First of all, let's look at the whole thing historically: Sola Scriptura or the Bible alone idea has only been around for about 250 years. Our Lord Jesus didn't say anything about a book, the Apostles didn't say anything about a book... What did Our Lord Jesus leave? He left twelve men and to one of them He gave the keys of the Kingdom, and He left Peter in charge of the Kingdom here on Earth to establish a visible church... He didn't leave a book: He left a tradition! He left the first Magisterium of the Catholic Church, the first Apostles and bishops headed by Peter and then they taught, and for what they taught, came the apostolic tradition. Our Lord Jesus taught the Apostles and the teachings of the Apostles were preserved in the Catholic Church by the bishops, who are like the caretakers of what the real TRUTH is. Once again, Jesus didn't leave a book: He left men and those men gave a teaching and part of that teaching was written down. We would not have a New Testament today if it were not for the authority of the Catholic Church. It took the Catholic Church four hundred years to put together all the books of the New Testament - 27 books, not 26 or 28... How do we know that? Because the Catholic Church and the Councils of bishops determined that, so there can be no such a thing as the Bible alone; therefore, the Roman Catholic Church is the one true church whose interpretation of the Sacred Scriptures is infallible!

I promise you.., God spoke to me about Pearson around the tender age of 15 or so in the mid 80’s. I was watching the Higher Dimensions broadcast one Sunday evening.., and while Pearson was preaching.., he paused and was speaking in tongue’s .., when GOD VERY CLEARLY SPOKE TO ME .., and said …, “that is not me, that is not my Holy Spirit!” I was stunned.
I NEVER EVER mentioned those words to ANYONE for a couple of decades.. because I really liked Pearson.., and I tried my best to convince myself that I had not heard from God because I was so young as a believer .., but I KNEW with an unexplainable certainty.., it was God that spoke that word to me.
Fast forward… when all the Carlton Pearson stuff began to come to light.. well over 20 years later.., the Holy Spirit reminded me what he said to me that day as a teenager about Pearson… so that I would know and acknowledge when the Holy Spirit speaks a thing.
Well...CP has been telling people this for 20 years now! What he was "preaching" was in fact Not God. He was preaching and teaching the traditions of the church... But it wasn't God. I can't speak for his whole understanding but I believe he's closer to the truth now than he was back then! You heard correct ... It wasn't God... So the question is how about now!!

The media would never have someone on their show that preached the whole gospel. They have this man on their show celebrating him and what he taught because the world accepts that message. They'll gladly accept the message that "it doesn't matter how I live my life, I'm going to heaven" because there's no condemnation and there's no effort involved. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you." In other words, don't be like the rest of the world and do the things they do. The Bible does not contradict. It is the infallible (flawless) Word of the Almighty God.

His teachings did not go against the Pentecostal church, it went against the Word of God. The Pentecostal church does not own the law of God; God and God alone owns it. We as saints (believers) of God are called to preach the Word, but we don't own it.

What really breaks my heart is the number of people that will hear his teaching and find justification in their wrongdoing. The people that will be led astray and confused because of his doctrine, not God's Truth!! It really hurts my heart in a major way, almost brings me to tears. Because the world doesn't need any more lies... They have enough of those.
And there are people out there that really want to understand God, and are struggling because of false doctrine. It's so sad. We definitely need to pray for him and ask God to help us stay true to God's truth as well, because although we may not have millions of viewers watching us, if we're not careful and decide not to live our lives by what we know to be true someone could be a led astray by our actions as well.
I agree! But this is why God tells us not to put our trust in man. And we are suppose to follow Jesus, not man. And it is the Holy Spirit that is here to be our comforter and teacher, again not man! We get saved and take our eyes off Jesus and put Man in the place of God. Frankly, it is impossible to deceived a God-fearing, Holy Ghost filled, praying, obedient, Man or Woman of God who endure sound doctrine. It is when one of these things I mentioned is missing in our walk with Jesus when can easily be deceived. All the devil need is a crack through a door to get in, and then before you know the whole door is open for the enemy to take full, total control. So we can not blame it all on the false Ministers. We are held accountable also when we give the devil lawful authority over us. The Lord says, "My People perish for lack of knowledge!" Most of God's people won't pray, study the Word of God. They wait til Sunday Church to open their Bile to get.a Word from the Pastor. Well, what if that Pastor is false, or what if he is in a spirit of error, or what if he is living a double life outside the Church? Better yet, what if he's an imposter all together sent by Satan himself as an Angel of Light to infitrate the Church? Only God would know these things, but He reveal them to us by shining light on darkness. But we have to walk with Him, hear His voice and follow Him, not man. I thank God for the 5 fold Ministry He has given us, but we are to test all things. We all should grow in such a place with the Lord where no matter what the Pastor preach you will already have revelation because the Lord has already spoken to you before you come together in fellowship. Know the Word of God so much when a lie is being told, you will recognize it when you here it. You know, our Banking System study the Real Bills(Money) for a long time so when they come across a Counterfeit they recognize it when it they see it. We should use this same method by studying the Word of God(truth), so we a Counterfeit Word comes through we will recognize it. These people preach all the time but are NOT Christians because they are not in possession of the Holy Spirit. They have no indwelling spirit to guide them. Emotions has to do with joy, happiness or anger, a state of someone's being, its changeable. If its inspiration from God, that means that the scriptures are everything associated to God which are without fault, everlasting and divine. God are all these things.

The Bible is riddled with scriptures on eternal punishment as well as eternal glory. We cannot change the message of the Gospel for nobody. I pray this man repents and see the error not his ways.
The Bible is also riddled with scriptures that say things that if taken at face value are clearly wrong. It states that the Sun was stopped in its course around the Earth, it implies that God does not know things because He asks people questions, has to send Angels to find out if things He's heard are true or not, allows Satan to test Job to find out whether Job is really faithful in his heart (as if He didn't already know). Just because something is in the Bible does not mean you have to take it at face value. I know that's scary, it's easier to think that you have THE manual for life on Earth, but that's not what the Bible is, the Bible is a starting point for wrestling with issues of God, life on Earth, meaning, Eternity, etc... it's not a debate ender it's a debate starter. How sad are you? I am so sadden that so many people like you have been indoctrinated in man's interpretation of man's perspective on God. That is all that the bible is.
I used to be in his church choir in Jenks Oklahoma many years ago. This has been so heartbreaking, but I am not surprised. If he did not want to be a part of the church he represented, that is fine, but please do not put the Bible, or the principles of true Christianity to shame. There is a lot more to his life story then he is sharing. God is a God of love. He is inclusive. In fact the Bible says God is love. And God is the forgiver of sin. But He is also a judge of what we choose to do with our sin.
And love is following God's precepts not deviation from them. People need to remember while God is loving and forgiving look at the days of Noah and they had it much simpler but only 8 was saved.

The Scripture is all correct. People's interpretation of it may not be. Heresy happens when you separate from the One True Holy and Apostolic Church and start adopting the 'bible alone' doctrine (another heresy). JESUS warned us of false prophets. Yes GOD'S Mercy and GRACE is everlasting but we must not forget there is a judgment side of GOD. HIS Mercy and GRACE HE gave through JESUS. Once you die without JESUS now your heart is so harden and full of pride you won't believe even though HIS Mercy endures forever. You still have to come through JESUS .

I didn't really know all of this about Carlton until now. Good for him for believing and teaching what he fully believes even in the face of the evils done to him by the Church.
