    It was Carlton's job to simply deliver the true Gospel. Whether people chose or refused to accept that message is not his responsibility. Thats the problem with many Churches today, a big pressure to preform and get people soulishly riled up.

      ​@@sparedbygrace7490let me help you understand it a little easier. The soul is not "ours". The soul belongs to God, and is part of God. Not just your soul, every soul. There is no evil soul. Every soul is good, it's the man, who has fault, not the soul.

    Carlton himself said that he couldn't get past the idea that his grandparents, who'd died in sin, went to hell. So he reinvented his own idea of what hell is, and using his flame and influence, sold it to the masses, who ate it up, and continue to accept this heresy. Yes, Jesus came to save everyone, but you have to accept Him. If Hell doesn't exist, then what's the point of needing to accept, or not, Jesus? You can go to Heaven either way.

      Lemons19902010 thank YOU.. by him being a pastor you would think he should know this. There will be no purpose of churches. Or people spread the gospel if no matter what we doing or say we all go to heaven regardless if that's the case God would not sent his son to die on the cross

      Lemons19902010 Rather than saying he reinvented Hell, I think those thoughts were the catalyst, a catalyst he couldn’t ignore and so many other people cannot ignore in their own lives. Living their whole lives wrestling with spiritual questions, big questions. Questions that affect you psychologically which impact your life.
      About accepting Jesus, maybe you don’t have to. That is what he’s saying. Jesus did what he did because He/God so loved the world. Period. It is finished. Is your faith bigger than that? Does your faith trump what He did? The answer is no, of course not. Your faith does not activate or deactivate God’s love for you nor your salvation. How can it be Good News if the majority of people will burn in eternal Hellfire? I guess it’s Good News because Jesus created a bridge for SOME people to be saved, from God’s wrath. Jesus (God) sent to die for mankind to save them from Himself.

      Jesus describing the condemnation and life said this in John 3:18-19:
      18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
      19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
      You won't be condemned at a later date because of unbelief. If you are in unbelief, you are in destruction. You are not living the god kind of life. that's the real hell, that's real destruction. that's the real condemnation or judgement

    I used to attend here in 96, 97, 98---
    Carlton started out with
    God--but became ful of pride.
    He grew up in a denomination where God was a harsh God.
    Legalism, strick legalism
    So his view of God was not the Loving God--
    God would never send starving Children in Africa to Hell.
    I mean, if your denomination teaches God in this way,
    Then when kind of God are you serving.
    I am sorry that Carlton saw God this way,
    No wonder deception has taken hold of his heart.
    May he come to know the true Christ

    When people look to man for an explaination, they get mans point of view, If you want Gods point of view, go to Gods word. Proverbs 1.7 "Fear of the lord is the BEGINNING of all knowledge" Read next in 1 John 4.18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."

    Wow! I remember when Bishop Pearson was still a Bishop and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm not sure where he got his current belief system from but God does not send people to hell. And He doesn't cause suffering. Suffering comes as a result of sin and is just the way of the world! That's why Jesus Christ shed His blood, to atone for our sin! He (Bishop Pearson) knows better than this. It's really sad that his uncle and his grandparents CHOSE hell over heaven and made a conscious decision to live the lifestyles that they were living but Jesus is a gentleman. He does not force Himself upon anyone! They all had no excuse! They heard the Gospel and they knew what was right. They chose their path and unfortunately, it lead to hell.

    The Azuza conferences were full of great music, there was nothing like it in the world.
    I remember when T.D. was there --
    Carlton, like I said, has a good heart,
    but he was deceived,
    and it didn't start with the gospel of inclusion.
    Long before that...
    Again,
    What kind of denomination would believe their God would send
    starving children to hell.
    If a loving God would send his son to take our punishment,
    We can trust a loving to to take the children who die.

      A loving God would never create a hell to burn people forever just because they don’t believe in him! He won’t even cure the coronavirus! Christians believe anything a Bible says but we’re not around 2500 years ago to prove God even wrote it.😯

    He studied the Bible in the original languages, but did not never received a college degree, or never did that well in college? Yeah, right!! This is an example of the untrained who obtain Greek or Hebrew language tools available at the local bookstore and try to piece it all together. As one who has studied both Greek and Hebrew for several years at the graduate level, believe me when I say people can hurt themselves who are not familiar with the grammar and syntax of biblical languages.

    The problem here is that this guy decided where people went based on his finite knowledge of their relationships with God and didn't like it so "hell ain't real". Nevermind that no one can know what's in another man's heart at the last second and no one knows what God does with or for those who have never had a chance to choose Jesus. Deciding the hell isn't real is convenient and conformable for someone who wasn't getting the answers he wanted because ministry was covered by performance but that doesn't make hell fake.

      @@marvincudjoe I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God.The error is not in the Word, it is in man. We all have a choice to believe as we choose. There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord. Proverbs 19:21. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. Isaiah 7:5-7. I choose to believe, obey and trust God alone.

    interesting for sure. We're definitely pre conditioned to "assume" a lot about hell without actually thinking about it. However......ultimately the truth remains....Jesus and the gospel is all that matters.

    Have you all forgotten...those who are stuck in judgement and not in Jesus love. The reason the Christian church grew during and immediately after Jesus death was because the followers demonstrated love to all, fully inclusive. That is the real message of Jesus. Bible literalists need to learn that the Bible is made up from bits and pieces collected from all over the Mediterranean, no original documents. Then the Roman Catholic Church in the year 400 decided what books were included, which ones were left out. All to bolster the Roman Church. Look beyond the literal for the real message. Jesus is love not judgement.

    I heard of this man post fall out from the church and now that he's gone, I decided to learn more about him and where he and I may agree to disagree with is even though I grew up Southern Baptist in the 90s and 00s, he grew up pentacostal, where everyone outside the realm of God was bound for hell upon death. But I was taught that for children who was 12 and under was that innocent children don't go to hell upon early death in life and that accountability would only begin after age 12. Carlton had a huge fear of hell which often times lead people to a path of destruction within their faith. I still believe in heaven and hell, but I look towards God still as a loving God first before a fire, brimstone wrathful type of God. Fear is something that I believe people in Religion use to keep people bounded, and that's not why Christ came. He came to deliver us and to preach the Good news to all who would hear. We don't even have to be the top Bishop of any denomination to get the job done, just simply put, be yourself.

    Hell was prepared for the devil and his demons, however man goes because of his rebellion towatds God. Unrepented sin is the reason. God has given us all the gift of freewill to choose life or death. If God has given us freewill to choose then why would he make hell to control or scare you? For those who dont believe hell is real that is your choice, eternity without God. Those who believe Gods word and except His Sons gift of salvation, repent of their sins and live Holy before God, heaven is yours, its pretty simple. For without faith it is impossible to please him, for those who come to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heb.11:6

    He needed to know that God gives us all free will to choose Him or serving yourself which is serving Satan. It is the preachers role to preach and teach the Gospel and not saving people. That is the job of the Holy Spirit. Also, none can come to Him unless He draws them. Many are called but few are chosen. Bishop Carlton Pearson went on his own preaching before God sent him. He missed valuable lessons listing to others instead of God. I am praying that God will restore, and renew your mind with the right spirit and give you the mind of Christ in Jesus name. 🙏

    I can only image how many people he is actually leading away with this new age belief. Yes, Jesus came to saves us all IF we are willing to accept him. God gives us freedom of choice so if someone is sent to hell it's based off his own life choices.Yes there is suffering on Earth, sickness, hunger, murder all things brought into this world when the first sin was committed. God never said this life would be carefree, but he did promise that he would always be there for you.

    Carltons problem is he's thinking of God as a Human, God's ways are not like ours, His thoughts are not like ours. God is the creator and we are the created. The created cannot tell the creator what he can or cannot do?

      charles hines I think you may be part right but his real problem is that he got dropped from TBN and had to reinvent himself to continue to fleece the flock. He's always been a heretic going back to his Oral Roberts days.

      I do believe in the existence of Hell because the bible says so. What bothers me is how can God say He loves mankind and then He brings Satan and his demons to us to deceive mankind and eventually lead us to hell.
      What makes this worse is the statement from the bible that we are helpless to sin , that we are born with sin in us but the God allows this sin to control us to a point where a majority of mankind suffers here on earth and end suffering even more in Hell, still after all this suffering we are told that God's love for mankind is forever.
      surely something just does not add up here. If the bible is accurate about Hell then maybe the preachers of the Gospel have overstated the love of God for humanity. How do you send someone you love to an eternal punishment to burn forever. Something is just not on here.

    WOW Carlton Pearson is a sad example of a victim of spiritual abuse by his family! He is such a ball of confusion, he has no idea what is what. They abused the doctrine of hell in his family's church and now he is preaching and promoting unbiblical conclusions. I will be praying for his soul. So sad.

    There is an exhibit traveling the United States called Passages. It is a beautiful display of the Bible & the history of the Bible including the misquotes & misspellings of scribes. All of the comments below concern me especially the ones full of misspelled words. You watch the clips only to leave negative comments? Learn to read, write, and spell.     the point of life and all sermons is not to prevent people from hell, but more importantly is to prevent people from living life without knowing god, his majesty, his grace. The point is not even to get to heaven, it is to now God, to be at his presence, because heaven is not heaven without God

    Men may have written the Bible, but Jesus would never let his word be watered down for 2 thousand years, before it had a chance to get into my ears, in its fullest meaning. That Bible and it’s words were kept in its pristine condition by God, so not only I can hear it fully, but anyone else can pick it up and read it fully. The only rock solid thing in life is Jesus’s words.

    The reason his grand parents didn't go to hell is because they were saved but sinned. You don't go to hell because you sin, we all sin - even believers and some backslide. This sounds like they can walk in and out of salvation and are saved by their works which is not true. That is the sad part! If you are truly saved, you are saved.

    I promise you.., God spoke to me about Pearson around the tender age of 15 or so in the mid 80’s. I was watching the Higher Dimensions broadcast one Sunday evening.., and while Pearson was preaching.., he paused and was speaking in tongue’s .., when GOD VERY CLEARLY SPOKE TO ME .., and said …, “that is not me, that is not my Holy Spirit!” I was stunned.
    I NEVER EVER mentioned those words to ANYONE for a couple of decades.. because I really liked Pearson.., and I tried my best to convince myself that I had not heard from God because I was so young as a believer .., but I KNEW with an unexplainable certainty.., it was God that spoke that word to me.
    Fast forward… when all the Carlton Pearson stuff began to come to light.. well over 20 years later.., the Holy Spirit reminded me what he said to me that day as a teenager about Pearson… so that I would know and acknowledge when the Holy Spirit speaks a thing.

    @gritpump: There was two times i recall where the bible/God used "WE"
    Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forht his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.
    Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confounded their language, that they may not understand one anothers speech.
    There is only one explenation to what brother carlton experience, he heard the word of the enemy.

    @megachews The voice he heard was the voice of his guardian angel, and there are plenty of them up there. The angry God reference referred to his old understanding of God, not his revelation of God that was given to him.

    Jesus Christ talks about Hell in the KJV Bible quite a lot. However, what if someone is taught about Hell but rejects The Holy Trinity teachings because they don't know any better? There are minimum of dozens of various different religions in existence today. (2021).....

    Before you people say that Carlton spoke with the devil or misunderstood God, remember, he read the Bible in the original Greek and Hebrew. English-translated Bibles have mistakes and even deliberate mistranslations to suit man-made doctrines. Please do the research first and then make a decision whether Carlton speaks the truth or not.

    If 5:57 is the conversation he had with God.... how did he get "hell isn't real" out of that? It goes to show even if God spoke audibly and clearly to everyone, people will still twist his words and hear what they want to hear.

    @megachews Is it really the 'word of God'? Bart Ehrman doesn't think so, and he spent 7 years studying the book. The idea that a perfect God would sent His children to a torture chamber forever just doesn't fly with thinking people, and it does not fit into the picture of a loving God.

    06:25 He didn't here the voice of God. That's the doctrine of demons that's spoke of in 1 Timothy 4:1. Yes Christ died for the world but the work on the cross by Christ still has to be accepted. If not then there is no reason to preach Jesus Christ.

    @Fleshissin, John 17:9 was not properly exegeted in context, read before and after the verse, he was praying for the 12 disciples given to him, because they believed on his name they were not of the world (verse 8 and 6), nice distortion. James has something he will like to tell you in 5:15-16, :O.

    Jesus himself said" If you do not Believe that I am he, you shall die in your sins". Anyone who does not accept the "work" that Jesus performed for us....and repent and turn from sin will end up in hell.
    While no one is in heaven or hell immediately following death, but the judgement will determine your destination. And we will all be judged at the appropriate time!
    There is a way that seems right to mankind, but the end thereof is death.....both physical and spiritually.

    Carlton went from works doctrine (i.e. if you are 'good' you go to heaven') to another form of apostasy. Romans 8.16 "The Spirit bears witness that we are His." If you know God, if you love God, you will be with God forever. Those who do not love God will not be with God. God is love. Life without love is hell. Think of the worst of humanity, like torture chambers. Hell is worse than anything on this earth. Hell does not need flames to be a torment. Conversely - and here's a radical thought that I think fits inside Scripture - it may be that heat makes people lethargic so they do not torment each other as much.
    Are the flames of allegorical? If not, how can hell be called the 'outer darkness.' I have never seen dark flame. Personally, I might be wrong, but I think the flames of torment are the best earthly description of something we have not seen. If millionaires blow their brains out on earth, what is the suffering like in hell. Not God's fault. God is good. Hell is a place without love. It is eternal torment. Yet, there is life in Jesus Christ.

    I don't 100% agree with all of what he teaches but the fear embedded in us and the things we have been taught over the years is confusing to the spirit and frustrating. No one is perfect. I can only believe (in fear) that God looks at the heart and will accept me to be with him when this full of sin life of mine is over.

    @jodeci605 You have it backwards. He is not mad at God, he accepts Him with greater love and understanding now that he knows God does not unjustly send people to hell. That part of the bible was put there as a fear tactic to keep people afraid of not obeying church doctrine.

    @Bill244888 I may not be your brother, but you are mine regardless of our differences. I do not deny the Godly inspired scriptures written by men in its original language. I deny the teachings of false intepretation of scripture by men who read poorly translated english bibles and thump their chests. They interpret scripture based on their own hidden desires of vengence against their enemies, and ticle the ears with the same hidden hateful desires and denie their brothers who disagree with them.

    The Biblical weight of evidence makes it very clear what God teaches about heaven and hell. Hell is a real place and that is the point of John 3:16 - that God so loved his creation that He sent Jesus to rescue a fallen and lost humanity. What Carlton is doing is basing his new-found 'theology' (i.e. that there is no hell) on an personal thought/experience rather than be guided by a massive weight of evidence to the contrary. Satan always comes as an angel of light and asks ''Did God say ...?'

    I believe in the Reconciliation of all as scripture teaches. (Colossians 1:20) I personally belive in needed correction in this life and after death. But all will be redeemed in Christ is His time and way for Jesus is the Savior of the world as scripture says. Jesus is the Living Word of God as we may learn in John chapter one. He will never be corrupted by doctrines of men. God is Love and if we love only those who love us we are no better than the wicked. Mathew 5:44-48 We are all broken. May we learn to treat each other with love.

    Perhaps one of his greater downfalls was his desire to be a part of the "World," particularly campaigning for Any-body for "Political" Office, and endeavoring to make a name for "himself" instead of maintaining his focus on the teachings of God.

      I think you made some good points. I think the biggest flaw in Pearson's doctrine of no hell is that it destroys justice. The same sense of justice that lead him to feel sorry for those suffering in Africa, is the same sense of justice he should have towards evil. Now he's got a conundrum, where are Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, serial killers, and baby rapers? If he's claiming everyone goes to heaven then morality doesn't matter because there is no justice or punishment. He's ignoring God as judge.

      Indeed he IS! He has also erroneously persuaded himself, by trying to excuse others, that 'he' is Not accountable to Anyone for his own actions. He actually fulfills prophesy involving the Last Days, where it talks about how 'people would begin to no longer accept the righteous teachings, but start to establish their Own, and wanting to have their ears tickled.' It's very sad that he no longer see's this.

    I have a question for Carlton Pearson?????? What if God was telling him to have a Azusa revival where those people were at in Africa? God does not work that way, sorry, but he is not telling the truth. He was bitter behind his grandparents choices in life and possible soul's outcome. Only God knows where his grandparents are at to this day. Period.
