Carlton Pearson
After college at the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma he served for 15 years on its Board of Regents, and two years as Associate Evangelist of The Oral Roberts Association, (ORA).
In 1977, Pearson founded Higher Dimensions Ministries (now New Dimensions ), in Tulsa, which grew to over 5,000.
Bishop Pearson was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 1996 thru a College of Bishops headed by Bishop Charles E Blake, presently the Presiding Bishop of the Churches of God In Christ, the denomination he was raised in and through whom he was ordained in 1971.
In 1993, Carlton married the former Gina Marie Gauthier who is a professional Life Coach and Yoga teacher.
More recently, he has felt a passion to proclaim the "Gospel Of Inclusion" and has written a widely acclaimed book by that name, published by Simon and Schuster. It confronts the Christian church's exclusivism as being inconsistent, in spirit with the teachings of Jesus.
Pearson's frank and often controversial take on a number of different subjects has earned him appearances on television programs such as NBC and MSNBC's Dateline, ABC's Nightline, 20/20, Good Morning America, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley, The Edge with Paula Zahn and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Monique Show on BET, and a number of other television, radio and print media outlets. Bishop Pearson was recognized as one of America's 10 Most Influential Black Ministers by Gospel Today and Belief.net. He has received several honorary doctoral degrees.
Bishop Pearson recently served as the Interim Senior Minister at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. He and Gina now host New Dimensions of Chicago, building a local multi-cultural and radically Inclusive spiritual community that emphasizes expanded consciousness and Self Actualization. His newest book, God Is Not A Christian, Nor A Jew, Muslim, Hindu...God Dwells With Us, In Us, Around Us, As Us was published by Simon and Schuster and released in the spring of 2010.

Paul was talking about people leading the church astray with a false doctrine like the ones you believe in. Why would God and what would God get out of seeing people to burn over and over. people of color have been hoodwinked bamboozled from not knowing or understanding the scriptures. Jesus did the finished work on the cross. When He Jesus said it’s finished he meant it and all the laws were done with except. This is what Jesus commanded us to do.
When asked which commandment is greatest, he responds (in Matthew 22:37): “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind…the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
If you want to live a life and continue to be under the law you go ahead. Do we continue to sin NO! We’re under grace. But we don’t take and use it to sin.

Yes and he was spot on about the origins of the book and word etymology. Most Christians are unlearned and unstudied. Many would be shocked to watch Caesars Messiah documentary which is free on RUclips. I met him a few times too and I agree with you.

Like you Bishop Carlton Pearson Resonated and confirmed what I felt about Mainstream Christianity over the Decades. I have nothing more to do with Mainstream Christianity. Today I am a whole lot freer than what I felt in Mainstream Christianity. I really enjoy life more. I say Mainstream Christianity is well on its way out the door the sooner the better. Do not pay any mind to the modern day Pharisees. Jesus would say if he were here You Mainstream Christians are the 21 century hypocrites just like the Pharisees of old.

Dear Bishop Pearson, I've listened to both Bishop Ellis' side of the story and your side of the story. My heart was torn when hearing the hate & bitterness in Bishop Ellis' words. That old saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn"...I think it should also say, "Hell hath no fury like a bishop scorn!" You came across so eloquent and humble. You've been to the school or should I say the College of hard knocks & have graduated with top honors. I am a 57 year old gay black man, who was raised in the church. I was ashamed of myself, my sexuality, my race, etc...I attended both black churches and white churches. At least I felt some worth while worshipping with white congregation. I had hoped by 2018, the most SEGREGATED DAY of the week (Sunday) would have been wiped away. Anyway, I have heard about your fall from grace (being kicked out of your mega million dollar church) ...I wonder what would have happened if Pastor Eddie Long along with other pastors/bishops (black & white) had come to you for ministering, perhaps they would have turned their churches upside down, welcoming & reaching out to lonely, the broken hearted, gay/straight/lesbian/bisexual...you know...EVERYONE. Instead, they wreaked nothing but chaos and havoc. I am so glad to see you are a very EDUCATED man, one who truly is touched by the hand of God. I too have heard about King James being gay and even better...his lover was Lord Buckingham (who had Buckingham Palace built). I think to myself, "In all these black churches, everyone looks down their noses at fags...I wonder if they REALLY knew that a FAG wrote their bibles, with the help of William Shakespeare?!!" Also even if it was a true & private interaction on a stairwell or info written in Bishop Ellis’s book (per Bishop Ellis response to your movie), why did you allow those involved with your movie to make it public or apart of your movie? The teachings are amazing this is the first time i felt peace when it come to jesus impress in and accept him in my heart again i did not what nothing to do with him i was 17 when i got save i went thorough the same experience in the church i got sick with post partum depression at the age 19 church i went to my chruch that i was a member of the chruch for 7 years when k got sick i got no help when i asked for it ! In the mean time going to the church they preach thr scripture of the lake of fire nashing of teeth well this got me i was so sacred i started hearing voice to kill my self i i stopjng going to after 7 years of attending that chruch i went through emotional break down for 10 years i was 28 when then i started useing drugs and been struggling off and on for 30 years and iam so happy to hear what you are teaching in this video i rededicated my life to the lord 3 months ago and i was tormented for years until i been listening to you for couple of weeks until this video iam set free and iam truly at peace frist time in a long long time thank you so much brother pearson

If we couldn't judge at all we wouldn't be told to judge a tree by its fruit. We are to judge righteously and we are told to test all things. Thats why i believe pastor pearson teaching as i picked up my bible i started questioning some of thing i read from the beginning! When adam and eve ate from tree and continued to read my realization that god tryed to bring fear in to the people and they continued to sin and worship other gods after all the the thing god did for then they did not worship him the creator !

That's a contradiction, Pastor Pearson's "gospel of inclusion" says there's no accountability or punishment for the most heinous crimes imaginable - but you're saying that people will be judged for having an opposing view to his heretical doctrine !!! Defend what faith? Where in the Bible does it say that everyone is going to be saved? John wrote he saw a great white throne whose names where not written in the lambs book of life. How do you reconcile that with Pearsons message of inclusion?
I don't trust anyone who's views haven't changed in 10, 20, 30 years. Did they believe perfectly from the beginning? NO! Do they believe perfectly now? NO! So we all carry imperfections (falsehoods) big and small. Without humility and constant self-examination, we cannot root out these imperfections. If we DO root out these imperfections, our beliefs will change accordingly and become more humble and more truthful. Many of Rev. Pearson's critics (clergy or otherwise) haven't done the critical self-analysis he has done. Many critics claim a false sense of certainty about what they believe. I question their honesty.
This heresy will send people to hell.

Pearson is correct in that there is creative tension in The Text that gives a cause to struggle together until Truth is properly deduced. But, these positions run counter to Christian orthodoxy and orthopraxy as we have understood and received it from our "fathers" on this continent.

A really good interview was with Pearson and the Word Network. Really good insight...before the Netflix movie. Funny I watched it years ago...didnt know what happened. Watched the Netflix Movie and did not recall it was about the same man. Never followed his teachings then and still...BUT the ones that I have personally...followed Paula White, Eddie Long, Jamaal Bryant, Noel Jones etc....all of them have fall short BIG TIME....

Mr. Pearson I have been saying these things for a while now.I left Christianity about 8 years ago because I realized it is a cult. I would go to Church and look around at the people getting fat and going know where. Same sermons over and over it began to make me hate the religion because of the hypocrites I saw every Sunday. I feel so good now that I have left that Religion. Now I believe more in God than I ever had.

Me too! I finally figured out the virgin birth and trinity are taught by men and not scriptural. Roman's 1:3-4 proves this outright! Plus there is much corruption in the bible from hebrew and Greek to English. Much of it on purpose by the catholic harlot church in my opinion because the errors are mostly regarding issues of the virgin and trinity. So obvious! I believe Carlton has gone off the metaphysical deep end, but I understand how and why he left christianity.

Salvation is the medicine
God is the doctor
The patient is humanity
The doctor is all loving.
Provides a medicine to heal the patient's illness.
However the patient has a CHOICE to either receive the medicine and live, or reject the medicine and die, ultimately rejecting the doctor's offer of love.
Salvation has been provided for ALL to receive but can only be utilised by those who accept.
You can't make use of something you don't accept.
