Thanks for this video ❤️
BTW, blue magic in ff9 can be learned in multiple enemies, for example White Wind can also be learned from Garuda, and LV3 Def Less can also be learned from Grand Dragons. A little tip... If you must learn an ability from Undead enemies, just throw a phoenix down to them making their hp critical, then eat them to learn m easy peasy 😁
Btw, if you already learn a blue magic from a monster, subsequent monsters that Quina eats which lets him/her learn the blue magic will ends with taste bad. "I no can eat" means monster you can't eat to learn blue magic from - for example mimic.
Yes if ability was already learned subsequent eat will trigger taste bad quote. I no can eat means that enemy cannot be eaten mostly bosses
so on disc 1 (senario 1 *nintendo switch*) you can already get quina and play the story untill burmecia then learn those spells there from the enemys so you can learn them urlier
like pokemon, weaken the enemys untill its nearly defeated then use the eat command there you go.
Yes, I always get Quina in disc 1, learn several abilities via eating by time you reach outer continent
Can Quina learn mustard bomb on disc 1? If so it can be used against Grand dragons, maybe more effective than limit glove..
@princessashleyixthanks
hmmm , why all on disc 4 ?? I've got really strong Quina on disc 1 !!!
you can't get to those islands on disc 1
to get them as quickly as possible!!

Can Quina learn mustard bomb on disc 1? If so it can be used against Grand dragons, maybe more effective than limit glove..
@@taroupriapus9760 I'm pretty sure they can.
@@tmcttf8087
Not very sure of that mate, I played this game around 20 times. In the videos I've seen the only way they can beat the Grand dragons in disc 1 is via limit glove method, well if mustard bomb can be acquired in disc 1 that could be more effective (though the hit rate can miss a lot at low levels)
@@taroupriapus9760 I don't know, I'm certain that I got *Mustard Bomb* for my Quina quite early in the game.
Tyvm u save the day :D
There are any missable abilities?
White wind from garuda
@@firmanaitken8536

I HUNGER FOR BATTLE!!
*Imagining listening to Jar Jar's voice*
He just... ate them.. while they were still alive.. in front of their parents.. and they just survived cancer! 😱
Quina is a she
@@miguelangelsalaslegonia7356 quina seems androgynous
I had one ability in my play through cuz my guy wouldn't eat anything
you have to reduce the enemy to almost death before s/he will eat it
So this means none of them are missable?
followthereaper665 as long as you actually encounter the enemy and learn the ability, you’re right.
Technically they’re all missable
None is miss able. You can learn them from multiple enemies anytime until disc 4
Man, watching all thee videos has made me want to start playinh FF9 again. Does anyone know if the PS1 AND PS2 games work on the new PS4 or is it just the PS 3 that they work on. I have an Xbox at the moment which is just gathering dust!!
+Andy Bull i downloaded PSXIN. which is computer emulator for ff7 8 9 . it also has turbo speed button. so i boost past unwanted fights
you can buy on psn now
Right now if you have a switch it’s available on the eshop
The PS4 models don't feature backwards compatibility, unfortunately.
Just play ff9 on ps one :)
