I am old enough to remember watching Sonny & Cher, Carol & Friends even HeeHaw, real game shows and more! I’m also old enough to have watched and loved Saturday Night Live while babysitting! Eddie Murphy as Buckwheat .. blues brothers .. oh I could go on! Thanks for this!
I’ve seen a lot of full episodes of Carol Burnett when they were originally aired and I’ve seen a lot here on RUclips but I have never seen this skit before. Thank you for uploading it.
OMG! I had an experience just like this on the $20,000 Pyramid in the mid-70's, except my beautiful celebrity (when I could have had the sharp AND beautiful Kate Jackson just one game later) was terribly contrite about continually saying the answer in her clues (three times!). During a break, she said she was so nervous about playing the game. I'm thinking, "She's on TV every week and SHE'S nervous?" At the beginning of this, I'm thinking, "That looks like Dennis Weaver, but it can't be Dennis Weaver. He's playing the overly cheerful game show host better than a real overly cheerful game show host. On the other hand, it's not Lyle Waggoner either." But it _was_ Dennis Weaver! Great job. I wish Carol's name in the skit has been Mrs. Dillon. Sadly, he is gone, but the two talented ladies, are, of course, still with us, and appeared together just last week on the Carol Burnett birthday tribute.
When Cher did, pa pa pa paaa… with the fake boobs… When she throws herself back over the chair, to bring the mountains to the ceiling… I died laughing. Good comedy chops, Cher. Carol is genius, as always.
Cher's " Pa-pa-pa PAAA !" was not the " 1812 " , it was the opening notes of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Maybe the wrong name was the joke...? 😊 . Carol is always so good ! 🇬🇧😊🇬🇧💕🇺🇸🦉🥀😊🐏
Do you listen to Kathleen Madigan’s pubcast by any chance? One feature is a weekly update on the queens, including Cher, Dolly, Anita Baker, and Stevie Nicks.
Love that Carol Burnett. What a great classic. Never saw this one which I can’t believe it. Thought I’d seen them all. I can still laugh at her antics even if I’ve seen it a million times. A priceless Lady.
Dennis was married fir a few days to Michelle Phillips. She never says why it only lasted a few days. But she was in lots of other relationships. So who knows.
@@jayniekinser7029 No, he wasn't. You're full of baloney. He married Gerry Stowell in 1945, and they were married for 61 years. Michelle Phillips was married 3 times, and none of them were Dennis Weaver, a man who married about the time Michelle was born!
You know that Vicki Lawrence used to do a damn good job of playing the real $25,000 and $100,000 Pyramid. Remember when she got pissed off and walked out on everybody in the middle of taping? During Valentines Week 1987?
Wow, so happy to see this, thanks for posting! Here is a classic example of three outstanding performers making a poorly written sketch actually seem funny! Cher, Carol, and the underrated Dennis Weaver……well done !
Thought I was the only one that remembered that. Another one from that era kind of similar was 'Trapped' with James Brolin. I was a kid, and it made me afraid of Dobermans.
Wow! The writing is lackluster but the acting is so good that I questioned whether or not you had written the description incorrectly and posted wrong video because there’s no way that was Cher. Man she’s good.❤
I've always wanted to see this sketch again! Thanks for the post! But I thought it was on "The Carol Burnett Show", not "Cher". Did I misremember this? 😊
Thank you for posting this video. I've never seen it before, and it really showcases Cher's comedic talent. Classic Carol Burnett. The good old days.
Only one that could compare is Lucy
the VERY Good old days.. when Talent & Entertainment was..Real.
No one can yell in frustration like Carol and the faces she makes are hilarious too.
I just love how much Cher is enjoying throwing her fake chest around 🤣
They stuck out so far! during the day they'd get awful "sonny"!
@@kenhurley4441 he could've found shade under them.....

I grew up with you. Even though we don’t know each other. It was a fun time watching tv
Great tv shows.
Just reminds everybody how incredibly talented Cher is!! Her body language--hilarious. I wish she would make more movies, she's so good.
Another good game show, and Tom Kennedy did a fine job with it.
Cher is such a talent...she doesn't even sound like herself in this.
I've not seen this before
What a priceless piece
We forget what a great comedian Cher really was in these skits
I had no idea that Dennis Weaver was so good at sketch comedy 😊
Classic Carol Burnett and Cher , I needed that laugh and she was such a great comedian. 👀♥️💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Cher was perfect …
writing was perfect …
Carol was perfect, too …

This skit was not on Carol's show. It was on Cher's.

My first thought was, "Lyle Waggoner will probably play the host." Then I thought it might be real-life host Dennis James.
Classic.... Great to see Dennis Weaver having silly fun.
I’ve never seen this one before. It’s funny since Cher drives Carol crazy.

Could not stop laughing. Both great actresses😂
Love Carol Burnett. She had the best comedy variety show!
Cher the queen did a fantastic job on this.

Both so very funny / had to laugh all the way through - love them both / today 2023 Cher is 76 Carol is 90 bless them both ❤🇦🇺😎
Cher did good in this character
Good ol Dennis Weaver
Dennis was married fir a few days to Michelle Phillips. She never says why it only lasted a few days. But she was in lots of other relationships. So who knows.
from where I'm sitting this looks like Burt Reynolds. he can play boring too, even though he''s so supper sexy

They should have showed a clip from this at her 90th birthday celebration
That would have been fantastic.👌👍👍😂😂😍
Nothing like this on TV today!
Came for Cher but stayed for Dennis Weaver. I've never seen him do comedy. This was hilarious!😆
This was the most fun I have ever seen Cher be. Played it perfect 👍🏼.
I just love laughing with Carol & Cher😂😂😂

She has Farrah Fawcett hair
On steroids.
Love This 👏❤️⭐
Thanks Bunches for Sharing This
An E. Howard Hunt reference - it doesn’t get much more inside ‘70s than that.

How terrific! Love it! Lol
My favorite two woman Icons love them both
Love!! ❤️ 😍
Mind Blown!!!
Two of my faves from the 70’s. ❤❤
🤣🤣🤣1812 overture! (Full with cannons)
Cher did a surprisingly good ditzy blonde.
And didn't she do the intro to Beethoven's 5th?
But always actually brunette.
( Chad Michaels voice) “Dammit, I am an Oscar Winner!”
Happy, happy day and year. ❤🎉 smile.
Cher, you never age. You are gorgeous as you were back in the beginning of your amazing career
Thank you for posting this I never seen this❤
I love CAROL BURNETT…every episode is hilarious. 🙃😆🥳💫
Dennis Weaver
Cher
Carol
🤗
Love Dennis Weaver
Wow Cher 😮😮😮 🔥
Both brilliant!
Not unlike playing Pyramid with Joey Tribbiani.
Love me some Carol Burnette
Ironic that Carol is from Marionbad ...Marion was her name in Better Call Saul....she is so versatile and funny!!!!
She was also Marion on As the Stomach Turns
Isn't that guy the one that was in the movie with the truck called dual
Yes the tv-film was "Duel" and was directed by Steven Spielberg
@Chris Hoff *Duel*
Dennis Weaver. Chester. Gunsmoke.

Dennis Weaver ❤
The 1812 Overture but hummed Beethoven's 5th 🤷
Classic!! 😂

A little bit of Eunice slipped out!

I barely recognized Cher!
Is that Dennis Weaver ?
Funny. But so frustrating for the contestant. Lol... miss these old shows.
Lmao 😂
One forgets Dennis Weaver was an actor. I just thought he was McCloud.
Hahaha! He was an excellent actor. Think of the movie Duel.
@@curiouslyme524 what about Gentle Ben? Not easy to act alongside a hungry bear and cranky pre-ad Howard.
When tv and comedy where fun. Not the stuff we see today.
A vintage “Karen” skit
What Was It That Made People Look So Much Older?
Dennis weaver...
40% tax in America fir winning.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cher was wonderfully annoying.
oh sorry judd642009 I meant the thumb up there, how silly of me. this is one of the most funniest ones I've seen in decades
