Something else to keep in mind: P4 freightliners with disc brakes... i have seen many start throwing air gap, chatter, and other reluctor ring related codes once they get a few years old in the rust belt. It usually seems to happen to the 3rd axle right wheel first, and youll notice your abs warning lights typically come on once you get to highway speed. The reluctor or "tone" ring is held into slots on the brake rotor with a large snap ring. The slots that hold in the snap ring RUST AWAY. This allows the reluctor ring to move a little bit at highway speed, causing codes. The only solution is to replace the brake rotor. When you take the hub assembly off the reluctor ring may even fall right out of the rotor.
Good information here. The 2024 freightliners have REALLY stepped up their game with the quality of the wiring loom. However, the ABS harnesses are coming right out of the factory with nicks and chaffs. The better quality loom just makes them harder to find.

Does this work for abs, abs adaptive control, and traction control?? I have a 2023 freightliner cascadia and the cruise control won't work because it says the wheel speed sensor is bad, I can check everything you said, but I want to make sure it will fix everything I don't have a computer to diagnose it, I just want to follow your steps, fix it and get rolling. Please let me know.
It's very possible that a single fault code is causing all of your warning lights to come on. All those systems are connected in these trucks. Without knowing the particular fault code in your truck, it's impossible to know where to begin diagnosing. A failed wheel speed sensor is possible, but I have seen them fail far less often than wiring on these trucks.

hello ， Thanks for the video ， one of our truck that have a ABS light on and code is spn 520502 fmi 10 ，when we start the truck and driving it truck will NOT go up 4 mph ， when I look up the computer ， all ABS reading is 0.80 but ， when I drive the truck ， wheel 6and wheel 7 will go down to 0.2 and 0.3 ， ( I did replace all the ABS sensor to new ) if you know anything about it, what is going on with the truck please let me know thank you very much !
Check the 6 and 7 reluctor ring that the abs sensor reads…that reluctor ring could possibly be bent, Damaged, or have dirt stuck inside it. Believe it or not the reluctor can cause what you are explaining. Also check the wiring harnesses for any broken wires or cut or worn out sheething.
It says creep mode aborted on screen ， do you know how to turn it of？

I believe it’s a steering angle sensor issue if I’m not mistaken. Either the sensor is bad or it needs to be recalibrated but you need the software to do that

@@Gasdieselgarage I see terminal 30a and 30b voltages on the instrumentation abs tab. Both are 14.2.. is that the voltage from the module?

I'm getting 794 7 fault code and the Freightliner I took my truck to said because the codes reset when the truck turned off they couldn't diagnose it because they couldn't duplicate it...

@@Gasdieselgarage Yeah. Now they're done can being it in again and since been happening more maybe they can duplicate it this time lol. I was like how about when I get there with all the dash lights on can someone just come out and plug the computer into it right then and there and yeah that can be arranged lol
my truck has been in the shop over 8 x's for the abs, TC, break assist alll the lights lit up. they put a new modular in but I'm still getting the same issues. they have no idea why. after seeing this, I wish you'd be the one working on it. Its a 2023 It seemed that it happened when it would rain, and then once it dried up the lights would be off?? So I'll be suggesting they look at alll the wires
My truck does the same thing when it rains, the windshield was replaced and that's when it started doing that.
Doesn't matter if I'm running or sitting.
Also getting water between dash and windshield on passenger side
What if the issue isn’t on the rear axle? How will I know which wires to look at?
If you have access to a code reader and find out what abs code is faulty. But if not I’d check all abs sensors , making sure they are properly secured…sometimes they will slide out from vibration (yes dumb design) make sure they’re pushed in.

The program is called “JPRO” and the adapter that plugs into the laptop you can buy online…I can send you a link to one shortly.

I just want a solution. I spent 6 days 5 nights in bfe georgia when i could have been home, got paid shit to be in there and bored out my mind just to have this stupid abs light come on again because they wanted to use freight liner for the warranty. Im not knocking them for using the warranty, but for 6 days and 5 nights i expect the issue to be fixed

@GasDiesel Garage no, abs light comes on when I'm stop&go (during backups and driving thru town) I'm thinking brake switch 🤔
When abs light comes on, it stays on until I switch the truck off,then it clears itself up
@@badguy2419 yes more than likely my friend…..it’s very common for Those brake switch to build up rust or dirt inside the switch itself. I’m actually in the middle of taking filming a video on mr taking apart one of the brake switches so the world can see what’s inside and how it builds up foreign material

Sorry I didn’t see this earlier…code 789 pertains to the wheels ABS sensors….check wheel sensors make sure they are pushed in all the way to the tone ring, check wiring harness for any damage…those are the top 2 common problems. Hope this helps my friend 👍

2004 Monte Carlo showing battery light in message ctr turn key on everything goes off but comes back on after in release the key still no crank replaced starter and ignition switch still not cranking
When you had the ignition switch replaced, was it programmed to the bcm?….the computer may not be recognizing the key possibly
@@Gasdieselgarage No I did not I myself don't know how to do that program to the computer do you have a video showing how to reset the BCM to recognize the key
It done the same thing a few times in the past it always showed the Red battery light in the message ctr i cleaned the ground to the frame it started ran for a month until Christmas eve cut it off it has started again and showing the Red battery light in the message ctr again I've cleaned all the connections

Mine just came on 2024…. Not even 6 thousand miles yet and I hardly use the breaks lol
I've seen more than a few of these 2024 freightliner come right out of the factory with chaffed ABS sensor wiring. Even a small nick in the wiring insulation can cause codes, especially when it gets wet.
Im sure the freightliner dealer hate you. I got screw the freightliner dealer in Bakersfield Bakersfield Truck Center
They claim they replaced the ABS sensor, The ABS module, n relearn parameters. I still the the code. Freaking parts exchagers.
I see this everyday bud and yes it’s complete BS how these parts changers do you. Hell I got people at my job who automatically condemn very expensive parts without digging deep into diag….it’s a shame
