      Ricky Alexis it’s not even a dear based doctrine if you warn someone of danger your trying to help them, now people should not be talking down or condemning people while speaking. The Bible says they are already condemned because they are guilty without repentance and faith in Jesus. The Bible whole message is how much God loves us and wants to save us so much that he put himself on the line to atone for what we did and wants to restore our true created value.

    I think focusing on hell is such a distraction. If you focus on your relationship with God and obeying his commandments, you wouldn’t even be worried about Hell. It’s just not a concern.

    The holy Bible says that the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. It's in 1 or 2 Timothy. We are in the great apostasy even now!

    Carlton,,, your theology is off course now. Hell is real, And even though Jesus did pay the price for everybody to receive salvation, its NOT automatic. One must receive this FREE gift of their own free will. If someone rejects the LOVE of God, which is Jesus on the cross, then they are choosing of their own free will to go to hell. and even though the price has been paid in full already, they'll still go to hell.

    I want to watch this video with an open mind... I do agree with Pearson in the fact that... Church people have set up so many rules and regulations... sanctioning some things, and discarding others.. with alot of stuff having nothing to do with scripture, or totally against scripture.... Even on the topic of how we receive salvation, is such a crazy topic.. different denominations believe certain things in order to be "saved"... There are alot of mistranslations from the original script to the KJV, and it's worth looking into...

      For instance in Matt 5:28 Jesus says, "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." People take this to mean "DO NOT LOOK AT A WOMAN BECAUSE SHE IS PRETTY AND FEEL SEXUALLY AROUSED". What it actually means is "Who ever looks at a mans wife to COVET her, he has already decided to commit adultery in his heart with her". The translation here is faulty due to time and he meaning of the word "lust" changing. Considering now that this verse has been grossly misunderstood due to faulty translation and the distortion of the word lust over time, one has every right to consider what else is there to beware of!

      The book of Timothy says to study the word of God to show yourself approved rightfully dividing the word of God, it's not about what people say it's about what God says, God will never give men the glory, it people don't want to live saved it's because of doubt and unbelief religion has nothing to do with it even Jesus says that...

      Research the history of the Bible and the many translation, if your so uncertain research the original text in Hebrew find your own answers. Stop relying on others to interpret things for you. Start searching and God will open your understanding. Ask ......ask then seek and knock and the doors of understanding will be open to you. Matthew 7:7 Solomon asked for wisdom and received what he asked for wisdom ....ask for understanding.... then seek it as if you were searching for gold and he'll open up your understanding to the truth in his word. If you don't know Hebrew learn it.

    First of all when he said that when you worship God because of fear of going to hell, than you don't truly love him, I think that that's 100% true, kind of like staying in a relationship with someone because you are afraid that they are going to kill you.
    Also I think that a metaphorical hell is totally possible. Jesus spoke of many things in metaphors in the scripture. I am personally in a situation where I am seeking Christ because I am in hell right now, not because I am afraid that I am going there.
    I say that we should look in our hearts and ask ourselves is it justice that if someone makes a human error and picks the wrong belief that they get eternal damnation? I don't think that this is justice.

    "Hell" is neither a Hebrew or a Greek word (both Old and New Testaments were written in those languages), nor did it primarily indicate "a place of torment." Biblical translators actually derived it from a secular German word - spelled hel - meaning nothing more than concealed or covered. The concept of a demon regulated horror-house was indeed derived from that word, but it actually evolved from Teutonic mythology.

    But, unfamiliar to the Christian majority, the word "hell," in the entire Bible was actually translated from four unique words: Sheol (where the dead are located), Gehenna (a valley in Jerusalem used for dumping refuse), Hades, and Tartarus (place for devil & angels; not humans).

    We can say that there is no hell because of the ever loving and ever merciful nature of God. But I still believe that in order for us to enter Heaven, we must still be worthy. Not perfect bust just worthy to go to heaven.

    8:45 - 9:01... true friends will stay with you is correct. True friends will also warn you, what you're teaching is wrong. You don't stay with a good friend or love one if it means ETERNAL DAMNATION. You can LOVE someone, it doesnt mean you have to agree with them.

    Dangerous? You're right. It is dangerous. To preachers and their wallets. Because once people start to accept the doctrine, people will start to leave the church, mainly because they were miserable as hell in the first place.

    god wants us to learn and grow to reach a deep understanding of ourselves and our connection to everything including the divine. People need to find a personal relatioship with god and not be brainwashed by religious fanatics who are not open to growth and think they are right. They are egotistical- and fear being wrong. I would love to talk to Carlton he is wise and enlightened

      d joe sorry to inform you but the teaching of believing you can do whatever you want without consequences has already been accepted by the majority of Christians when the dangerous doctrines was taught that God’s 10 Commandments were nailed to the cross. The belief that Jesus dying on the cross liberated us from keeping the Law is really even more dangerous. What your statement is saying is that the results of not believing in a real Hell will cause people to believe there is no punishment but the ultimate proof in the Bible that God’s Law cannot be changed is that Jesus himself had to die. We should not want to sin because it brings tears to the eyes of God not because we fear burning. God wants us to obey Him because we love Him not because we are trying to avoid Hell. God will only accept Worship that is by faith not by force.

      PropheticEclipses I believe that because of Jesus death and ultimate resurrection we are no more under law but under grace...scripture says the law was a taskmaster to bring us to Christ...Once we we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior the law is written in our hearts and The Holy Spirit convicts us when we sin...we have a living Faith that actually speaks to us now rather than a dead law that operates under the curse..once we break one we break all...Also now..as a result of Jesus sacrifice of himself for our sins we can obtain forgiveness the moment we sin... through the blood of Jesus ..we no longer have to wait on a high priest and the sacrifice of bulls and goats to atone for our sin...that is if we have a broken spirit and contrite heart after we sin and we repent of our actions. .

    His error was great, when he believed the erroneous teachings of the bible. Now he is correct, teaching a God of love without hatred, wrath, and jealousy as the bible describes God. Pearson needs no forgiveness because he found the right spiritual path and had the courage to follow it.

    because its the humane thing to do. When we do evil we reduce our humanity. Is the notion of hell the only reason you will do good things; is it the only reason you believe in God. If so, you really need to start questioning your beliefs.

    Hell has very little to do with God....and whether he is loving or not. It has everything to do with us...and whether we love God or not.
    Too many Christians define the afterlife as "paradise" or "not paradise." It has little to do with some conceived "paradise."
    Heaven is simply being with God. So naturally...hell would be being without God. How do we get to those places? By wanting God....or not wanting God. In order to get to God....we have to go through Jesus. (at least I believe so)

    The preacher in this interview clearly states that Carlton is going to hell as sure as there is one. Now Carlton empathized with haggards hell. The Bible clearly states and I quote " Let He Who is without Sin Cast the First Stone. So my question is strictly in this interview. Who's wrong!!!!!

    So again....the idea or presupposition most people have when they talk about hell like this is that "God damns people."
    God doesn't damn people....we damn ourselves. "WHERE" we get "damned" to doesn't really matter. We can't somehow transfer the responsibility off ourselves....which is what people typically try to do.
    Everyone just ends up arguing about whose paradise is better and who gets it. That's not what it's about.

    The gospel/Jesus DOES include everyone. However....that's only if we include the gospel/Jesus. If Jesus is the only way to God....then what happens when people do not go through Jesus? I mean....the natural conclusion would be that if there's only one way to get somewhere....then if another way is taken...it won't lead to the same place.
    If Jesus is the only way to get to God. Then when people don't accept the gospel/Jesus...they will not end up with God. So where does that leave them?

      No they dont....so you are implying that you and everyone on earth is tormented day and night 24/7 365 in utter darkness in such severe heat that your thirst cant even quench it under the bowels of the earth? No. and if you say you do,.you are a a liar and are your father the devil. Hell is a specific place. Hell is not on earth. The bible describes what Hell is and what takes place there..and you go against what the word of God says hell is..then you are a fool and are on your way to hell when you die..just like Carlton Pearson:
      (1) Everyone will exist eternally either in heaven or hell (Daniel 12:2,3; Matthew 25:46; John 5:28; Revelation 20:14,15).
      (2) Everyone has only one life in which to determine their destiny (Hebrews 9:27).
      (3) Heaven or hell is determined by whether a person believes (puts their trust) in Christ alone to save them (John 3:16, 36, etc.).
      Key Passages About Hell
      (1) Hell was designed originally for Satan and his demons (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
      (2) Hell will also punish the sin of those who reject Christ (Matthew 13:41,50; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8).
      (3) Hell is conscious torment.
      Matthew 13:50 “furnace of fire…weeping and gnashing of teeth”
      Mark 9:48 “where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched”
      Revelation 14:10 “he will be tormented with fire and brimstone”
      (4) Hell is eternal and irreversible.
      Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”
      Revelation 20:14 “This is the second death, the lake of fire”
      Revelation 20:15 “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”

    1 Tim 2:3,4 says, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have ALL men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth." God WILL have all to be saved. Many people who love the idea of eternal torment would rather that word be "desires" all men to be saved. OK, fine. But here's the fact, God ALWAYS gets what He desires(Isa 46:10). God doesn't have "weak unattainable wishes" like humans do. His desires always come to pass, because He's God, and He's sovereign

    "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." He was talking about body AND SOUL...the soul is eternal and invisible, and cannot be hurt in a literal earthly garbage dump after a soul dies. He's obviously talking about the lake of fire (gehenna) here. Not to be confused with the geographical location just outside of Jerusalem...

    @deliverednow The key to John 3:16 is in trusting in, clinging to, and relying on what CHRIST says, and NOT what Carlton says. And Christ. who IS the Word of God, has been clearly illustrated in the scriptures given. Christ requires repentance (turning you back on sin and obeying God's Word) for the crucifixion to work for you.

    I believe all can be saved just as the scripture says..John 3:16 but if you continue to read the entire chapter you'll be enlightened to know some don't come to the Light because they love darkness. We find peace & rest for our souls when we come to Christ & confess our sins to Him & our faults to others. People may get angry for what you & I have done & we may get angry for what they have done..Lol because we're all so judgmental.

    Found about Carlton Pearson recently when searching for some classic song. I liked his carisma and style of singing but he is gravely wrong to say that hell is not real. Because Jesus warned everybody about hell throughout the gospels.

    Also...It's true that the basic root of "aion" means age. But it is not true that all words from that root mean a finite period of time. The phrase means "unlimited duration of time, with particular focus upon the future - always, forever, forever and ever, eternally." as pointed out in Rev 20:10, and other scriptures.

    This is so sad. Being a pastor or a bishop is not a career move it is a calling from God!
    One pastor said that he was Carlton Pearson's son. God help him, he is supposed to be a servant of God. This is where people are missing it . They are led by the flesh,, their pride and their own understanding . It was best said, if people can do whatever they want to do and still please God then make it heaven. Then why preach, just go out rob a bank, still, kill and destroy! Stop wasting your time in the pulpit taking people's money!
    The same people would not allow someone to come into their own home and do anything they to. Now God is supposed to just let us run a muck? There are consequences in laws to everything

    We ALL have to work out our own salvation with reverence and diligence ...and for this Brother in the Lord, he has perhaps made the mistake of publicly expressing his heart in the presence of unforgiveness and self-righteousness.
    Although, I don't hold to his opinion on the existence of hell I don't judge him nor do I condemn him. He is a Brother in the Lord of incorruptible seed, but to make that statement you err. Re-read Romans 10:6&7 - It is foolish to say where he will spend eternity.

    Every video I've seen that says he said there is no hell, is cutting off the part where he says there is no hell AS we have been taught. Like stop cutting that part of because he is not saying hell does not exist, he is saying it is not the hell that we have been taught. He is not condoning evil or justifying wrong deeds that will lead you to hell. Ya'll just want something negative to say.

    Well I believe in hell but if I die and get to the other side and realize there’s no hell I lose nothing. What if you don’t believe and don’t prepare, you die, get to the other side and realize it’s true afterall WHAT WILL YOU DO? Think! Believe the Bible! You lose nothing.

      There is no definitive verse on hell in the Bible. Most references translated as such are in reference to the physical place called the Valley of Hinnom

    It's so sad this man Carlton Pearson hasn't mentioned Jesus Christ once. He mentions God just not the way we receive salvation and eternity life. I feel bad that this man preaches no he'll. There is a he'll and Jesus is the only way truth and the light. When Carlton talks about the African people I keep thinking "did he go down there and feed the hungry cloth the naked? That's what Jesus would do. No man is my example. The only perfect way to heaven is Jesus. God was Jesus in human form. It's not about man's interpolation of the Bible. It's God telling man what to write. We are not on hell in earth it may feel like it at times but we love in a world of sin. There is reason God gave us 10 rules to start with. They Jesus said the greatest commandment I give you is to love your neighbor as yourself. He is misleading his neighbors. We mist pray that he gives his life back to Jesus because he'll was created for demons not humans. But the humans that reject him will go there. As far as people who haven't heard the word of God I believe God shows mercy.

    I feel like the God in the Bible is not the way God realy is,it's like the fear of going to hell is the reason you have chosen to love and believe in God,if there is no hell would those type of Christians love God,would those type of Christians just love God just cause they love Him.Why the fear of going to hell be the reason why you should fear God more than love Him.Just love God just because you do and not because of trying to avoid hell.

    I get what the guy is saying about different denominations. They get so focused on silly petty things like you can drink wine, you can’t drink wine, you have to worship with music, you can’t worship with music, you can eat meat, you can’t, and then act as if that is what will determine your salvation. They forget that salvation comes from following Jesus Christ, not a bunch a rules, this was addressed in the Bible Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:20. Simply put, If you love and follow Jesus you will do what’s right because of that,, not just follow rules hoping to make yourself righteous on your own. However, it goes back to the same point, salvation comes through Jesus Christ and no other means. The Bible is very clear on this and if you don’t trust the Bible in what it says about hell then you have no reason to trust it in what it says about heaven except for pleasant wishful thinking .

      Without the Bible you cannot even know who Jesus is, what he wants or expects of us and how to follow him. If you believe in Jesus then you believe in the Bible and what it says. After all, it is taking the words of the Bible to be true that we even accept the he is the son of God. Aside from that Pearson is not even teaching about needing the Bible to love Jesus, he is teaching that you do not even have to accept him as God or a savor. The Bible states that you have to accept him as the son of God and your savior to be saved. If that is true, (and believing in Jesus but not the words of the Bible are not congruous) then consider what Pearson could cost every person who believes him.

    His charming personality has charmed/bewitched his emotional followers. The devil got him, because God turn him over to a reprobate mind. That's what happens when some one doesn't love the Truth of God's Word. It says that in Romans. He couldn't stand the fact that loved ones go to hell, plus he was legalistic...so now he's all screwed up. I kinda feel sorry for him now...but I'm scared for his followers and other subsceptible people...

    @BigE7 Actually hades is the same medaphore for the Hebrew word Shoel. The use of tarturus is perfect when you understand the real mythology of it. Ancient mythology tells that tarturus was only a prison for rebeliouse Greek gods such as cronos and the titans. All the dead went to hades. There is no entity in tarturus known as the devil. These fallen are in restraints and have no influense with man. A prison is a prison. You just cant come and go when you want.

    Some people really seem intent on taking the teachings in the Bible (and for the matter, TRUTH itself) out of context. Clearly all men are created in the image of God having an eternal Spirit with identity. It is a misrepresentation to assert that the Bible teaches God sends people to Hell- it does teach that God both "pre-destinates" some to Everlasting life, Yet, HE sends no one to hell. People who reject Christ will will go to an eternal destination where they have NO experience of GOD

    Carlton Pearsons error was so great....its comparable to an Imam Islam saying Muhammed was actually a woman or a Buddhist saying Buddha was a violent man. Its just crazy....Ted Haggard was forgiven because he confessed his sin and stepped down gracefully. Bishop Pearson can be forgiven but he hasnt confessed he was wrong....again even if he backtracks he can never preside over a church again...from a biblical viewpoint.

    @westernlions I'm not wrong. The soul still lives after a person dies. Revelation 6:9
    "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:" And I know the the body goes to the ground, spirit goes back to God, and the soul goes to heaven or hell. Mt 10:28 for the sake of others reading, that word "hell" in the Greek is "Gehenna" which is the lake of fire and unsaved soul will go to.
