Shiva has always been iconic to me, the way queen just appears by the side and tells "it's okay I got this" look just so powerful to me.

I don't know. The 15 Shiva summon is kinda a let down for me compare to the other one. Maybe because there's no snap or it doesn't look diamond dust like. She just kinda appear and like yall, it's cold as fuck I guess.
For me it's Ramuh, holy shit that's crazy
I like how Noct doesn't feel the cold when he summons Shiva at the end of the game, because he's now a MAN.

although i do get what he means... in these last games the summons has lost their purpose in the main story :), and that is sad.
I like the summon sequence in FF15, you can really feel the 'power' whenever they are available for summon. On a side note, damn, I would have been spooked/screamed if a giant old man just grabbed me out of nowhere lol.

The first time Ramuh showed up I legitimately made a sound I have never made before. Something about the sudden epic music and this giant godlike entity picking you up and then nuking the entire fighting area made me emit a high pitched tone out of nowhere, and I've never made that noise before or since.
Can never get enough of Shiva in FF games. Love her history. This one is the best Shiva ever.

People keep forgetting that Bahamut does have a humanoid form in FF4. So, to blend him like this was actually kind of badass.
In FF4? I don't remember he had a humanoid form, but then again all Eidolons there had a human form, but when they released their powers they become the summons we know and love.
This Bahamut is just wrong in all aspects. First he has a human form and he doesn't even resemble neither a dragon nor a dragoon(the class)
Secondly: This Bahamut uses "UItima sword" lmao.... as if this being is influenced by Ultima the High Seraph or something...
@@Yokai_Yuri Ahhh a 12 player as well. I don’t mind the Ultima Sword as much, but the armor he is wearing is that of a Royal Nature. So, it does kinda align with the mythos a bit. And I play 14 as well and nobody trusts dragoons, they always mess up your day. XD But, if you play a certain game about a character in 15, Dragoon would oddly fit Bahamut

Me too, except after getting garuda who became even more handy than ramuh.
I always get Garuda (sometimes Ramuh and Leviathan too) and I've never seen Titan.

HA! I just noticed that Ramuh has the image of Ixion (notably from FFX's version) at the top of his staff :D
Not the first time this happened.. FFIX Ramuh had a bird on top of his staff (Quetzacotl from FFVIII, but I guess the PSX graphics made resemblance farfetched at best)
Holy shit I just noticed that, good spot.
And Ramuh has 2 methods to attack, when you're in a building and you summon him, he helps you too, just not like here, but still.
I always wondered what Prompto, Ignis and Gladio must've been thinking when Ramuh only picked up Noct and continued to decimate everything in sight.
I guess they are strong enough to tank all summons. Prompto > Ramuh

You just gotta love Ifrit. He was always amazing but in FF 15 hes just incredible. And so, so sad.
the summons were great for me until XII, after it they became so boring. I like Ramuh but all of them seem so unpolished in the end. See how leviathan is just like that, you barely see the damage being made (which is the fun part) and then it ends and noctis is like shooting fake af water particles lol. There could be more of water flowing over, simple texture effect going down bellow the ground but no. For a game that took like a decade to be made it looks very much like it was rushed, what the heck is happening Square?
It was rushed, nomura fucked up, wasted time, and the lead developer had to be changed in order for the game to not be cancelled. Then nomura went and fucked up kh3 and made versus Xlll into kh3 anyways

Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut are REALLY good looking in this game. They look better than all their predecessors from previous FF.

I love dragons a lot and I prefer them over human characters, but I must admit this Bahamut is the best in my opinion. He has such a cool design, but sadly he has so much wasted potential, and the others gods kinda do too. If the story of the game was better written it would’ve been cool if they did more things with all the astrals in general.

Late af, but yeah, they, including Ifrit, are my favorites! It annoys me so much that Bahamut only appears at the ending and is literally useless. I love his design a lot and it’s a shame he has so much wasted potential :/

Because disinterested is not FFXV Shiva . Most things she does is out of personal reasons, as she cared for Lunafreya amd Noctis like a mother would her kids, she even gave Noctis the right to summon her after deliverimg Lunafreya's memory of how much she loved him, she was felled by humans once when she tried to save Ifrit, and thus, she would rather chose a killing method that is more likely to succeed, boring but practical..

This is totally late but you need to be in some source of water to summon Shiva.

- Garuda (XV)'s _Call of the Crosswinds_
- Luna and all Summons (no Garuda) breaking the wall

The moment i realize i can't control the gods, i was done playing.

Ixion and Ramuh mixed together, Alexander fuses with Bahamut, Ifrit goes back to his original legend form, Attack on Tit... I mean Colosus is ok, Leviathan as sleek and always but 0 chill (stop attacking the summoner) and most importantly Shiva learned from the Magus Sister how to clone herself for more dramatic effect.
But I find it to be not enough... I hope there are lots of secret summons yet to be discovered.
Devin Buettgenbach Maybe a DLC will make it possible in the future. So many good summons not featured but who knows...
The Magus Sisters weren't clones, they were actual sisters. Just like how Shiva was a pair of twins in FF13.
if you're inside an area and summon the thunder god you see him throw the spear thing to your location as opposed to slamming it on The floor

Actually the Past Kings of the game are supposed to be the Knights of round from FF7 and Noctis is the last King for them
CGI's were great but only being able to summon 1 of three and when ever they felt like it, not so great.
its a shame they didnt add more summon. Odin, Phoenix, Hades, Lucians Kings (substitute of Knights of Rounds), Bahamut. (Bahamut and Lucians Kings could been more than just a summon EXCLUSIVE to story mode.)

They made a error with shiva after she kissed him on the lips she should have snapped her fingers before the shatter reference to FF10
ok, I get why noctis needs the other 5 symbols but if Ifrit was already defeated what was the point of getting his blessing when you can't summon him at all
He was corrupted by the Starscourge, and as such, put under Ardyn's control.
The point was that Noctis needed all six blessings in order to fulfill his destiny as the true king

Bahamut is at 3:27 against the fight with Ifrit. Other than that? Yeah they missed all the others. REALLY wanted to see at LEAST Alexander if there was a Bahamut.

@@Bardiel72 Bahamut has been the king dragon since final Fantasy 1. Him having warp magic like Noctis (blood of kings) is actually very creative and pretty damn cool. Bahamut doesn't always have to fire giant lasers.

All this talk about Shiva and sh!t But no one mentions that fight with Ifrit and Bahamut. Most fire thing I remember seeing in the game (no pun intended).
They did a good job with the summons in this game. In every other FF game they're just a powerful attack but nothing actually noteworthy. And even when controlled like in X and XII they aren't really any better than the player characters. Here they're treated very much like divine intervention since they are somewhat rare, are huge, and with few exceptions they will end every fight in one go. So they feel a lot more special and not just another big spell to be cast.

It was not one of the best FF's, but it was remarkable.
Still think the graphics in this game with the luminous engine is better than FF7r with the Unreal Engine. FF7r looks amazing, but they put mad detail in this FFXV. They cut corners in FF7r with textures. Characters looks better in cut scenes at some points. Say what you want about FFXV, but no one can knock the graphics. Some of Square Enix's best work in my opinion. Just on graphics though. Story was a train wreck to get it all. Movie, books, demos, dlc, & main game. It was way too complicated to see it all.

The Adamantoise v Titan summon will always make me laugh for how ridiculous it looks and sounds. A giant naked man who carries a meteor breaks into a full sprint, has a fistfight with a tortoise then leaves.

Gotta admit FF15 's summons are the best of all FF so far. FF 7 remake can't even compare. FF 13's are nothing cool but cringyness...

Leviathan tends to show if you are around water, like at the Vesperpool. Shiva comes whenever she wants, it seems. I need to manage to get Titan, maybe by fighting Adamantoise again.

Yeah but that doesn't say much if you can't choose to summon them in the first place. The game plays by itself. This is the worst summoning ''system'' ever conceived and created. So epically inconceivably bad.
Dang, they’re at Final Fantasy 15 now... I stopped at X2 but also heard about the 12 or 13.
They look epic but they are either scripted or random which is lame
I thought the first time I saw the old man as a summon was Odin but it was somebody else... Ramuh...
With the graphics that they have now they should remake the old final fantasy game exactly the same as it was.. and with their graphics and everything they should be able to do spells like let's say lightning and it has a different pattern each time.. if borderlands 3 can have 5 million guns in the game.. just generates a random one..they can do that with the same spells on final fantasy. have the patterns be randomly generated.. that way the old style final fantasy will never get dull because it will be almost like something new each time... It could be done... I hate these active battle games..

I was so dissapointed in the summons of FFXV... not only that they were almost completely random they were also overpowered as hell all in all i would say FFXV has the worst summon mechanic of all the FF games i played.... not to mention Bahamut can only be summoned once in the entire game! WTF!

Summons are awesome but the summoning mechanics are complete garbage. God so many things about this game is garbage..This game is a fine example of development hell
So damn large potential in this gam.... But becouse FF XV was just too easy and you could beat the game without summons support , using just magic combos i must say that potential is wasted...I hope will bbe more FF like VIII and X

I only was able to summon Ramuh (and only twice) during the whole game (including most sidequests). As well as Shiva and Bahamut during mandatory story segments.
Others, I didn't know how to bring them forth (nor would have cared to summon them after realizing how stupid it is to have such peculiar requirements which the developers HIDE FROM YOU). This is NOT HOW YOU DO SUMMONS IN A FF GAME.
I could have accepted them it if they were too powerful (supposed to be deities here), and thus would be limited to special encounter during the story, but you had to make them available yet decided arbitrarily not reveal what are the requirements for them once you unlock them. WTF???
This game took a lot of shit from the gaming community but that kind of decisions is exactly why those who directed the project deserve to step aside from the FF franchise and go back working on meaningless stuff.
It mostly depends on the area you're in. Leviathan being open for summon if you're by the water/sea for instance, Shiva if you're by a cold place, etc.
