Thank you so much for sharing this!!! You really did not have to! I'm tired of using palm oil so this is so helpful! Also, can you use avocado oil(butter) or aloe butter in place of coconut oil?
You can’t imagine how much I continue to learn from you! I’m so grateful for how you share recipes!! It’s about impossible for me to get the concepts of super fat and the ideas behind recipes down!! So frustrating that I have a block there still. I’m hoping to get there though !
For those that don’t know, this is cold process soap. Takes a while for the lye to die so be careful and don’t sell too soon. Do your research. Love the cold process myself. Nice video by the way
23:04 teehee she called me a trooper! Can’t wait to stop buying soap base and make it from scratch myself! Thank you so much for your help-I will keep trying different recipes until it’s normal and natural for me. Low key I’m very nervous 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Thank you for sharing! I really want to make soap for my family but it’s a little intimidating to get started. I made some liquid Castile soap and that turned out great so now I’m excited to get started with bar soap. I’m loving your channel. Thanks again!
I was thinking how delicious and edible the soap looked...then she asked if we did. Yes, it looks delicious. This will be the 1st soap I try to make. Thanks for this beautiful recipe.
Your process is truly a labor of 💕. However the end result is beautiful. I am amazed by how the colors traveled so far towards the bottom, I honestly was not expecting that. Please note I have never made soap before. This is amazing to watch!
Made lavender vanilla soap but did it a bit different. Put my lye and water bowl over ice cooled a lot faster than 2 hours. Did my oils in the microwave then when it was cooled did it in the molds. Came out perfect.
My mom used to give us castor oil and mixed it with orange juice, its more than 15 years since I had it but I still cant stomach orange juice, but I use castor oil for my hair...😍 my hair is soo thick and I dont have any problem with my hairline.... All the love from South Africa 🇿🇦
@@Purplemountainsoapsamazing! Tysm! Any specific calculators you would recommend? Also do you know any equations or conversions? I like to be prepared for a time when tech acts up but I still gotta do what I gotta do.
I can remember my mom giving me castor oil when I was sick, but I haven't actually thought about giving it to my children...funny that you asked about it. :)
Well done sister. You are truly a blessing. May God continue to bless your business and open more doors of opportunities for you and your family in Jesus's name I pray Amen.
I love your soap making tutorials!! I just have one question... do you let the soap sit on the counter over night or do you put it in the oven over night?
I stumbled upon you channel while looking for melt and pour tutorials and now I can’t stop watching 😍 Thank you for all of the information you have been sharing with us.
Your soap looked good enough to eat. I'm now subscribed, and looking forward to catching up on all your video's. Oh and I just noticed your cat on the last video I watched, he or she is stunning, another little fur baby makes three. 🥰🐾🇬🇧🌲⛄
Hi Jerika! Yes. Castor oil is totally a thing. It's also used to help induce labor! I give it to my daughter mixed with orange juice when she gets constipated too. Lol a few Castor tips there.
hey.Thank you Jerika. I appreciate every video that you post. I've learned soo much from you and everything you make as usual always look amazing. I just started making soaps and you have been an incredible teacher. Thank You.
How much fragrance oil do you add to your soap? %? Also in soap making what is the difference between using fragrance oil and essential oil? I want to stay a natural as I can! I’m a newbie to your channel and I’m hooked!
Lavender was the very first soap I've made. I did a light purple main color and creamy white drop swirl. It came out sooooo good! That was this past Saturday too!
I am very impressed by your tidy as you go approach. And especially the removal of potential obstacles on the bench that would otherwise be in your way and cluttering your work space. Great Skills.
Wow that’s a high percentage of Shea butter. I’ve tested Shea butter from 5% - 70% and didn’t see much difference except I did not like the overall Performance on the higher percent bars so my thought were why waste the Shea ? 5-10 is plenty. Just my opinion.😘🙋♀️🥰 wonderful video.
Beautiful hun! If u wanna speed up waiting on the lye and have 0 fumes, freeze the water u use to make the lye water. measure out the ice and then put small amounts of lye in the ice bowl work it around add more n so on. The water might have a small cloudiness to it but it’s fine. And coconut oil can withstand pretty high temperatures. I melt the cocoa butter and my other butters then When the thee butters and coconut oil are completely melts I measure out my ( unmelted)Shea butter and stir it into those butters and oils and it will gently n slowly melt then I mix it in w the liquid oil’s.
Hey love the video just a beginner add this whole soap making how do you know how much lye and oils you need to make soap like is there a standard calculation for this?
Thank you for your video and the recipe....I took a break from making soap after a fragrance oil I brought solidify my batch in seconds.....it was the worse soap I have made and I wasted lots of money and I had to toss it out...but I learn a lot from this!

I’m new to soaping... making want to become an expert joe! Loved it.
Made lavender vanilla soap but did it a bit different. Put my lye and water bowl over ice cooled a lot faster than 2 hours. Did my oils in the microwave then when it was cooled did it in the molds. Came out perfect.
I really have hard time lining this kind of moulder, so I used selicone moulder with it a lot easier.
If you can make wood molds you can use them to make silicone molds. It will be a one time cost. The cost is worth it savings in time and wax paper.
I enjoyed watching this❤️❤️❤️. Thank you beautiful 🌹
My mom used to give us castor oil and mixed it with orange juice, its more than 15 years since I had it but I still cant stomach orange juice, but I use castor oil for my hair...😍 my hair is soo thick and I dont have any problem with my hairline....

Watchers: be sure to run this recipe through a lye calculator and specific to the light oil you use (as soap maker suggests).
What’s a lye calculator?
@@tiararivera3603 www.soapcalc.net It calculates how much of each oil needed, water and lye for your recipe given your mold size.

I can remember my mom giving me castor oil when I was sick, but I haven't actually thought about giving it to my children...funny that you asked about it. :)
Castor oil is a lubricant. It is used in constipation. Works magic in moderate amounts. Just a tbsp does the work.
Yes my mom use to give my brother and I a tablespoon once a year followed by a peppermint for the taste. We hardly ever got sick.
I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I was new to hemp seed oil but I also love it. Also shop at Costco for ingredients 😀
