- In this custom guitar project, I transform a bass guitar from its original form to the vision I came to with the client. Stephen Flam's first band was Winter:

When we talked about making a new custom guitar, we discussed getting one exactly set up for his preferences and he got this new Warwick 5 string bass. I customized the guitar to the new design.
Remember Trolls: use your baby voice when you comment!
love and respect!
enjoy! Хобби
Commission: "I'ma need a ridiculously overbuilt bass for a gig at the Thunderdome that might go south in a hurry."
Jimmy: "Say no more, fam."
Troll voice. "That guitar is going to be too heavy with all that metal."
Heavy Metal!
Somebody spent hours designing and building a precision instrument - then Jimmy tore it down and added weight. 🤦
More man hours probably went into the mods than actually making the bass.
@@ChrisPage68 Jimmy does what Jimmy does, result is awesome
Lol, I can hear that voice as I read your quote.
It is a beuty but as they said "heavy metal" !!!
I would love to listen to it with a proper ! May be the proud owner will post .
Absolutely gorgeous. Hats off there Mr. Diresta, real work of art.
Especially like the soft corners on the pickups. The contrast of beautiful wood and hard steel is great.
Very apocalyptic.
When I first started watching this video I was like oh my gosh what are you doing to a perfectly good bass guitar? Then watching it come together and seeing the final product I'm like wow that is killer! :-). Nice job dude
This just made my morning. Excellent job! Love the contrast between the steel and wood. Cool idea executed like a boss!
I can't believe I never thought of drilling a hole before using a router to avoid having to use a plunge cut.
I actually tilt the router a little And rock back and forth with it until I reach the depth
Amazing! Love watching years of experience and problem solving use to making something truly unique!
You never cease to amaze us Mr. DiResta. Beautiful Work!
very good Jimmy, one day I wish I could give my son such a masterpiece.💯💯💯💯👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Great video. It's been a great ride watching you develop your metal working skills over the years.
Been waiting for this one ...it didn't disappoint!! 👍👍🔥🔥 The way you used the bandsaw to shape the body....wow, so cool!
Félix
Absolutely amazing, from the experience to know welding over this wood guitar will be fine, to placing screws to hold the sides evenly by eye. And, of course, you can play the bass.
Extraordinary master piece .... magnificent !
That is an awesome makeover! It’s been on my list to make a guitar and after watching this I’m moving it up my list! Beautiful! Thanks for your inspiration!!!

Very cool. My 5 month old especially liked the welding he kept looking all the way through ☺️
The musician side of me is screaming "NOOOO" and "Oh geez, be careful there that's gotta be precise!" through this whole thing. The DiResta viewing side of me is saying "yeah, hit it with the little hammer!"
best comment..

diresta be like "imma do everything with my bandsaw"
And it works quite well
I dig that.

If you have the right bits you can build a house with a dremmel!!!

He has an awesome bandsaw!
About damn time you made a video about a guitar or bass!
Great job👍👍👍👍😍
Man I love your bandsaw skills, but I love everything you do. Addict to your channel. Cheers mate.

That's a damn fine looking bass you made there.
Guy from Warwick: “That’s cool and all, but you know it’s going to void the warranty, right?
Diresta: “And....?”
I hope your client can play the bass is good as it looks.
