Atlas O C&O SD-40
Просмотров 2 тыс.Год назад
This is a custom paint job using Tru-color paints (B&O blue, B&O yellow) on an Atlas O SD-40. The engine was stripped down to the frame, 18oz of weight added, motors wired in sequence, led lights installed on 9V battery power, lettered with Microscale decals, and reassembled prior to weathering.
Fairmont Sub Layout Tour ! O Scale 2R
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
Finally took the time to create a layout tour. I am a novice movie maker, so this is really the best I can do. Opening credit picture is by Bill Brennan from 69' on the West End. The slide is from my collection. The layout is set in 1965-68' and is based on a fictitious B&O line between Cumberland and Columbus OH with Fairmont WV as a major set-out point along the way. Lines radiate from Fairmo...

Cumberland 94 Delayed- O Scale
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.3 года назад
Cumberland 94 was a bi-weekly freight that travelled between Parkersburg WV and Cumberland MD in the 1960's. Here we find our train delayed near Fairmont WV as crews do some maintenance on the Monongahela river bridge. Model Highlights: Engines: The engines are Atlas F3's I have had boxed for quite some time so they are making their debut. I rewired for sequential DC service, added weight and w...

Deep In The Mountains of West Virginia O Scale HD
Is there an upcoming open house. It would be an incredible privilege to see this
Phenomenal and just outstanding. B&O 102 ran through my hometown of Cambridge, OH... Really love seeing this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THANK YOU for posting.
New subscriber. Your basement is massive and the layout just incredible. The action is great and I love the B&O position-light signals. This video is excellent and I look forward to more. Great job.
Excellent x 3!!!There’s no doubt that the “feel” of O scale has so much more WOW to it than the smaller scales! And when mixed with your spot on weathering, it just pops! Hope to see more vids from you in the near future, but meanwhile, I’ll busy myself playing catch-up with your previous vids!
Outstanding. Beautiful work.
That is a work of art
Absolutely mind blowing. 🤯
1:32 if that fool isn't careful he's gonna lose a leg! Ouch!
GREAT STREETS CONCRETE PATCHES etc WEATHERING ON THE AUTOS ( SO MUCH NEGLECTED IN MODELING ) ... WHAT KIND OF FREIGHT TRUCKS ?
YOUR MODELING IS TRULY SOME OF THE BEST I.VE EVER SEEN IN ANY SCALE WEATHERING TRACKWORK BUILDINGS etc ... O SCALE 2 RAIL IS ALIVE AND WELL THANKS TO GUYS LIKE YOU KEEP SHARING THANKS .....
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEOS SO INSPIRATIONAL AMAZING WORKING ON MY OWN 2 RAIL LEHIGH VALLEY AREA .....
I remember riding my bicycle downtown in the early 50s to watch Street work of the Springfield Suburban switching several places. Was originally an interurban streetcar line. Picked up cars at an interchange NYC on one end and DT&I at the other. My grandfather rode the inter urban to work with his carpenter chest. Sure brought back memories, thanks BobS
Great layout!! I like the piggy back lead by the GP-30's
Ok 75 times, gorgeous ! I don´t know why you choose that era, but 👍. Shorter cars and locos = tighter curves & turnouts to save space and more cars for same ltrain lenght create a more realistic illusion. Try that with modern big units and autorack. 2 forty feet boxcars are shorter than an autorack. Old downtown buildings are pretty high and squeze down train size. Specially in that S curve. Modern steel warehouses won´t make the same effect. Finally no nonsens freight cars and buildings covered by pseudo artists with tags. Ah the good old days.... I need to look at it a second time.❤
Any New Videos of your Outstanding Layout for 2024? I Sure Hope So.
Have a bunch filmed and just need to add the sound....stay tuned.
@Industrialmodels2 Great 👍. I'm looking forward to them. I'm always checking. Have a Great Week.
Wow! 👌🙂, It's fantastic as a video, congratulations to the team for this beautiful network and thank you!
Love the patch in the thumbnail
probably the best O gauge vid I've ever seen. As a fan of anthracite coal I wish I could accomplish 1/500 of this detail. And yes, as everyone said the sound makes it that much better
This is absolutely top notch modeling. Even for O scale, which is so hard to make prototypical, you’ve managed to trick me into thinking I’m watching a real train. Incredible work.
Love the superelevation of the curve. Well done!
This video seriously blew my mind- it felt very immersive- the lighting is perfect, the scenery is gorgeous, and the sounds are fantastic! What a treat.
Outstanding. May I ask what you used for rod rollers in your interlocking?
I just used brass wire....email me and I will send you some closeup pics.... dsmith041@maine.rr.com
So nice!
Perfect 🛤🛠🤩👍. Like the Original 👍
I would darken the ballast a bit. I didn't enjoy the roof parade. The Cars on the Road should be moving or otherwise parked somewhere. Nice video.
Really neat operation and layout! As an underground miner, I especially like the miner figures with the hardhats and overalls, very realistic.
You see very few O-Scale layouts showing the depth of prototypical attention to the minute aspects' of the scene. You have captured that feeling in spades; along the the intertwined prototypical sounds of your videos! Talk about immersion! I have a question - probably a few, but for time-sake just 1. I was wondering at TS 10:28 is that a scale track? If if was, it would be neat if you could do the gauntlet-style track arrangement. If you could have one of the digital readout panel on the facia that would kick it up a few notches.
Hi Colin....yes exactly! Its supposed to look like a modern scale track recently installed but I couldn't really figure out how to best do the moveable gauntlet track so I just ran some rails down the center and called it "good". I may go back and rebuild it at some point as a fun project but for now its going to have to be an imaginary scale. Would be cool to install something that actually weighed the cars and gave a readout on a side panel. Greta idea. Those Atlas coal cars are heavy. :)
Love the interlaced prototypical sounds!
COOLEST O SCALE LAYOUT I HAVE EVER SEEN!
It's nice to see the last of the good days of the B&O and a little street running. You've brought history to life with your impeccable layout.
I do wish you'd upload more often. I wish YT's algorithms wouldn't take forever to show your channel. I love all things B&O, real or modeled. Especially the B&O in West Virginia. This layout is phenomenal. O scale, when done correctly, really shows the weight and girth of your rolling stock and engines in ways smaller scales just can't duplicate.
Extremely well executed video and great weathering! I was just watching a real video of Sand Patch grade. This video has same level of quality.
This street running switching scene along with the sounds brings back memories of rare catches with B&O and PRR/PC switchers working Pratt St. and Boston/Fleet Sts., respectively, in Baltimore City back in the 1970s. The sounds of the trains echoing off buildings and flanges squealing on tight radius curves are exactly what I experienced back then.
Lots of rules broken on this day. 😊. Hopefully they don’t get fined for handling dangerous chemicals without proper placards. The FRA takes that very seriously. In all seriousness. Beautiful layout. Love the sound over dubbing and just the shear operation of that layout.
Super, thanks for sharing, please at 7.26 : seems to be like in Duel Spielberg first movie, just need an orange color car, and a bad rusty truck behind ! so nice, take care dear fellow : )
Impeccable!!!!!!! Keep ‘em coming.
Very nice! Love the prototype sounds. Gorgeous rolling stock. Thx for sharing!
EXCELLENT!!!!
1:48 with the perfectly synchronized sound effects is thrilling!
Astonishing. The opening shot looks like a scene from a movie. The streets are even damp!
Just amazing....

I love O Scale 2 Rail it’s the only way to fly. Do you ever have open house to the public and wonder what state do you live in.
Oh, man, Don! Now you’ve done it! Walter Wanderly’s “Summer Samba” was on the radio in dad’s ‘56 Olds when I said “Daddy let’s watch the train!” We stopped and watched a B&O freight here in New Castle, PA. Oh what a time it was…
WOW this is just fantastic!
This is my favorite o scale layout! Inspirational
Incredible, just incredible! Excellent sound matching the train speed, the hot summer night crickets, so realistic - Thank you!
"EXTRA"
Another fantastic video. Hand's down the best coal country layout I've seen. If you don't mind, would you share the make/model #s of some of the B&O diesels you're running?
Sure, all engines are Atlas O DC with motors wired in series and 20oz of weight added. Most are custom painted with Tru color paints and microscale decals.
The GP30s are Lionel shells on Atlas Gp35 frames.
Thank you for that info!
