I was quite surprised on how hot the water lye mixture reached. I did add a very little cedarwood and geranium essential oil. I'm not into overwhelming scents. It smells so clean. Alkanet is one of my favorites for purple. I find it needs to be infused though for several weeks but then you can get that light pastel purple without adding synthetics like TD.

Gorgeous! Just a quick question- when you infused the olive oil you used 250g, but only used 204g in the actual soap. Did you have some left over that you just didn’t use, or did the amount of oil you got go down because of waste when you strained the oil out? Sorry, such a specific question I know 😅
