- Опубликовано: 27 авг 2019
- It was an honor working with Carhartt and Guinness to build 3 custom-made bars to support Team Rubicon - a veteran-led disaster relief organization. #ad
2 of the bars are headed to Team Rubicon’s volunteer centers, and the 3rd will be auctioned off to further support the organization.
You can check out the bars now and enjoy a Guinness x Carhartt Labor Day Lager while its still available, at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, MD. 100% of the proceeds from the beer will go straight to Team Rubicon. The bars will be there til Sept. 15th.

... thank you for the saw mill ✊🏻✊🏻
Please enjoy Guinness responsibly
Am I the only one, who when it switches to slow motion, is expecting something to break?
chewwy07 nope, I’m the same way....just waiting for the destruction!
Same here.
Appetite for Destruction. I do have and it's a fantastic album!
@@MCsCreations Lotta great songs on that album. \m/
yeah
I'm glad the company's that hire you really understand the craftsmanship they get , great build bravo
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that this build had it all.
Metal work, wood work, a bit of leather, hand tools, some awesome old skool tools, CNC. It’s literal had everything.
Jimmy, you truly are a very skilled craftsman.
Yes!! Midweek Diresta (and Brett) build - talk about inspiration! Making your own steering mechanism, making your own hinges, forging your own handles, etc, etc.
Love it.
Always learning something new with your videos Jimmy, the jigs you come up with are genius!
When I was a student I'd been working with a welder, who was making things like this. Now I'm a teacher and absolutely love my profession, but Lord how I miss those days!! There is just something about being a craftsman doing creative projects with heavy machinery. On the other hand, working in a factory is something I want to forget. It is mind-murdering and ppl are too simple.
1. Metal working
2. Welding
3. Wood working
4. Leather working
5. Machining
6. CNCing
7. Blacksmithing
Jeezus. Want to leave a little talent for the rest of us?
8. Sewing
9. Playing the bagpipes
10. Cement render
And that's just in this video!
The welding is nearly always horrible.
Bravo! Such a combo of ruggedness like it could be hauled across country & turn up looking even better for the trip with such beautiful Fibonacci spirals & harp music of the Emerald Isle & a sense that all the fineness of life & art is built upon the rugged work of heat on steel, fast sharp steel on wood & all carried by the natural rubber of trees as nature carries us all. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely one of the cooler projects you've made in a long time.
It's the touches like the twisted handle and the inlay on top and stuff like that, that sets your work apart.
Team Rubicon is an amazing group. Carhartt and Guinness supporting them!? Its a trifecta of awesome! Excellent work as usual Jimmy!
Jimmy, that sacrificial layer on your CNC is looking prime for a colored epoxy resin project. Some gnarly patterns in there.
Yes! Was thinking the same thing, what cool patterns. Didn't think about the use of epoxy, like it!
OR it could be a woodblock for a sweet, huge printmaking project
Was about to type same thing lol
Jimmie, you inspire myself and others. You are true salt of the earth. Thank you .
That tractor PTO driven saw mill was quite possibly the coolest lumber cutting mill, maybe even piece of history, I’ve seen shared on your channel. I think you need one!
I love "grade 8's" ! ! ! ! I don't care if you need them or not. I use them whenever possible......and sometimes not possible. 13"26...Now you're just showing off :))) Another great build, Thank you Jimmy !
Totally off the chart workmanship going on there Jimmy! Great work for a good cause & as a Veteran myself I can relate.
Two things Jimmy....1. could you do a quick video about how you got that wicked belt sander and 2. could you talk about pricing the things that you make and how you decide the final price...thanks for all the great things you do!!!
That is some belt sander! OT: anyone think of forum or site I can list some saw sharpening machinery (a neighbor used to sharpen handsaws, etc.. wanted to help him)
I watched the whole video in silence, just watching and absorbing. Once the video concluded, the only thing I had to say was "Damn."
There is nothing else to say.
Kudos Jimmy.
È un piacere vederti all'opera con legno e metallo. Bravo!!!
Jimmy, this is the kind of stuff that made guys like me subscribe to your channel all those years ago.
Outstanding craftsmanship and video quality.
Magnificent. The carts have a medieval style and those on the side look like heraldic coats of arms
I'm Irish and I approve this video Jimmy :) nice work
"Hey, Jimmy, they're saying your old timey machines are really cool, but pretty dangerous; that you should be careful."
"Oh yeah? Let's go rip some planks."
So many elements to those bars.
I love the rustic look with the hand-forged handles, the old-looking wood and rusted metal. So great!
Jimmy! I just saw the commercial!! Thank you so much for being a part of this project!!! #teamrubicon
The breadth of skills in this video is incredible. Truly inspirational.
Tapping the whole range of disciplines there... Great stuff. Thanks.
On behalf of all the Team Rubicon volunteers, thank you for making these. Hope I get to see one at the next TR Op. #teamrubicon #teamrubiconusa #GSD
Humbling to watch such an amazing artist.
Jonathan Weis / Jonathan's Automotive Repair thank you 🙏🏼
I have been following this channel for years and years. Funny how I see how it has change my approach towards working. I was the classical joiner doing fine woodworking and sanding and finishing bottoms of my drawers, these days my approach is that since no one will see it I'll DiResta them. And same with everything else. Somehow workflow has been pumped up and stress lowered down over the years. Everything has to look nice and be top notch quality, but those trivial aspects... nah. Just DiResta them. Nice work as always 👍
Plataani hahah thank you 👊🏼
Jimmy, your work is amazing. You continue to be an inspiration to all makers who watch your videos.
Your guys talent never ends !! I have never seen a belt sander like you had in this video. What a simple but incredible machine 😍
those axles wont last long in the red bull soap box race.
Agree. Just as a cart in general. But loaded with liquor or beers. People leaning on it. Those wheels gonna snap right off
DiResta = World Heritage
This monster sender still amazes me . Nice bar carts . Thank you Jimmy !
Another 3 great pieces of furniture with all the genius made in Diresta. Very good job 👍
Outstanding multi media execution!!!!
Definitivamente ustedes son unos profesionales los felicito
Great work as always. One tip: cordless impact driver with tap adapter set will tap those holes 10 times faster.
jimmy you are like god in everything you do. I appreciate everything you do and watch all your videos. all the best from Romania
You make it look so easy but the more I learn, the more I know how hard it is. Amazing!
Speechless. As always. You're two steps above anyone, Jimmy.
Please, consider sometime in the future a trip to Europe to do a workshop for us lazy asses that want to learn something from your genius!
Cheers from Italy, mate!
Пацаны, я понял - это эцик без гвоздей, из Кин-Дза-За!
Guys, I'm understand: this is "echik" without nаils, from Kin-Dza-Za! From Russia with love!
Brewery is 20 minutes outside Baltimore, MD in Baltimore County. It is actually within 5 minutes of BWI which is near Halethorpe, MD. MARC train station nearby too so easy commute to the brewery. Awesome place.
I just LOVE work... I can watch it for hours and hours... lol
Awesome craftsmanship! Awesome cause!
I'm a Team Rubicon volunteer. Thanks for the support!
That’s a nice old stroke sander. Haven’t seen one like that for a while. Nothing like ‘em for sanding.
Es un placer mirar tu trabajo....bendiciones...Thanks.
I always pick up a few tips and tricks in all of your videos, today was the board template to make sure the wheel bolts were aligned properly. Just straight genius thank you for sharing and teaching me something new in each and every video!

Excellent bro, DIRESTA the war machine !
Mais um belo trabalho by Jimmy. Abraços from Brasil. The best soccer Internacional de Porto Alegre.
That saw is insane. No dang way I’m standing anywhere near that while it’s running. Holy smokes.
It's called the widow maker. It's run by Lefty.
And I was thinking I need to build one. I have an old 4ft blade a few +100hp tractors. Never occurred to me to combine the two.
@@athhud This is why women live longer than men!
My scary hillbilly uncle in Oklahoma used to have a scary-assed sawmill like that. Terrified me as a kid.
Dude, be a man....
Loved the old saw mill...Thanks Jimmy!!!
The levels of danger at that sawmill are off the charts. Still, what cool carts. Leveraging all that life and limb danger into those is phenomenal work
Good to see that you’re teaching your daughter all the tricks of the trade.
Beautiful work!!! 😀
Also love the fact you just stuck the ground clamp on backwards. And the piece of plastic on the bottom of the cutting oil bottle is genius. Dang things always tip over.
Those are team Rubicon logos and missions on the one end.... Ooohhh my wife is going to be excited when she sees this
Sus videos siempre son una excelencia. Saludos desde Poza Rica, Veracruz; México ¡!
The sawmill is sawstop‘s most recent product!
C Zarth Propably the most dangerous tool in da world.
