  • Testing an AI Gesture recognition toolset for Unreal Engine and Unity. The Unity gesture manager app demo'd here, allows the VR user to record gestures and build a dataset which can be trained to recognize gestures along with a confidence between 0-1.
Currently the gesture manager only supports hand-controllers but full hand-tracking recognition via Oculus Quest should be possible as well.
It's recommended to record 20 samples to train the model for each new gesture at various hand locations and speeds (hence the repetitive gestures). After I trained it in "hello" and "sorry" it was pretty good at identifying the new gestures at the end with greater than 0.5 confidence.
    Toolset is available here www.marui-plugin.com/mivry/
