independent thinking and get out of your political cult.

I was assigned this same thing in 9th grade...
I think I was assigned it too, or something similar. I was disappointed the main character didn't actually exist tbh.
Who wrote this crap and who put it in the library
