What an excellently detailed model, it almost comes to life. I had to look closely to determine it WAS NOT real. The figures, not moving, gave it away. Super job. ;-)

Everything is period correct, the coal dust on everything, the shading, everything is perfect. I would watch these videos every week if possible but I know it takes a lot of work, but you could have your own show on RUclips!

I'm definitely not a signal expert but I've been meaning to ask, why did the train coming from the mine have to stop for the other train if they are on different tracks? I thought that the through train was going to cross over but it never did.

probably the best O gauge vid I've ever seen. As a fan of anthracite coal I wish I could accomplish 1/500 of this detail. And yes, as everyone said the sound makes it that much better

Beautiful work and detail. It’s your railroad and run it as you like. B&O/C&O ran GP 7/9s long hood forward as their engineer stands faced that way, so short hoods ran most time back to back. Running short hood forward was a backup move w/ engineer facing away from stand and placing him away from the signals. Gp30s were their first short hood forward orientation. Looks be your work.

Only in O scale can you get that type of ‘mass motion’ I call it. Yes, with techniques you can do it in smaller, but O scale ‘feels’ the part in person…

First time viewer here. My atlas o gauge track is layed but my 18 by 24 ft trainboard is flat with no trees, hills. My many proto 1 mth steam engines with no speed contols, were no fun on 3 percent grades up & down an 8 ft long elevated section so I removed all the elevated sections. Did you use insulation or only sculptamold to create you hills under those trees and for rock faces? Im will add a 15 ft oval elevated run, hand miunting the engines each time, with difficulty since my steam stuff is really heavy. Gary j
