you literally explained what hyperfocus is in adhd...lol thats how i got in to doing hair without a license. i just binge watched and can learn one hairstyle in 8hrs of practice... its literally how i figured out how im going to create my 7 businesses out of everything i love to do creatively.
If u freeze ur water into ice cubes when u add lye to the ice it does not release ANY fumes at all. Not even a little. Try it, u will never have to worry about accidentally breathing that in and I don’t have to worry about airing the room either. I can’t inhale any fumes at all. Doing that is a game changer.
What do you mean? You add the lye to ice cubes or vice versa? We’re just by randomly freezing water separately and on the side fumes magically don’t exist? Thanks for clarification.
I started making CP a little less than two years ago. I became inspired like you from seeing bramble berry and few others making it. I started with melt and pour and saw those neat intricate designs and wanted to try it. I was terrified messing with the lye and now it’s second nature to me and we have a small family run business. We’re doing our state fair for the first time and it’s an 11 day event.
I love the feeling of authenticity I get from watching your videos. Thank you for documenting your journey as a business owner and soap maker. You're a true inspiration as to what I know is possible for me to achieve when I start my own business in the future ❤
Omg! Soap Queen TV was my first introduction to bath bombs! I was looking to start making and selling bath bombs when I came across SQTV - now Bramble Berry. My bath bomb recipe was from her recipe and it was a great success. I did stop making them as well as butters and scrubs, but all my ingredients came from her and new aromatics(Canada?). Thanks for sharing and the inspiration - who knows, I may get back into it!
Would love to see a video as if you was just starting out…like the minimum supply’s you would buy with links, and your process on that for those of us not wanting to go into business but want to cheaply do this for a hobby
I love hearing everyone's stories on how they ended up as a soap maker! For me it started almost 7 yrs ago when I was trying to find a sunscreen that I was allergic too and it lead me to someone making their own and then that lead me to soap queen and soaping 101 and royalty soaps and like you I diced into the whole process and watched every video I could 😅 and now half my living has been designated as my soaping area loll
You have taught me so much. Something happened to me after watching your videos. Thank you for showcasing your talents. You have been my inspiration since I started 3 years ago.
This makes me miss making soap. I used to have a cold pressed soap company.. I loved it. Fantastic job you made beautiful soaps.. I used bramble berry when I had my company in 2004.. 😂 I love the scents and they have great products.
💎💎💎 I think you've been very creative in making products. If I saw these soaps online or at a local store, I would likely buy a couple of them for everyday showering and handwashing. Thanks for sharing your journey and tips for running such a business. 🙏🙏🙏
The soaps are very beautiful!!! Also I like the way you add extra oils without hesitating/calculating after you poured the pigments to the mix. Your channel is absolutely is awesome!
I have a business and I make infused oils but now I’m onto soap 🤷🏼♀️ 😆 when I want to try to do something new, I dive in head first 100%. I resonate with your story a lot lol
I love watching all your videos they’re so helpful! The colors came out beautiful even though you may of been worried. Very pastel! Did you create that mica spray you use on the top? It’s the perfect finishing touch!
Such a beautiful soap! Was wondering if you can share the dimensions of your work table? I’m in the shopping process. Looks like you have plenty of tabletop room to use.
Gorgeous!!! I was talking to a soap maker yesterday and she was saying it would take me 6 months to learn how to make soap and then sell it. Do you think it will take that long? I make bath salts, lip balms, room sprays, candles etc already so have some making experience, but not soap yet. Thoughts?
Great video and beautiful soap! However that fragrance did disservice to those beautiful micas. I would expect more from Brambleberry as they are knowns mostly for their testing for soap 😮
Oh my. This is how I started as well. I’ve gotten lye on my hands, and learned just like doing hair perm and relaxers it’s a must to wear protection. Love ❤you Sister
OOOH GIRL! i love the video you have become this same inspiration for others! I have always enjoyed your videos! This is another great one! Wishing you and your husband so many more blessings! Love seeing how far you have come!💕💕
Blessings Jerika, I love watching your videos. You have been a great inspiration throughout my soaping journey. Thank you for your immense generosity in all you share. Have a wonderful day 😊 🙏🏽💕
Thank you for this wonderful information! You're one of the positive and creative people who've inspired me to invest in a new business making soap/candles. Thanks again for your information. Knowledge is power! Thanks girlfriend! \m/
I had not been watching soap making videos for 2 yrs now & I get to watch you again. I’m just wondering, I thought you used to live in Canada but it seems like you live in the US?
LOL the meat soap....I just made my first (accidental) meat looking soap. I made the rhubarb root soap and decided to add a swirl so I used TD to lighten some of the batter. It looks like salami 🤣
I found this to be very informative and easy to follow. With this recipe, using the lye, once the bars are set and cut, can they be used right away or do they need to sit for a bit (and how long) for the it to be safe enough for the lye chemical not to bother/burn the skin?
Have you ever did melt and pour or even sale a base of melt and pour soaps ? ….. I have did a few melt and pour because I don’t have the room to be safe with ventilation to do cold process in my apartment yet .
Yep, I’ve tried melt and pour soap! It’s a lot of fun. Yeah, it’s best to be cautious when working with lye… if it helps, I was able to make a lot of soaps in my apartment when I first started ❤
I usually go to the reviews of the fragrance oil to see from other soap makers if a fragrance oil “sticks” in soap for a long time. You can check out the Fragrance oils from bramble berry’s website - most have a lot of reviews. Bramble berry also has a handy calculator that will tell you how much fragrance oil to add to get a light, medium or strong-smelling product.
This was beaten with the editing stick way too much girl, the video would've been perfect without all that extra!! Thanks for the inspiration and the encouragement, your soap is so pretty!
I so need a teacher one on one I'll pay for thr lessons. I took a soap class and the lady already had it made all we did was mix It i didn't learn sh@# i so am ready to Learn please get back to me I will PAY. Thank YOU.❤

I’m a beginner doing research before I create my first bar. Beautiful soap! Thank you for this video!❤
Same!

I think so many of us start this way!! ❤
Did you find a good sunscreen?
Omg! I’m in love! Ordered this bar . I absolutely love it! It’s beautiful and smells wonderful!
You have taught me so much. Something happened to me after watching your videos. Thank you for showcasing your talents. You have been my inspiration since I started 3 years ago.
You’re so sweet, thank you!

Infused oils? Tell me more! 😍
I love watching all your videos they’re so helpful! The colors came out beautiful even though you may of been worried. Very pastel! Did you create that mica spray you use on the top? It’s the perfect finishing touch!
How pretty! I finally got together an order and placed it early this morning 😊 I'm soooo excited and can't wait to receive everything!
Yay! Thank you! I’m excited for you to try my soaps 💕
@@JerikaZimmerman ❤️ I'm looking forward to trying them and those beautiful bombs too!
Such a beautiful soap! Was wondering if you can share the dimensions of your work table? I’m in the shopping process. Looks like you have plenty of tabletop room to use.
They turned out great. I despise when they morph and turn colors while I’m mixing. But they usually turn out once they saponify.
Right!? It makes me so nervous!!!
This is probably the most beautiful soap you've ever made 😍
Wow thank you!! ☺️
Gorgeous!!! I was talking to a soap maker yesterday and she was saying it would take me 6 months to learn how to make soap and then sell it. Do you think it will take that long? I make bath salts, lip balms, room sprays, candles etc already so have some making experience, but not soap yet. Thoughts?
Wonderful video that's exactly how I got into Cold Process soap making for my family and now other people.
Isn’t it an amazing DIY? I can’t believe more people don’t do it!
I started with Royal Soaps' Katie.
This soap is so absolutely gorgeous. I love these colors so beautiful.
Girl!!!! These are the prettiest rainbow bars I've ever seen!!!!
absolutely love your videos. Each time - I wonder about making soap - yet I have so many allergies I wonder if it would even be possible.
Depending on your allergies, you could just make an unscented bar of soap without any colors or scents!
OOOH GIRL! i love the video you have become this same inspiration for others! I have always enjoyed your videos! This is another great one! Wishing you and your husband so many more blessings! Love seeing how far you have come!💕💕
I like the pastel rainbow with swirls!! You are so creative and I have learned so much watching your channel. Thank you!❤️
I was hooked from the intro alone ❤
I love how you did this on your own and it's so pretty good job ❤
Love this. This is similar how I got into making herbal teas & herb-infused products
Yes, it’s very addictive once you start!
Blessings Jerika, I love watching your videos. You have been a great inspiration throughout my soaping journey. Thank you for your immense generosity in all you share. Have a wonderful day 😊 🙏🏽💕

Your video editing skills are top tier!

LOL the meat soap....I just made my first (accidental) meat looking soap. I made the rhubarb root soap and decided to add a swirl so I used TD to lighten some of the batter. It looks like salami 🤣
We all make one at some point 😂

Jerika, do you ever use melt and pour soap?
You go girl!!!!!!
I love the shape and size of this bar. Can you tell me about this mold? Btw I love your videos. Of course I just bought one! And I love Brambleberry
It’s an extra tall and skinny mold from Winston and Walter. I have her linked in my description 😊
Beautiful work. 💖💜💖💜
Beautiful soap, thanks for sharing ❤

How long do you cure your CP for?
This was cold method ?

How I learned to make soap: I watched Jerika
Awww!! ❤
Your swirls look like pastel fire 🔥 very beautiful
Thank you so much 😀
I'm having trouble getting my soap to smell good. The smell is very light or not there at all. Any advice on how much fragrance oil to add?
I usually go to the reviews of the fragrance oil to see from other soap makers if a fragrance oil “sticks” in soap for a long time. @@JerikaZimmerman thanks
Why would we want to wash our sensitive areas with something corrosive that we need protective PPE to make?
Please how many grams in the the recipe????????
Beautiful 😍❤️
Do you use a tall skinny mold or short chubby
It’s a tall and skinny mold 😊
Jerika, you look like a soap 👑queen👑 in your video photo🙂
This was beaten with the editing stick way too much girl, the video would've been perfect without all that extra!! Thanks for the inspiration and the encouragement, your soap is so pretty!
