Just my opinion but probably the most retarded summons of all final fantasies I've seen so far.
Looks like they run out of ideas and decided that turning summons into megazords would have been a good idea🤦♂️

When I played it I was sure that it was impossible to do worse than that. Then i played FFXV. Summon are very nice, but you cannot summon its.
I love how after Brunhildr does her final attack and Sazh goes flying he just splats on the ground. The other summons are being all careful with their tiny humans and here's Brunhildr over here watching and eating popcorn while her summoner ragdolls for the vine.
The last 2 words hit too close to home
To be fair, Sazh is the comic releif of the gang. I ain't to surprised stuff like that happens.

Makes it even funnier is she lifts her hand likes she gonna catch him but just unessessarily pulls out the polearm.
The fact that they turn into vehicles is the most ridiculous thing and I love it.

To be honest, at the end of LR, when Alexander appeared to help him alongside Odin, for me it was awesome.
Note he’s the only one with the eidolon the same sex as he is.
Alexander summon is pretty iconic, loved him in ffvi, ffix and here of course

Their background graphics ran at 60 fps. In FFXIII-3 they only ran at 30 fps.

@Quæsitor修行 FFXIII can't be remade, it's a massive effort and not many players will buy the game because the corridor-like maps were everywhere. This was one of the main problems the game had and it was present in the second game too. Fortunately, LR showed Square learnt the lesson and it was a great game imo.
No the graphic doesn’t hold up. I have never played even one game, this game look totally stupid.
Final Fantasy 13 was my first entrance to the franchise despite seeing FF7 and FFX before but wasn’t into it until this installment. Literally watched all the scenes to its entirety and I have to say it has made me cry at its peak. There was just something magical having seen this firsthand and the nostalgia is coming back man.

me too, I watched my brother beat ff7 and star ocean and all that, this was my 1st ever one I tried and I loved it until I got stuck on tat giant turtle thing at the start of disc 2.. this was like 15 years ago but I still remember I quit the game cuz I couldn't even do 1% of damage to him before he stomped and 1 shot my whole crew... Still wonder what the trick was to beat him cuz i was farming levels for a month and still couldn't touch him... Super crazy choice by devs too I bet so many people quit there too, I loved the game tho, beautiful art style but putting a boss like that, with ungodly health and a 1 shot attack it spammed was a dumb decision.

The game had a good story but it was so linear it could drive you crazy. The battle system honestly surprised me a lot but the fact your character died in battle meant game over sucked a lot, not to mention the impossibility of visiting previous locations in disc 1-2

@@user-wy1et9dk9w In the moment you used appraisal twice, the AI would automatically use the best attacks to deal with any enemy. The Adamantoises became jokes as well as the Long Gui. By that time, the only thing that really will slow you down to get 100% of the game is how long it's going to take before you get a Platinum ingot from the Adamantoises or Long Guis to sell it and get 120k guils. It's quite stupid you couldn't get money otherwise but selling items and not at the end of the battle like they did in the sequels or in other FF games, making the grinding extremely RNGbased and boring.
I lost count how many times I spammed Vanille's Death on those Long Guis.😅 Good times, good times.

My favorite is still odin catching and tossing lightning like a gymnastics instructor would.

Had to use Vanille a few times because of Death, and if you time it right and switch her to being a Comando Death's damage will increase. Though I did try each of the party members as the lead save Snow.
Fang was the only cool character in the game

The fact that Vanille’s ultimate skill is death scares me

I totally love the contrast between her ultimate skill and her naive personality (especially since she’s not that naive)
After 10 years it still looks great. It's quite surprising the graphic level shown in this game. Some locations are breathtakingly beautiful, specially in Sazh-Vanille campaign.

I had to slow down the fight to win. It was long and grueling but I won in the end. If I had to rank the easiest eidolons to the hardest then it would be Snow's, Lightning's, Sazh's, Fang's, Hope's, and Vanille's. The last three lowkey licked my ass and I am like "why me!?"
@@Ferryie I only had to restart Vanille's once because I needed to make sure the role were how I wanted them, and beat the others on the first try as it does give you hints as to what you should be doing in the battle. Hint: there is a reason you don't get that many skills in the other three roles. Each of the characters primary roles are what the Eidolon wants to see.

More like every time vanille spoke was awkward. I always played this game when i was alone because of the weird sex noises she always made. Her character or back story was just bad

@@Nohrellas If you dont think FF7, FF8, or FF10 are the best in series people will question you. My personal Favorite FF is FFIV but FF13/13-2 is second favorite. People love FF8 and think its best but I for one dislike it. If you try to be different in this series people will automatically hate it. Im not trying to say FF13 doesnt have its faults (One being its extremely slow start, which even I hate) but people hate on it way too much.
The graphics of this game are still amazing even after all this time

I liked this game good but flawed. Enjoyed the concept of the summons being mechanical especially since it fits the atmosphere of the game.
I honestly expected the summons to combine megazord style near the end.
I think that was the idea!! After all, Ragnarok is a combination of bahamut and hecatoncheir.

You can say whatever you want but this game was god damn creative! Its literally on the edge of humans fantasy. The most bizarre dream you can ever imagine. They literal said "we will make the most out of reality things that human ever saw, and ever will see". The design, the music, the idea. Seeing Cocoon in the sky still make me feel like... idk... Its hard to explain. It like I'm seeing an Art. It makes me feel "the feelings".
This game gets a lot of hate but I'm sure its cause people haven't played it well enough to know what a great game this is and the music is supreme
Honestly it has my fav combat in the whole series, the music is phenomenal too. Particularly because it wasn't even composed by the genius that's Uematsu, so it being as good as it is is an achievement.

People jumped on a hate bandwagon because it was fashionable. While the game was linear and the story all too short, I did appreciate the character development and interactions and loved the overall theme. I'll take this over XV any day.

It just dawned on to me. I still have this game to this day, and I've never used anyone's ultimate, except for Lightning's Army of One. :/
Vanille's ultimate is the most powerful one because it doesn't reset the stagger gauge
I used them only like here against the Long Gui and to avoid death. They're pretty useless actually.
@@Nohrellas Not necessarily. If you are a ravager Army of One it's great to speed up chain bar and Death could hit for 999999 damage to Long Gui if you changed to Commando right after choosing Death.

It just a matter of opinion really. I actually liked both summons, but I do hate some aspects of them. Ff13's summons is a cool concept in of it itself, a transforming eidolon is pretty cool in a way, but I feel like the execution couldve been way better with better designs. What really bothers me the most is shiva's design because it basically looks like snow is having a three way.
Ff15's summon are also cool and have the awe factor to them. I feel like the designs are done better in this one and you can actually somewhat feel the powers of the astral when you are able to actually summon them. The only flaw is the availability of them and the RNG of getting certain summons you wish to see, which makes the summon system really dumb. Of course, the reason is because the astral are actual characters themselves and would not come on noctis' command willy, nilly. Nonetheless, it is still pretty stupid to rely on RNG to get your summons.

The spectacle from each summon in FFXIII is yet to be recaptured in another mainline Final Fantasy. 13 is still my favourite to this day. What a charming cast and a story that is painfully joyful not to root for.
The narrative really has that good balance of hurtful pain and just pure joy. The ones that followed all became emo and serious lol.
Also, that Vanille x Hecaton ultimate is an orgasm. I can't be the only one who sees that.
Actually, in many summon scene, Vanille x Hecaton ultimate attack is totally orgasm voice, that's make me doesn't want to use Hecaton ultimate attack to finish boss if possible ~
What are u talking about, FFX is way older and had better summon animations, the summons in FFXIII look like scrap metal compared to it.

But I'm glad you spent the time to check out FFXIII and not understand that the metal is the aesthetic of the summons. Not that you would notice that because you can only judge based on FFX.

I love this game.
While this game does have its problems, I still consider this trilogy as one of my all-time favorite game trilogies. The graphics surprisingly have held up nicely and I love the Eidolons.
But my all-time favorite of the bunch is Bahamut. He turns into a fucking dragon and he's the strongest out of all of them. Also, I never managed to get the ultimate attacks and boy, were they just freaking great! Anyway, great video and thanks for the nostalgia! ❤️
Ngl, the 4K remaster on this made all the summons look even more impressive. Also didn't realize that Hope's Eidolon filled up stagger that fast. And stat wise, it's also the strongest one.
Too bad my go-to team on the endgame is Fang (as leader), Lightning, and Vanille cause of how well their abilities and weapons are.

@@rainbowgaming4798 I never caught the other sister's name, just called them Shiva sisters (kinda like the "Arcees" from Bayformers, in G1 Transformers there was only one Arcee and while Chromia and Elita One also existed, they never formed a siblings trio, but then came Michael Bay with his Arcee Sisters, so yea, same story with Snow's Eidolon duo).
Hecaton reminds me a lot of Rikku’s Machina Maw in FFX-2

I remember how actually so awesome the summons & animations were in this. N one of the first FF with "fight with summons for a bit" concept deepened further with unique summon attack commands. Really wish Square remasters at least just this one (the 2nd & 3rd game progressively got uglier but FF13 due to its linear nature graphically still holds up today with strong art direction).
