Carlton Pearson
After college at the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma he served for 15 years on its Board of Regents, and two years as Associate Evangelist of The Oral Roberts Association, (ORA).
In 1977, Pearson founded Higher Dimensions Ministries (now New Dimensions ), in Tulsa, which grew to over 5,000.
Bishop Pearson was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 1996 thru a College of Bishops headed by Bishop Charles E Blake, presently the Presiding Bishop of the Churches of God In Christ, the denomination he was raised in and through whom he was ordained in 1971.
In 1993, Carlton married the former Gina Marie Gauthier who is a professional Life Coach and Yoga teacher.
More recently, he has felt a passion to proclaim the "Gospel Of Inclusion" and has written a widely acclaimed book by that name, published by Simon and Schuster. It confronts the Christian church's exclusivism as being inconsistent, in spirit with the teachings of Jesus.
Pearson's frank and often controversial take on a number of different subjects has earned him appearances on television programs such as NBC and MSNBC's Dateline, ABC's Nightline, 20/20, Good Morning America, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley, The Edge with Paula Zahn and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Monique Show on BET, and a number of other television, radio and print media outlets. Bishop Pearson was recognized as one of America's 10 Most Influential Black Ministers by Gospel Today and Belief.net. He has received several honorary doctoral degrees.
Bishop Pearson recently served as the Interim Senior Minister at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. He and Gina now host New Dimensions of Chicago, building a local multi-cultural and radically Inclusive spiritual community that emphasizes expanded consciousness and Self Actualization. His newest book, God Is Not A Christian, Nor A Jew, Muslim, Hindu...God Dwells With Us, In Us, Around Us, As Us was published by Simon and Schuster and released in the spring of 2010.

I’m so glad that Bishop Pearson walked this earth & was a blessing to others. He will forever be remembered as one of the greatest leaders of our time. Despite of people misunderstanding him & turning his back on him God STILL had his hand on Carlton’s life until he passed. Rest in Heaven Bishop 🥺

I am so happy I found Carlton. I use to listen to him on TV and even then I knew God was downloading inside of him Truth. I am so proud of his courage to speak the TRUTH. The things people are saying negatively about him are the same things they have said about Jesus. GOD IS LOVE. Religion is cultural specific.

that's makes little sense- if you found him on tv (before his current state), then the positions that he was teachings and asserting are the complete opposite of what he currently asserts. Are you the type of person who blindly accepts anything someone tells you is what you must accept ? In fact, it is the people who are at odds with Mr. Pearson at this times who are trying to restore him to the correct path he previously pursued with great passion and conviction.

Bishop Pearson is on the path of enlightenment. No one will turn him from that. The bible says God's mercy endureth forever. Mercy and Hell cannot co-exist. Love and eternal damnation cannot co-exist. You have to choose one. Jesus said the greatest commandment is love. Bishop Carlton chose love and mercy. So do I.
Please stick to the bible and nothing else. Trust God and lean not on your own understanding.

He's speaking his own perception, not the Bible. If everyone is saved even outside of faith in Jesus Christ like he claims, then there's no need to tell anyone. We're all saved, right?

Carleton Pearson came to a prayer meeting at my house in 1972. He was a sophomore at ORU then, and a member of the World Action Singers.He was thoroughly steeped in the Pentecostal tradition of the Christian faith.He shared a gospel message, and joined our group in singing from our Baptist hymn book( we were a very ecumenical group), and some of the Gaither songs which were just becoming popular at that time. He made an impression on all of us with his engaging personality, his sense of humor and his Christian witness.This was well before he drifted in to Universalism and underwent a fundamental change in his theological beliefs.
Just looking at you Bishop, so much love is stirred up within me for your. sir, i really wish you could just return to the old days and grow your church back. i don't think its God's will for your church to tear apart. i really love you sir, such a divine love that i cant explain. i hope God gives you clarity.

I've heard almost every talk show about Bishop Pearson, I do understands that when you preach the word of God, we loves preaching our view instead of the biblical view, God Genarals is a great book, cause it show how a lot of ministers starts right and then goes astray, most of the preachers wants to be famous so we starts includes everyone in the gospel, while the word of God said, the world will hates you but remember I havehave overcomes the world, we either stand for what the word of God says or we leave it. There is many gods with higher powers but not every god people believes in is Jesus.
Bishop believed in God and Jesus until the day he died!
Back in 1999 Bishop Pearson had to preach at a Summit in Fort Worth TX. When it was time for him to preach he stood up and turned down his collar and with such pride he walked like he was floating in air and never picked up his Bible. The words that came out of mouth was sad. He said I don’t need my Bible I know the scriptures and he started to sing. He didn’t preach nor did he give God the honor. He said a few words after singing he turned around with his head up he walked back to his seat. I never saw anything like that in my life. I knew something was wrong… dead wrong!
That's why got cancer right now, he got high minded and let Satan trick him into preaching a false gospel and now he's getting punished by king Yahweh, case closed!!
So are you suggesting that because he didn't do all the formalities that preachers do at the beginning of their messages, that he said or did something contrary to the will of God? Was truth not spoken because he didn't give the usual traditional delivery?

I have been a follower of Bishop Pearson since his days with AZUSA! He has had lot of controversy in his "Spiritual" life since then! I am not the judge of any one! I can only pray that my life and service will be acceptable unto the "Master"! We all need to stop judging others, and concentrate on ourselves! Surely we can go to other FB pages! I only tune in to folks that I enjoy! It is my sincere desire that Bishop Pearson is being lead by God! I am not his sitter to verify that !

What kind if spiritual controversy did he have back then?
Your courage to live authentically is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself. As I continue to evolve spiritually, I find that I am trying to make sense of old ways of thinking, doing and being. I ask myself, why did I have to spend so much time believing this or that? And I often struggle with what to do with former "truths". I'm wondering, with such a rich history and depth of living in Evangelical doctrines, how do you make sense of all that you believed before now?

I spent most of today listening to different interviews with Bishop Carlton Pearson. And my heart has been opened by what he said about the gospel of inclusion. I don’t understand it fully, for I am still prisoner to my beliefs of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. But I am moved by Mr. Pearson’s faith in God, and obedience to what God called him to do. I see some similarities between Bishop in his grandiose declaration of his “Gospel of Inclusion” and the Apostle Paul’s Damascus road experience and his repudiation of the law. Paul, a Pharisee, was steeped in the Law, and before his turnaround, sanctioned the stoning to death of the body of Christ. But when he was confronted with the reality of Christ, Paul turned away from Pharisaical teachings and embraced Christ as his life. Needless to say following his dramatic conversion he was subsequently viewed a traitor to the teaching of the Old Testament, was deeply hated by his countrymen, much like Bishop is being vilified by the organized church and called a heretic. But, Paul was faithful to his calling and as a result the church was more fully formed and built up by faith and love in Jesus Christ alone. I pray that Jesus Christ our Lord and our God keep you and bless you with wisdom, revelation knowledge and a deeper understanding of His love and His move in your life and ministry and that we may all be one in HIM. Hes not really a christian anymore. He also preached a different gospel. God never told him to teach a new gospel. Please dont compare paul to this man either. Paul was used to preach to the gentiles. He wasnt preaching no hell doctrine.

Well, he is preaching what I discovered on my own after seeing a UFO. I knew what I saw was real, I did my research and found that we were genetically altered to who we are today. The 7 tablets of creation that were written in stone thousands of years before the Bible. I see the same quotes from the tablets, in the Bible.

furthermore, I think the Bishop is sure what he believes. If he was willing and did lose money, his church, and his congregation for his new beliefs- he really believes what he is saying. He has progressed in his thinking and he isnt going back to old things.
Not necessarily.. Yes, he may be sincere, but plenty of people have been sincerely wrong about things. In the case of Mr. Pearson , we do know that he complained very bitterly about it. He may have thought that he could have actually persuaded christians to agree with him and follow him even though he chose to reject fundamental tenets of what we as christians believe to be truth.

Adam & Eve were not kicked out of the garden. God guarded the tree of eternal life but they were NEVER kicked out of the garden. In fact, God made them clothing and clothed them. God made Adam and Eve with a dual mind from the beginning. If they did not have a dual mind with the ability to choose other than God then how was them eating the fruit wrong? To get technical they "Sinned" in their hearts before actually EATING the fruit. How did they sin in their hearts before eating it? Because they were made WITH the duality in the first place...Before even eating the fruit. Why? I believe God's whole plan was for that to happen...Would explain why Christ happened BEFORE the foundation of the world...So that one day...We will ALL be reunited back to our Father.

The Church does not embrace the likes of Bishop Carlton Pearson or Bishop Jack Spong because it is they challenge believers to think outside the box, to think for themselves. I seek the truth about God by being challenged to explore different views. I appreciate and admire these men's courage to speak the truth as they see it.
I wish more church people where like you. But look at religion with the same scrutiny and skepticism with an open mind for a second and see what happens.

I have always loved Carlton Pearson, and still do, but I don't agree with some of his theology about "inclusion".

God is the judge? Kidding me? He gave His word so that we can know the difference, so that we would discern between right and wrong and not be deceived. You know the Bible talked about great deception in the last days, don't you?
I loved Carlton Pierson, his ministry and anointing of God upon his life, and i still do love him, but it's pretty clear that he missed the way, and i think it was by the same deceiving spirits the Bible talked about that will be unleashed to deceive in the last days. In all that, the Lord would want us to walk in love being aware of the difference, the difference of separating loving a person from being aware of the wrong/problem around the person.
No one is a homophobe that preachers the gospel of Jesus Christ. So what you are saying that Apostle Paul was a homophobe because he did not bowel to it and he did preach against.

OK: Explain to me what does Leviticus 18:22 where God says homosexuality is an abomination. I interpret this particular sin to be different form other sins, which means that this sin will send you to hell. Somebody help me understand if I am wrong? Thank you.
CRL It's used to be Adam's sin that sin that entered the World. Not the different ways that we miss the mark. Jesus became sin for us. Focus on the righteousness in Christ.

Lord I too feel so sorry that there are people going to hell when I got saved I thought that if I prayed for satan to get saved then he cannot try to tempt or to kill and destroy God's people but The bible say that satan has already been judged so that takes care of that one. Silly thinking. I feel that maybe like me, Pasr Carlton does not want that none should perish so the poor man looks in the bible for a way out. Lord have mercy on him and bring him closer to you and Lord do not let sinners believe his version so that they follow the wrong path. No one cometh to God but thru His son and that is by accepting Him as our saviour and by the power of the blood to cleanse and make them whole. I'm going to say this and leave it alone. What it all boils down too: It has nothing to do with religion that is just a cover.
